I visit this beautiful weaving store every summer and my eyes glaze over at the beautiful works of woven rugs and wall hangings. If you have any interest at all in weaving, stop here! They offer classes to teach how to do these magnificent works of art. They use a loom called a Rio Grande walking loom which they let me observe a class in session using this loom. Fabulous idea. This is not your typical southwest rug weaving shop. Sure, they have southwestern patterns, but what I like is the more modern, even geometric designs that they will teach you how to weave. I“m planning on trying this out in the near future. Weave on!

Okay, I have never written a review for this kind of store, but I had such a great experienced here. They have shelves and shelves of yarns and threads made from local sheep of all types. The dye colors are very southwestern and warm. I do not knit or sew, but I bought some for my knitter sister. When the woman working saw that my group was interested, she showed us each step in the weaving process– how to load the loom, how to begin a piece, how to make different patterns, etcetera. She also walked us through the pieces they had for sale. They had so many gorgeous pieces of art. Even if you’re clueless to the craft like we were, you should stop in and look around.
