I have been to ruby Tuesday quite a bit but just now getting to reviewing. For the category of dining they are in, they are well above average in my opinion. Salad bar is always fresh and has great options. Menu has plenty of options. Today I had crab cakes and salad bar. Crab cakes are not lump crab but overall above average for a typical American family place. Service was top notch. A solid 4 star experience today.

We ate lunch here today, as we do often. But not a great experience. Okay so your greeted by what we believe to be a bipolar hostess. One day she is over bubbly and the next she’s a creepy weirdo. Her hair is 3ft down her back and on the way out I noticed her playing with it, OVERTHEBAR! Rediculous! That’s just one of many annoyances. So we ordered an appetizer, it never came out! I ordered one side with my entre and had to ask for it to be brought out. The server failed to refill our water the entire time we were there. Aggravating to say the least! I always feel like this place is hit or miss but today was really bad. I would recommend this place if you have zero expectations, and frankly you’ll eat anything because even something like brussel sprouts which should be fresh and delicious, they manage to miserably fail at preparing.

My wife and I dine here about once every other month. We are always pleased with just about everything. The servers are a bit hit or miss on experience, but usually they are polite and very attentive. Their salad bar is incredible and definitely worth the $ 2.99 add on to an entrée. The menu is typical bar and grill food. The meals are delicious and you get just the right portion. It’s a little more pricey than some surrounding bar and grills, but the salad bar alone makes coming back worth it.

I’ve been to this Ruby Tuesdays location plenty of times over the years, though quite some time has passed since my last visit. I drive by it every day, but I tend to forget about it at the same time. This is your typical chain restaurant that serves a variety of foods including seafood, chicken, pastas, burgers, salads, etc. so there’s sure to be something for everyone. I’ve never personally had any issues with the service as others previously mentioned. Our servers have always been very friendly and efficient. One of the positive points for me when coming here is the amount of healthy menu offerings to choose from. One of my favorite low cal dishes is Chicken Bella, which is a decent size breast topped with portobello mushrooms, artichokes, and a light cream sauce. It comes with two sides, and I usually go with the mashed potatoes(no gravy) and the salad bar. I love that the salad bar is included as a side option for the entrees with no up charge… lots of goodies on there to get my veggie fix. The downfall for me here is the price of certain menu items. I think my Chicken Bella is priced right at $ 13.99, but some of the other entrees are overpriced for the food you’re getting. Seriously, who comes to Ruby Tuesdays for a lobster dinner? Though there are plenty of other restaurants in the area where I’d rather spend my money, it’s a convenient place with decent food that I’ll continue to keep in my rotation every now and then.

Ruby Tuesday’s has never been known for speedy service but the food was at least decent. This particular RTs has not exceeded the service part for sure. It’s very odd that a restaurant with 4 tables of guests takes so long for every part of your meal. It became grueling at one point because the server wouldn’t return to the table. I eventually got up and went to the bar. The food today was too salty and took too much time for such substandard fare. It seems RT will never fix the little things like good service and great food.

Four of us had dinner on Friday, 8÷22÷14. We arrived at 6:45pm and it was fairly busy but we were seated at the first booth(behind the hostess station) in the bar without much delay. Let me say, that particular booth is NOT a good idea if you want a peaceful dining experience. You are subjected to all the comments the wait staff has to make about how unhappy they are with their job, their tables, etc. One waitress, wearing a bright yellow shirt, long blond hair pulled up in a pony tail, felt it necessary to walk up and inform two other waitresses that she wished to tell table XX to F-off. Yeah, that was the kind of lovely conversation we had to listen to during our dinner. As for the food itself, not bad. Not great, but not terrible either. Two of us ordered grilled salmon(both thought it was good, but a bit greasy for something on the Fit menu), one ordered fish tacos(and thought they were good) and the other ordered the bourbon chicken. He ordered it with broccoli and a backed potato with butter, no sour cream. It came with mashed potatoes, nothing else. We finally got our waitresses attention and she said she’d fix it right away. A man(assuming he was a cook based on his dress) came shortly with broccoli and a baked potato with butter AND sour cream already on it. We again explained the order and he was back shortly with the right thing. In general, we waited for water and tea refills each time. Overall, even though most of the food was satisfactory, between the foul dialog of the wait staff and the time it took to get our order correct, we won’t be back. There are simply too many choices in the area to put up with this type of experience. There are other places who will gladly accept your money and give you more for it.

So, Ruby Teusday can be either a hit or a miss, depending on the server you get. Some of the servers are a bit under-experienced and don’t really know what to do. My first excursion into this joint, the manager had to compensate me for a free dessert. They do try, but sometimes its best to go to another place instead. This time was no exception. I happened to take my mother out for the 4th of July holiday weekend and there was hardly anyone around. You’d think we would get good service, am I right? Hardly. I ordered a burger, a side of mac & cheese and a loaded baked potatoe. My mom ordered ribs and her normal sides. She was openly offered her the salad bar as a side. But, when I asked for the salad bar in addition to my food, the server grimaced and started to say: «Well, we can’t order the salad bar with any of the burger options.» She noticed the apparent frown on my face and she quickly did an about face and advised that the salad bar would be an additional cost. I did not like that as the worst customer verbiage in my book is the word«can’t», such as «we can’t do that», etc. Really, management should teach their servers on the correct verbiage to tell their customers. Permanently tattoo it on their hands, sticky note something to their forheads, put them as button flairs ala office space. Whatever, do something, because the first 5 minutes completely soured that experience. Also, there wasn’t enough staff to even provide enough drink refills as I sat there for 20 minutes with an empty glass of Coke Zero. As far as the food experience? Excellent to mediocre. I love their mac & cheese recipe, and thank God, I got the loaded baked potatoe, simply because they gave me a skimpy portion of mac & cheese. Great to mediocre food, but terrible service. So, please, please Mrs. Ruby, think about getting better help!

We(My husband, 2 kids and myself) stopped there for lunch today. As soon as we walked in the door, an awful smell assaulted our nostrils. We were seated but decided to leave before ordering as the odor was grossing us all out. My 12 year old complained that the smell made her stomach hurt. If I had to identify the odor, I would say it was a mix between an old, musty, mildewy, mouse-infested house and a sewer plant. We will not go back.

This is my favorite place to eat. Love the non-smoking atmosphere and the food. Great servers and management too.
