Salon 132

Salon 132 can do a wonderful haircut. In less than 20 minutes I got a beautiful haircut. I didn’t even have an appointment. The staff are very caring and kind.

I get my hair done by Stephanie and she does an amazing job each and every time. I’ve been going to her for almost a year now and I couldn’t be more content with her skills. She is great with reminders and just overall an amazing stylist. Salon 132 has me coming back time and time again not just because of my favorite stylist, but because I enjoy the atmosphere too! I recommend any lady who wants great highlights and an amazing color expert to go to Stephanie!

LOVE LOVE LOVE My Hair by Stephanie. I was visiting my parents after some extreme drama at work. I needed a Big change! Not only did she do an awesome job, she had had a cancelation last minute and I lucked out. I had wanted this done in Huntington Beach but it cost me more and barely had any highlights. Stephanie did a full highlightjob all the way through for less. I’ll be back for sure at Christmas! She was so friendly accommodating, and a perfectionist which is awesome when it comes to your hair. Thank you Stephanie! I get tons of compliments…

Joy is a life saver. She did exactly what I wanted and what I had pictured in my head for my color. She did the best highlights. You need to go to her! And she’s the sweetest

First time in the salon and I got lucky to find Joy Kincaid. I did highlights and a short haircut and she did a phenomenal job on both, she is a great listener and a very caring person. I highly recommend Joy:)

this was a great experience. I realize that each hairdresser is an independent, and my review is for specifically Joy Kincaid’s work. I liked the feel of the salon, and the location is marvelous! I was happy to get an early appointment on a Saturday, which left me ready to go to Farmer’s Market afterwards! I truly love a salon that will do an early appointment. After years of late afternoon or midday appointments, to get an early day appointment was such a treat! I was given a gift certificate for Joy Kincaid and it could not have come at a better time. Joy was able to make the appointment the next day after I phoned, and it was at a super convenient 10 am! Having never met before, she immediately took one look at me and told me that she could do a lot to make my hair far better both in color and condition. This was refreshing to meet someone who «tells it like it is», not insulting or demeaning, but certainly the truth and a truth that needed to be told and rectified.
After talking with her for a few minutes, she took me to the sink, shampooed, then placed a deep conditioner and had me under the dryer for a while. Then, she cut it, removing a lot of fried out ends. She was careful and thoughtful as to what she visioned for my hair and my best look. She kept most of the length but removed a lot of the fried hair. Then, she went to work on the color. My hair had gotten so light that people would comment on it, saying «your hair has gotten so light»…these are the comments I have heard, not anything like «Your hair is pretty». Because it is too washed out and dull. Well, not anymore. Joy did a full head of foils in both highlight and lowlight colors. No bleach was applied to my scalp… none. It was all in foils. No burning scalp experience like I have become accustomed to.
Instantly, when she removed the foil, and I saw it as it was combed out, I was very surprised, pleasantly I might add! Joy put my natural, youthful color back in my hair… but the odd thing is that i did not tell her or show her a photo or even have a clue that this could be done! I did not even know that this was the best thing to do! I would have been fine if she had just done the roots and a trim, but I got soooo much more than I expected was possible. As she dried it and then styled it, I could not believe my eyes. Yes, I am still blonde, but not like before… nothing like before. Joy is truly a master colorist. I am impressed, and oh-​so grateful. Her prices are fair, especially for her level of ability. It was a great experience, and I will be back!

I received a very nice note of apology and refund from «E», the girl that did my toenails. She mentioned that nail art wasn’t her specialty and I understand that. From the get go, «E» was so sweet and because of that, I will not cash her check and if nail art was her specialty I would go back ONLY because of her! However, like I said in my other update, I wasn’t impressed with the way Stephanie handled my phone call. ‘Nuff said… I won’t go back.

I have been going to Salon 132 for years for manicures and hair care. Betty Ann is a wonderful manicurist and has kept my nails looking great for over a decade.
Stephanie is one of the best colorist and hair dresser I have ever had. My hair looks natural (important to me) and great.
The whole salon is a happy, pleasant place to be.

Classy salon with shabby-​shic ladies making me feel like family while getting dolled up! These women are fabulous artists, and the place is an absolute gem! Impressed by each professional and I highly recommend Teena for nails!!!

While on vacation I needed a haircut (short hair) and color touch-​up (red). Made an appt. with Amanda who was very friendly and did a wonderful job. Will choose her again if in the area. Salon is decorated very nicely and located in the delightful village of Arroyo Grande. Made the right choice in selecting this salon.

I have been going to Salon 132 for quite awhile. Stephanie is a great stylist. She is great at blond hair. She took me from blonde to a vibrant red and then back to blond without damaging my hair. You really feel at home here. The salon seems busy and the nail ladies always have clients. The prices are reasonable after paying LA prices elsewhere. Great location too. Highly recommend.

My daughters and I have gotten great haircuts, up do’s and waxing there! The best
hair experience was when Stephanie made me look just like Ginger Spice when
I took my daughter to The Spice Girl concert! The owners and staff are lovely!
