The American Barber Academy

I discovered American Barber Academy through an Amazon Local offer. Okay — I was a little skeptical. Can a barber school get it right? The answer is «yes.» I’m hooked and expect to be a long-​time customer. For most of Arlington and Alexandria, the location is easy to reach. There is free on-​street parking as well as free parking in their lot. The appointment web site is intuitive, easy to use. I arrived early in case I could start early. A weekday morning, so things weren’t busy and I was seated as soon as I arrived. A warm welcome from all the students and the instructor. I brought a photograph of a haircut that I really liked. The student and teacher /​owner looked and planned how the haircut would proceed. She checked in frequently, but the student was doing an excellent job. The student has several more months of instruction, so I look forward to more haircuts with him. American Barber Academy is quite a find, and even without a coupon, it is very easy on the pocketbook! Highly recommended.

The teacher is really on point when it comes to men’s hair cuts. Simple to understand even for people who never did this before. Not only is she an educater but a professional as well. You won’t be disappointed

The student did a great job cutting my 4-year-old’s hair. (A little short on top, but it’ll grow in quickly.) Owner was very engaging and involved. Facilities are beautiful, well kept. Easy to make an appointment online. For $ 10 — including our tip — a real bargain. We’ll be back again!

Really polite and professional. It was quick and they did a really good job. The place is easy to access and extremely cheap for the quality of the haircut. I highly recommend this place.
