Where did you go? You left your loyal customers out to dry with gift cards they can’t redeem. Poor business ethics to say the very least.

I love this place… although finally finishing my review. The staff are REALLY friendly and helpful. They really know how to made good coffee and espresso drinks. Big fan of breakfast, either during the week or on the weekends. Each is individually made unlike Starbucks and great portions sizing and flavor. Definite step up to other strictly coffee and pastry shops around. Sad to see that it’s closed since I never made it to any of the wine tastings… hoping the sign on the door is only temporary but seems unlikely =(

Closed! There is a paper sign on the door indicating they would be closed a day or two in January, but they haven’t reopened, and the inside is now empty. Hope this saves someone a trip.

This is definitely a unique place. It’s like a Starbuck’s, a bistro and a wine store all rolled into one. I ate here for lunch and ordered the Roast Chicken and Lemon Soup, which was very good. Also the Jerk Chicken Salad, which was also pretty good. Everything in it was very fresh, but it didn’t really have a jerk flavor. They are a little stingy on the dressing, serving a very small cup of it on the side. I asked for the salad without pine nuts, but the salads are pre-made. In spite of this, the one I ate did not have pine nuts, so they must have figured out a way to make another salad in the back, which was awesome of them. And then you can buy a bottle of wine to go!

I took out onto road again to find a good breakfast spot. I came across the Urban Pantry for Sunday brunch and wasn’t disappointed at all! The food was delicious, their chai tea latte was almost perfect. The only reason they are only getting four stars is due to their small brunch menu. I will definitely be returning though for some scones and other delicious pastries. Thankfully this place is close to my residence so I’ll definitely be coming back to try their dinner menu and wine. They have a HUGE selection of wine.

Great neighborhood eatery with gellatto, wine, and beer, excellent breakfast, lunch, and light dinner options. New evening hours make it a better happy hour spot. Try the chocolate chip pancakes, breakfast sandwich on ciabatta or omelette, and the jerk chicken salad is great. I’m addicted to the gellatto. Why three stars? Horrible, horrible customer service. They don’t have a phone number to order for take out nor are on seamless or grubhub. Staff have often been confused about orders and today took the cake. I ordered a salad to go, and waited for 20 minutes, and when I asked if it was ready, the cashier told me «didn’t you realize that’s in one of the fridges?» No, I didn’t, and she hadn’t told me to look. No sincere apology, offer of a free dessert for my wasted time or anything, just went on with her work.

Came here for brunch. I ordered an egg white omelet with spinach, tomatoes, and herbed goat cheese with a side of fresh fruit. I also got a sparkling mango beverage which was awesome! Nice healthy meal and prices were okay too. We will be back!

I’m always looking for great places to fuel up or after a bike ride. Urban Pantry is a favorite that never disappoints. Breakfasts are great! My favorite is the Short Stack. They brew Ily coffee. There are beans that I like better, but ily makes a good cup of coffee. Their portions are not huge, but I like that. The prices are appropriate. Service is awesome. I like the walk-up ordering. It means few interruptions during the meal. I haven’t tried their wine list yet. That is next for me. Please stop in and enjoy this place. I do regularly.

Formally know as Little City Gourmet and the sign is still above the door so don’t be confused. Not what I expected and that is what the 3 star is coming from. I didn’t try anything so I cant judge the quality of food served. I thought I was going to be walking into a small grocery/café store offering local goods. I pictured a couple of rows of local produced food items and then the café on the side. Nope, this was more of a upscale coffee shop with gelato(cheapest I have seen in the area) and wine. I guess they had a menu but I didn’t see it. Super casual and there was plenty of street parking, free on Sunday. Not much of a review but I may go back at a later point in time to give it a go.

Before you dismiss Urban Pantry as another hipster, farm-to-table business, please read what I have to say about this exemplary eatery, which straddles Arlington and Falls Church City. If you want to eat delicious food prepared with the freshest of ingredients, Urban Pantry is the place for you. Yesterday, I ordered their veggie deluxe sandwich, which is described on the menu as being filled with portobello mushroom, roasted red pepper, goat cheese, and vegetable slaw. What wasn’t mentioned on the menu, but added a really nice touch, was haricot vert! Forgive me for being so inexperienced, but I have never had green beans inside a sandwich before, and I loved that detail. It added a springy flavor and really beautiful color to the already impressive vegetarian sammie. I also tried their potato salad, and it was phenomenal. The diced potatoes were tossed with mayo, mustard, and what looked like pink peppercorns. The combination was perfect. I would eat this again and again and again. Besides selling freshly prepared meals to enjoy dining in or to-go, Urban Pantry also has a nice selection of freshly made pastries, gourmet snacks, farmer’s market eggs, locally prepared drinks, alcoholic and non, and dips. While these items are rather expensive, they are a worthy indulgence because the flavors that come through are nothing like you’d experience by just picking up a popular household brand, or even something from Whole Foods. We got Running Byrd Tea to try, a local brand which sells various types of iced teas. We got the lemongrass white peach, and it was amaaaaazing! Highly recommend. Besides the great food, Urban Pantry also makes a good dining spot because the setting is quite nice. I love the rustic, mismatched tables and chairs. This is how I will decorate my kitchen once I have the time and funds. They also provide an assortment of wine that you could imbibe while snacking on one of their well-prepared foods. Urban Pantry also offers breakfast on the weekdays and brunch on the weekends. I wish I lived closer so I could stop by more often. Until we own our dream home in Falls Church City… Anyway, stop by and try Urban Pantry if you haven’t been before. This is where I would have my food catered, if my venue didn’t already cover the food. Love Urban Pantry.

I can only speak to their gelato as I stopped in here for a quick treat but it might be the best gelato I’ve ever had. We had the key lime pie and espresso — both creamy and oh do good. Hot day — this is my new go to get my sweet fix.

Formerly little city gourmet, this place is even better. Much faster service and an expanded menu(had pancakes, eggs benedict, turkey sausage and potatoes for brunch!) … Wine tastings and affordable bottles make it a destination to pick up a nice hostess gift… With more outdoor seating to come(I asked …) and a fuller menu, a great addition to falls church /arlington neighborhood… Not to mention awesome coffee and free wifi :)

This place is well on its way to becoming a neighborhood gem. It’s much more than a convenience store. I stumbled in here one morning desperate for a cup of coffee. Not only did I get an amazing café mocha they had all of my favorite conveniences: baked goods, wine, cheese, jars of olives, cava mezze hummus… and Great Lakes beer! Luxury conveniences? All my favorite things?!? I’m wasn’t just impressed by having all of my favorite foods and beverages at my fingertips, they also have a pretty great breakfast, brunch and lunch menu. Today I had the Old Reliable with a fruit salad. I would certainly recommend it and look forward to ordering it again. Service was also excellent. Helpful, direct and polite. If you’re near the W&O trail, new in town or live in the area, I would highly recommend stopping in and trying it out for yourself. My guess: you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Also you will likely leave full and happy. :)
