I just had my first acai bowl(I chose Warrior Bowl) and it was amazing! I could not believe how delicious it was and it was nice to have a guilt-free breakfast. Having just survived an intense morning workout, it was a nice pick me up to get my Friday off on the right foot. I will definitely be frequenting South Block in the future!

Green Caveman and Warrior Bowls are my top picks. Sooo delicious and they have Stumptown coffee. One of my favorite local spots and they keep opening up more locations!

I stop in here every couple weeks to make a six pack of juice when I’m craving some liquid nourishment. I really enjoy all the juices, but my favorites are the caveman mylk, and more recently the drinks with charcoal in them. The juices are expensive, but I think it’s cheaper than Whole Foods and you get to support a local business. One of these days I’ll sign up for a legit cleanse.

I really like the café and the juice store next door. The people who work there are super friendly and awesome, and the food is delicious– it’s so great, that everybody in Arlington goes, all the time. That means that the tiny café can really only hold 5 – 10 people waiting for their drinks/food at one time, and there’s no in-store eating unless it’s super empty. I love that you can order online and pick up 30 minutes later– easy for a quick workday lunch. Everything is made to order. They’re also super conscious of allergies, so if you prefer not to have something in yours(bluberries in the Acai mix, for me), they will do that for you. I wish I could afford to eat there all the time– the food and smoothies are healthy and so good.

I like the idea behind it, but in my opinion it is just another overpriced place. They don’t make the juice to order, which I am not a fan of at all. I was so excited when I saw juicery but so sad when I went in and only saw little bottles. They sell juice in small bottles for over 7 $. I understand not everyone owns a juicer, but the bottles are tiny for the price. I could make my own juice for 5 $ and have over 30 oz. They also sell other overpriced vegan raw treats. I guess I am over that trend since I know I could make it at home for so much less. I understand the convenience of it though. At least they’re in an area that caters to the demographic. I do love the idea of the kombucha bar and that they have it on tap. I love kombucha and I tried a grapefruit kind which was good. I think I saw that they have a happy hour which is a nice idea.

Glow is my favorite juice. Haven’t explored much else on their menu, but when you find the one you love you know. Happy atmosphere too. Currently the belly check in isn’t working– please fix!

The juices are good here, however their service is not so great! I’ve ordered a 6 pack of juice four different times. The first time I arrived shortly after the store opened to pick it up and it hadn’t arrived yet. Thankfully it came only 10 minutes later so I just waited for it. The second time was fine, but instead of getting it in a nice 6 pack cardboard carrier, they handed me a large box to carry home which just had my juices floating around in it.(This was a LARGE box). Both the 3rd and 4th times they completely forgot to make my order! In both cases the person in the store just got juices that had already been in the store and made me up a 6 pack on the spot. A 6 pack of juice costs $ 55! The reason that I pre-order them is so I can have the freshest possible juices available. I don’t want juice that has been sitting on the shelf for 2 or 3 days. I will not be ordering a 6 pack ever again.

I didn’t try the juices, which sounded yummy(but are expensive!!) but they have Kombucha on draft and the Kombucha was fabulous! The girl behind the counter was super nice and given that I’ve only ever had Kombucha once before(it hasn’t quite hit the scene where I live in Georgia) let me sample all 3 varieties. It’s normally $ 5 for a pint– which isn’t that bad– but during their happy hour from 3−5pm on weekdays it’s only $ 3. The double ginger(black tea) was my favorite. Although the green tea one and their cherry blossom one were good too– just a lot lighter. And I believe you can do half and half Kombucha and juices too. Anyway– all varietals of the Kombucha were local too which is great!

I love South Block Café their counterpart, been there many times and have gotten wraps, bowls and smoothies. Ever since South Block Juice Co has opened, i have double the reason to come back. Their organic, raw and fresh juices are absolutely amazing! One of a kind! I’ve never been to a place like this and yet to find something better. The staff is super cool and very friendly. The quality and the variety is unmatched. I recently had some fresh wheatgrass shots made from scratch, it’s so delicious, natural and packed with benefits. It took them a little bit longer than expected to make it but worth the wait. If I’m in Clarendon for any reason, i make sure to stop by here to give my body the good stuff it derserves! They even have pre-made fresh juices in the cooler. I want to try them all. I try to get different juices everytime i come here. I try to come to South Block at least once a week, I’ll be back for more healthy meals and juices.

I am very pro cold-pressed juice, I love the stuff, and anything local gets my attention. Their menu looks interesting, with a number of different juices that appeal to me. On the particular occasion I came to their store the fridge was not that well stocked, but it was around 2pm on a Saturday, so it could have just been my timing. In any event, I bought the Dino-mite and the Cure. The cure tasted too much like carrot and pineapple juice. I could not taste any kick from the ginger, turmeric or cayenne, which is the reason I bought this particular juice. The dino-mite juice was tasty, but the ratio of fruit to veggie was a little off for me, it was far too sweet. Both juices were very tasty, but the ratio of ingredients(to my tasting) was just off. I would be interested in trying some of their other juice, but for the price, I think there are better cold press juices around,(including those which are similar in price but come in a glass bottle as oppose to plastic). I did however buy their caveman balls, which were soooo delicious. They tasted like vanilla ice cream. I would return to south block just for those.

I am reviewing the juice bar separately from the café since there are 2 different transactions and 2 different buildings. And I also feel differently about each place. They have an assortment of different pre-made juices available in a cooler, as well as wheatgrass shots, and kombucha flights. I have never seen a juice bar like this before, it’s pretty amazing. The juices they have are all very interesting and creative. I chose the detox one, I believe, which had cilantro, jalepeno, wheatgrass, lime, kale, and some other business but it was delicious. I’m very impressed with all of their juices, actually, and this would be a place I would frequent for my specialty juice needs, for sure. I also think the ladies working there are great and passionate about what they do. They all have so much knowledge about the properties in the juices and seem dedicated to informing people about a better way of life. What I am not crazy about is the time it took for 2 wheatgrass shots. From the time I walked in until the time I left, it was about 22 minutes. You can go to Robek’s and get a couple wheatgrass shots in under 5 minutes. I understand everything is being made from scratch but this area needs serious improvement, especially in the hustle and bustle of Clarendon. But I do find value in this place and will definltley make a point of returning to try out some different juices.

South Block Juice Company is my kind of place… there is a «wholelotta» luv in what they do! For the Arlington/Clarendon area, this is one of my go to spots for a quick juice ‘pick me up’ when on the go. This place is also my back up plan for some mornings when I am running late… which is often… and don’t have time to whip up a quick juice blend at home; to start the morning. South Block Juice Company is a… micro-juicery that process the ready made justice in small batches. Organic, Raw, and 100% Legit… is their claim and it is the truth! My experiences with their juices are that they are always fresh and taste great. All juices prepared are made in small batches which makes a huge difference in maintaining the key nutrients, freshness, and taste of their juice products. In addition to juices, they also serve some of the best smoothies. A few of my favorites and honorable mentions are: * The Caveman Bowl — A blended meal of: organic acai, caveman milk(house-made cashew milk) and bananas. Toppings: handmade granola, and dates. This bowl will make you feel good on the inside and is really good. * PBJ Smoothie — Organic acai, raw agave, peanut butter, bananas, blueberries, and almond milk. Very tasty; without the carb guilt. Last, South Block Juice Co. Top 5 Things to Know: 1. Great selection of juices, I wanted to try the whole menu after reading it, took me a while to decide. See the pic or visit the website. 2. Finally landed on the Green Juice, it was great with a non-sweet sweet taste and kick! It’s in the fridge to your left. 3. They offer up Gift Cards to share their gift of health with a friend or love one. Also, Belly points per visit… which add up quickly. 4. They are powered by 100% renewable energy! Get a $ 25 gift certificate from South Block when you choose clean energy through Arcadia Power as your ultility provider. 5. Ask about their 3 day juice cleanse program! They provide a custom juice cleanse to get you ALL squeaky clean on the inside… outside too, when you think about it!: =)

I actually walked in here by mistake looking for the café part of the business. Trevor explained the layout and offered to put my order in for me to pick up on the café side(two doors down). While I was there he gave me some info about their brand of cold pressed juices and offered a few samples(very good!). I ended up getting a bottle of the naturally carbonated acai that was on tap. They had a kombucha on tap that was also very good. Seems like a great place. I’m looking to go back and trying out a juice cleanse in the future
