This negative review is only because of the unethical business practices associated with US Tae Kwon Do. The facilities and instructors are great. But buyer beware – you have to sign a contract. I made the mistake of signing a three year contract – which is a standard commitment. 6 months in, we found that this was not the right place for us(class times were not convenient and interfering with school, my son has a knee injury exacerbated by TKD, drive across town was too long again interfering with school. School is more important. THEREISNOWAYOUTOFTHECONTRACT. 16 months later we are still paying and we do not go. We have tried everything. They are unsympathetic and unfriendly. I have never, ever heard such poor customer service. Unethical.

My 5 y/o son has been going here for over 6 months now and loves it. The owner and instructors are very knowledgeable and professional. It is a great atmosphere and positive environment for children.

Southern Belle that I am, I asked my pretty petunia of a daughter if she was ready to take up ballet. She responded with, «Well, I thought I would try Tae Kwon Do first». Best. Thing. Ever. My daughter is an introvert, at 6… I mean, it was a big deal when she stopped addressing ONLY the teacher in Kindergarten class and acknowledged the other children. So, I was a little skeptical about putting her in a class that focuses on solitary experience. I couldn’t have been farther from the mark. Yes. TKD is about besting your personal score, furthering your achievements, but it is taught in a familial atmosphere. The Masters at this school, Park and Freddy and Grand Master Kang, are the patriarchs. They truly regard their pupils as family… and as family, the kids are expected to show respect and discipline. In 9 months, my daughter has ascended to Blue Belt. She can break boards and her form is excellent. More importantly, she is totally self confident BUT respectful AND engaging with all age groups. U.S. Tae Kwon Do College is a breeding ground for strength, confidence, and maturity. That said, be prepared. It IS a commitment. It IS pricey. You DO have to make the time. However, I have no doubt that it is worth any sacrifice.
