Fast Greenery

So disappointing! This used to be the best nursery with hardy plants and a world class selection of herbs including dwarf sage, French tarragon and and creeping thyme. Not just starter flats but two or three year old mature plants available. Now nothing but flowers. Selection smaller than a standard Home Depot and didn’t look much better. Pretty flowers but big change in direction. Definitely not worth the drive.

Hubby and I have been purchasing our plants from this family for many, many years. While yes, we shop at Lowe’s or True Value from time to time — our preference, and the plants that neighbors stop and compliment us on, come from Fast’s.
They are in the country. Think Nolensville, then Arrington, and this is like in the middle. Their greenhouses are truly working greenhouses, they propagate the plants themselves. If you come early in the season, the little begonias and petunias are small. Come later in the season, they’ve grown a bit. Seriously, this is the factory adn the store.
Not that you need more motivation to buy direct, but did you know when you are buying from a farmer in this type of setting you don’t pay sales tax? Bonus!
The greenhouses go on and on and on… they just have so much more stuff, and such great looking stuff. Their hanging baskets are second to none, seriously show stoppers. Their selection, awesome. And the people that work there? Fantastic folks.
Once you visit, you’ll be family. Go pay them a visit!
