The ever changing menu of the day is a delightful surprise every time you visit. Everything there is homemade and you can tell for sure! The price is not set though there is a guide to help estimate, and over estimating is always advised as this is not your everyday food, it is above and beyond that. They give small portions of each item chosen as to not waste and I respect that, the food is too good to waste. It is a somewhat small place but with big things to offer.

We absolutely love this place! They used locally sourced ingredients and the menu changes daily depending on what’s fresh. Best of all the food is delicious, it’s like going to a friend’s house who’s been cooking for you all day, and that friend can really cook! If you have gluten sensitivities or other special dietary needs they can easily accommodate you. Don’t miss this place!

The freshest, quality food I’ve yet to find! Don’t be fooled by the exterior, the warm atmosphere and friendly staff, plus amazing food you can’t find anywhere else– makes this place one of kind. Food is always well seasoned and never salty. Made the same day so you’ll know it’s fresh. I recommend coming early and trying everything if you’re not the picky eater.

Wonderful cozy 10 table natural food and coffee oasis. Stopped in on a Saturday to a wonderful selection of egg, bean, lentil, crepes,& baked fresh toast with real maple syrup. The latter of which should come with some form of ‘habit forming’ label. I have found my home on the road.(From South Dakota). Topped everything off with a fresh ground french press, organic cream & sugar and enjoyed my lazy Saturday morning in quiet bliss amongst the friendly staff and clientel. This is a place that accentuates the quality of living rather than detracting from it like every chain typically does. Great place for us natural foodies and coffee lovers.

Fantastic. We found this place here on Unilocal. We met in Arlington from Hawaii, Florida and California to surprise a family member. We are part vegetarian, part not. This place has something for everyone and doesn’t disappoint. We told the chef whether or not we wanted meat and said«surprise us.» We finished every bite on our plate. We LOVED the local, organic, humane and non-wasteful philosophy. It didn’t seem like the table next to us paid for their meal which made us uncomfortable, being former/current food and beverage service industry employees… so we left extra. Because that is just what you do. Karma. The chef was kind, generous and gracious and the waitress is cute :)

It’s definitely time to write an updated review on Potager, a place I fall more in love with during each visit. This may not apply to everyone(especially if you/your significant other/your mom/whoever feeds you at home is not a good cook), but I so love a home cooked meal. I love family dinners. I love when my boyfriend and I just cook for ourselves. This sounds kind of dramatic, but seeing your ingredients transform into a meal, knowing exactly where the food came from, and enjoying it in good company add up to the perfect food experience! I like to feel at home. Potager and their amazing food make me feel at home, and I never get tired of that. Just so you know, Potager features a rotating menu of whatever they found fresh that week from their local suppliers. You come in, BYOB, see what’s to eat on their blackboard, and ask for whatever you please. Try a little of everything and feel free to come back for seconds. Potager tries to avoid wasting their high-quality food, so don’t expect huge portions. But seriously, if you want more soup or bread or what-not, just ask. Cash or check only and no set prices. Pay what you think the food and experience is worth! I took my mom and brother with me to this unique restaurant today. They were instant fans. Mismatched tables, chairs, plates, and silverware; a small, warm, and cozy atmosphere; a variation of wine glasses to pour our ciders into… and a menu of delicious food awaiting us. Yes please. And then we ate and loved every dish and chatted with the chef! What did I have for lunch today? Hot, velvety, butternut squash soup; green salad with dried cranberries, almonds, and an amazing vinaigrette; beautifully roasted carrots and radishes; and some wonderful, buttery, potato-ham casserole. Everything was perfectly cooked, earthy, and fresh. Just wonderful food that’s made right there in front of you. There was also a spinach and Havarti quiche, freshly baked french bread, and an apple cobbler(made with apples from the chef’s father’s farm!) — but being GF, I had to avoid them unfortunately. The chef today was incredibly nice(as is all the staff/cooks here; there are probably 4 – 5 total), so don’t hesitate to ask questions about the food, the method of payment, suggested prices, where they get their produce, or anything else. They’re happy to talk about it. Anyway, I could go on and on. Please, please support local businesses like Potager who really care about the well being of their community. They show it by only serving the freshest food from local farms. You won’t regret it!
