I luv Torrid’s jeans and accessories. However I don’t think I will be returning to this location. The parking is horrific during the day and the store is dirty. The staff kept beating on the dressing room door like the police and the manager was walking around barefoot. While trying on some clothes my top feel on the floor and when I picked it up there was grey thick dust and hair all over it. Which left me pissed and grossed out. If I wanted dust and dirt all over my clothes I would have went to Ross … Instead paying $ 78 for pants that would end up getting dirty during my fitting. I will still shop at Torrid just not this location.

I love Torrid clothes but they are very expensive. I try to go to all of their big sales, but don’t always make it. They have quality underwear, swimsuits, dresses, and jeans. If you are a plus size woman under 30 this is the place to go but be warned you will probably only get two or three items for $ 100.

Torrid is the queen of having clothes that look great on the models and the hangars that look like crap on me. I give them props for using real plus size women as their models, but they must all be the same shape. I have gotten a few great items at Torrid but sometimes I get depressed shopping there after trying on a bunch of clothes that was designed for apples rather than pears. Sometimes I do find some great items. They are usually a bit pricey. Luckily they have a lot of sales. Their online store is terrific, but I have to be careful what I order because of the aforementioned shape issue. Tunics and babydolls are pretty safe though. Some of the clothes have weird sizing issues, especially for bottoms. The other night I tried on a bunch of capris. One pair was an 18 and fit perfectly. I tried on another style 18 and I could barely get it up my leg. So I grabbed the 20 in the same exact style, and there was two inches of gap at the waist. I have sometimes had variance of up to three sizes in what would fit me between different items. Which makes me very reticent to ever order bottoms from the online store. My favorite Torrid purchases are this adorable jacket that I paid too much for but love anyway and some of the really cute tops I got for dirt cheap on online clearance. I suppose I am a bit older than their target clientele, but who cares? I like their ‘diva style’ program, where your purchases rack up points for savings. I saved a few bucks on my capris the other night without even knowing I was going to. Yay!
