I just found this place while running an errand and I’m in love! The meat looks fantastic – I haven’t tried it yet, but it’s cut in house and they offer rabbit, elk, alligator and other surprises. The produce selection is small but high quality. There are some wonderful sauces, jams, (expensive) cheeses, and my favorite Trickling Springs ice cream and milk. The owner was so friendly to me and seems passionate about what he carries. Plus, it’s partnered with the brewery next door. A terrific addition to Clarendon!

With yesterday’s (03⁄23) temps hitting the upper 70s, I figured it was time to drag the Weber out of hibernation and invite a few friends over for steaks and grilled veggies. Usually I’ll hit Whole Foods for a chunk of meat, but I decided to give our new neighborhood butcher a try. Man, am I a genius. Sehkraft Butcher Shop is actually bigger than I expected with a nice selection of meats to choose from. Cody was working the counter when I popped in and he helped me pick out a gorgeous ribeye from the Roseda Farms, which I guess is locally sourced. He also gives good cooking tips. They also had a monster tomahawk chop that was so tempting but talk about midnight meat sweats! They have a case full of game meats like rabbit, emu, alligator, elk and kangaroo. I might have to come back for the elk. They also have craft beers and some cool dairy products like cheese and yogurt which I will explore next time, cause hell yeah I’m going back!

Prices are very reasonable and they have a great selection of meats. I’ve been eating organic for years but the meats I’ve tried there are so much more flavorful than anything I’ve had from other organic stores. Love that they support local farms!

Great service and great products! We have found the quality of the meats here to be noticeably better than any of the other grocers/​butchers we have in the area. We’ve used them for special dinners and for weeknight meals for just the family; always a hit! Thanks to a great staff eager to offer advice and suggestions. We’ve also gotten some of the non-​meat items (ice cream, cheeses) and found them to be wonderful as well. So happy to have a real butcher shop in town! With people working there who obviously care about what they are doing and are enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge. Superior quality plus exceptional customer service! Keep up the good work and congratulations on filling a huge need for those of us who are passionate about good food!

Outstanding new addition to the neighborhood! Innovative and unique meats, so far above the generic feed lot crap you find at the supermarket. Plus, great cheeses, a limited supply of sundries, and a door that opens to the brewery next door. Prices are a bit high, but commensurate with the quality.
