I thought this was great. Not much on atmosphere, definitely felt like a take out or lunch spot, but the food was good. I tried the Red Curry with chicken. It was very fresh, with perfect heat, and served hot with perfectly cooked rice. I’m excited to come back and try more things!

This is one of the best thai restaurant that I have been so far. Since I’m Thai, so it safe for me to say this is one of the place that can offer a true authentic Thai food. I would recommend you to try golden seafood and somtom combo. They are tasty and yummy! The service and waiter are great. They are very polite. I would be back there again!

Restaurant Chefs and Owners Must Never Forget Those Two Power Words, «I’M SORRY!» I scalded my lips and tongue on the Tom Something soup leaving me no choice but to shout in pain, spit it out on the table. The chef came to the table didn’t offer an apology of any sort, and ignoring the fact I had been burned and said with near religious fervor the the soup should be served hot, «that’s the way it should be.» I thought to myself, «What vain, arrogant supercilious fool. His license to run a restaurant should be removed» Instead, I bit my scalded tongue, and said politely, «Perhaps it would be good to at least warn people, «Careful the soup is hot.» That kind of thing, He said with his eyes glaring and nostrils flaring with anger«its common sense, you should know.» Unbelievably instead of apologizing and asking for forgiveness, he took offense and said with a snicker that suggested I was about to play Woody Allen in a Thai Boxing movie, with my face kicked in, «You are the first customer who has spit out my food» as if I was dissing him. I said look I am not trying to insult you but I had no choice, either spit it out of go to the hospital. He remained stubborn to the end, He did take it off the bill but no apology, How foolish not to do that. It was then that I decided to write this review. BTW my wife who is Chinese hated her dish, green curry which was a soup with a few small pieces of beef and some awful purple colored Asian eggplant that was half cooked thrown in, And my pork dish looked and tasted like hamburger basted in soap bubbles with a few scant pieces of green pepper The Tom Something Soup beside being a menace to public safety was way too heavy on Vietnamese fish sauce from the bottle. Floating in it were a couple of shrimp and raw pieces of mushroom. This was a really bad experience The Chef had such an investment in being right, and making the customer wrong that he was committing business suicide without even knowing it, Had he simply said the magic words, Im sorry than perhaps a different review may have appeared here. If the chef contacts me and apologizes I will graciously modify this review. Note its been approximately a month since I wrote this review

I have a very specific and picky Thai food palate. This place is near perfect. Ambience is not so great, but the food is heavenly. Strongly recommend it.

Amazing Thai Restaurant. It’s not all fancy and a lot of show but the place is very nice and very clean and the food is just 100% Authentic Thai Food. Everything was delicious and the service was 5 stars. You will definitely enjoy your meal and your time here . I will be back soon !

This is my second revision of this review, mostly because so much has happened since the one mistake they made, and how they made up for it! Hopefully this review is more comprehensive. FOOD: Good! I’ve had appetizers and entrees I’ve liked more or less; I enjoy their pineapple fried rice and pad thai, but am less excited by their larb tofu or their chicken satay. One of the things that keeps me coming back to them is that they offer bubble tea smoothies in a number of flavors, and(if you ask for extra bubbles), as much boba as you’ll find in a bubble tea joint, which is uncommon for delivery, especially in Arlington. CUSTOMERSERVICE: Amazing. Seriously. Probably the best I’ve ever received, to the point where I was almost a little embarrassed about mentioning a mistake. Their assistant, Cody/Bom is pleasant and mostly sticks to solution-focused responses, and their manager, Banditt, is out of this world in terms of customer response. The one time there was a serious mistake, we not only received a refund, but a free meal of our favorites, and /flowers/! I was kind of stunned. WHYNOTFIVESTARS: I like a /good bit/of their food, but there are still hit-and-miss dishes. Additionally, there was /once/— out of 10+ times, to be completely clear — that we found tiny pieces of plastic in my bubble tea smoothie. It read to me as a minor health risk, but a one time mistake. Once the manager found out, he was deeply apologetic; see the Customer Service above. Overall, I’d absolutely order from them again. Mistakes happen, and it’s clear that they want to make good on those rare mistakes.

This place was okay, prices are a bit higher than other surrounding thai places in Arlington and other towns. Would want to try other places. Portions were normal sizes. Very small, would recommend take out.

I was excited to try Thana, since Lady Siam, the restaurant that used to be in this spot, was one of my favorites in the area. But, after trying Thana tonight, I wonder if it will be able to make it long term. First, the good: — My pad thai was tasty. There was a good balance of peanuts, sweetness, and scallions. Nothing overpowering. And, though there wasn’t any chicken(doesn’t pad thai usually have chicken?) it came with three large shrimps that were well cooked and tasty. — I also liked the presentation. I suspect the carrot flower, lime wedge and bean sprouts were partly there to make the serving look bigger, but I appreciated the extra color in the package.(the serving size was appropriate for one person, but smaller than competitors’ in the neighborhood) The bad: — When I went in to pick up my food there was a strong smell of gas in the restaurant. This had been a problem with Lady Siam as well. I strongly suspect there’s a gas leak in the building and I hope they get it checked out. If it’s not a gas leak, maybe the salon next door is causing the odor, but either way, not what you want to smell when you’re eating, and probably not safe for employees. — $ 12 is too much for pad thai at this restaurant in Arlington. Nearby Sweet Chili and Tom Yum Koong both have larger portions for a lower price, and both have more attractive dining areas and cheaper delivery fees. As a side note, I also suspect there’s something funky going on with the Unilocal reviews for this restaurant because there are too many 5-star reviews by people with only one or two reviews in their history. Overall, this restaurant is decent, and I hope they can survive in the space, but to make it worthwhile for me to go back they will need to drop their prices, or find another way to add value beyond what the other thai restaurants in the area offer.

Love this place! I’ve been to Thailand and this food is as authentic. They don’t use MSG and do not overly sweeten their dishes(which I like). The head chef/owner seems to keep innovating the menu. Staff is friendly and food is very good and nicely presented. We’ve also ordered home delivery and the service is fast. Plus we’ve had Thana cater a street-wide block party as well as a 50 person private party in our home this fall and our guests raved about the food. Thanks for coming to our neighborhood Thana!

My friend and I went to this restaurant at lunch and we had a couple plates, beef massaman and kang som pla with shrimp omelette. The beef was tender and the sauce was smooth and tasty. If you like curry, you will love this dish. The sauce and the rice were a perfect match. The kang som pla was tangy with a little spice and tasted very fresh. The presentation was great. I am from Thailand and this is one of the most authentic and enjoyable Thai restaurants in the Boston area. Highly recommend.

So sad. I feel like they weren’t even trying. Chicken satay — $ 7 — very strange texture & color. Why does it come with a slice of cut-up toast? Massamun curry with beef — $ 12 — extremely dry, tough beef. How is this considered stewed? Nope. Aside from the beef, my half-filled take out container also consisted of 2 potatoes, a few huge hunks of onion and oily liquid. No texture. No taste. Nothing good. Brown rice — $ 2.50 — it came as an odd-shaped clump. Is this some type of new sculpting? Did we receive an art piece instead of rice? Cause it kinda looks like a hat. Sad. Tom Yum Noodles — $ 11 — meh. Probably the most edible thing we ordered, but it was just that — edible. Not great and a little excessive fishy odor. Sigh. $ 35 of disappointment. Sorry, Thana. Your location is cursed. Better luck next time.

The kra pow chicken is ok. It does have a sweetness to it though that Im not a huge fan of. The chicken satay is good. The grilled chicken app is a large appetizer portion of marinated chicken served with nam cham cheo. This was the highlight of my meal. The menu and logo designs are cool and the service is great. Right now Id only recommend for take away. The inside décor is sparse and plain.

I can’t judge the overall cuisine here, but they don’t offer great value throughout the menu. I stopped in for a small container of brown rice. The container is the usual sized paper carton you’d expect, but when I got home I noticed that it was only 65% percent or so filled. I called and was told that that amount is their normal portion size for a $ 2.50 order of brown rice. Most restaurants charge $ 1.50 — $ 2.50 for a filled container of brown rice, so this definitely felt like a ripoff.

Ordered delivery from here and it was great — fast and tasty. Also actually«medium» spicy, which is nice, I find that Thai food from most places usually has much less heat than you would expect, but this was good.

Huge hit for me and kids. This is THE best Thai restaurant around here. They used fresh materials and good cook. Materials are just rare to see sometime in the state, but common in Thai. They don’t put too much sugar, anyway this is my best place for Thai taste now. The best of the best.

I’m always on the look out for a good place for Bubble Tea. I was so excited to see Thana Thai Kitchen pop up on Unilocal. The location is tricky as it is on Mass Ave with limited street parking but I managed to find a spot after a few minutes. It’s big enough for dine in and small enough to keep a cozy feel. The bubble tea menu was so extensive I just got my regular honeydew. Flavors included green tea, mango, kiwi, green apple, blueberry, watermelon, among others! The tea was more like a smoothie but it tasted amazing and was ready very quickly. The staff were so kind. I will be back for sure!

I ordered pick up through Eat 24, which was very smooth. I received an accurate pick up time estimate, and arrived to find my order neatly bagged and ready. The restaurant itself was pretty empty, with simple tables and chairs and room for a few small groups. Definitely more of a takeaway joint, but that’s what I was looking for. The food was GREAT. The Pad Kra Prow came with minced chicken — you can choose your protein, I chose chicken, and it came minced, like it is supposed to! 5 stars right there. The crispy spring rolls weren’t too greasy and the entrees were a good size for the price. It’s at a convenient corner of Mass Ave, but the bus stop is right in front which makes it tricky to park. Service with a smile to top it off. Definitely worth a visit!
