Wow, this place is high rated and well deserving of their rating. The food was great, menu is huge with something for everyone. There is plenty of seating and the service from or waitress Denise was outstanding. Other servers checked on us during our meal. Best breakfast experience i have had in a while.

We came in on a Saturday morning with family and friends. We got in superquick, and our waitress(Diana) was terrific! This is an old school diner with tons of character. We ordered a chili cheese omelette, corned beef hash, chorizo plate, as well as a few traditional breakfasts, we had a big party. No problem for these pros! I can’t think of a single negative thing to say. It was just what we were looking for. We will be back next time we’re in Arlington, no doubt! Big portions, eggs cooked as per order, coffee good and hot!

The value offered is understated in these photos and reviews. This is a small diner that still sells pies in a glass case. The prices are a little below an Ihop breakfast but the portions are at least double. We ordered omelets and it seemed like at least 6 eggs were used to make one omelet(maybe not exactly 6). Mine came with fajita chicken and salsa. It could use salt but most people would prefer to add their own salt or salsa to get the desired saltiness. I also ordered hot tea which came with Louisiana Community tea packets already brewing in my own little kettle. Aside from the price and the portion, the people who served us were great. That restaurant was PACKED! it was the kind of packed that you’d see and immediately walk away from but we stayed. We were seated quickly and waited on as though there were only 4 other people in the place. I’d definitely go back. Note: Breakfast is served all day. You pay for your meal on the way out.

Came in today with about 10 people. The service was great and the food was even better. We were all from out of town and appreciate good food and service.

Went to eat on a busy Sunday morning and both my boyfriend and I LOVEDIT! We thought we wouldn’t get seated for a while due to the church crowd coming in, but we were seated within 5 minutes! Brandy was our waitress and she was amazing! Very straight to the point and got things done quickly! I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy, with a side of the turkey bacon(so good)! My boyfriend had to ribeye and he said it was very great! We will be back!

Quick breakfast before the ATT stadium Tour. Food and service was excellent(Huevos rancheros, yum!). Would have given 5 stars, but the coffee isn’t great.

This meal was exactly what I wanted out of a Texas diner for breakfast. The staff were super friendly, service was fast, the breakfast burrito #1 was delicious and the portions were big(but not ludicrous).

I had the chorizo and egg breakfast with hash browns while my friend enjoyed the #2 breakfast burrito. The coffee was served hot and ready. Service was accomodating and friendly. Overall, this was a satisfactory experience, and I expect to return soon. When you pay for your meal at the register, you can pick up slices of sugar-free pie. There are many kinds to choose from.

Pioneer Restaurant is located in a kind of out-of-the-way location in Arlington, near Grand Prairie. I wanted to try a new place for breakfast, and this restaurant was highly rated and lots of pics of empty plates! I’ve gone probably 3 or 4 times now, and my favorite breakfast item is Migas — so I have ordered that every time. It’s so good! I also wanted to try their biscuits & gravy(another way I rate a breakfast spot) and they were delicious! They have the standard breakfast fare of breakfast egg plates, steak & eggs, a south-of-the-border section with Migas and a couple of tempting breakfast burritos. The coffee is not good. just regular old weak diner coffee. But that’s fairly typical at this kind of place. I’ve gotten decent service every time I’ve gone, so they definitely have consistency. We always go to breakfast early — I’m not interested in standing around waiting for a table when I’m hangry in the morning. :) Never had a problem with getting seated or with bad service when it gets busier as the morning goes on. It’s such a good place, kind of a staple if you can’t think of somewhere new to try. You know the food will be tasty and the service will be good!

Glad my friend decided to take me here. The food was right on point. I had the French toast with eggs and chicken apple sausage. The grits were a lil too thick for my liking but everything was good. And the server was awesome.

NOW I see why there were photo’s of empty plates! Ordered the french toast meal which comes with eggs and bacon; the 2 or 3 egg omelet with broccoli, ham, and swiss cheese with a Belgium waffle; and a kids meal plate of dollar pancakes with bacon. Add that with drinks… $ 35. That’s not bad… NOTBADATALL! The restaurant was packed with customers and the wait staff was still prompt, polite, friendly and helpful.

If you want that diner feel, a place where repeat customers are remembered and respected, then you want to go to Pioneer Restaurant off Division and 109th. The food is amazing good. And the service is quick, personalized, and friendly. This experience will be worth your time. Enjoy!

I’ve been here about 20 times, I’m so surprised that I’ve never written a review. This is just a high quality diner. It beats Denny’s and IHOP hands down at providing good, home made food with a smile. My wife always loves the liver and onions and I’m glad that she can get it somewhere that I don’t have to cook it. I tend to stick to the simple stuff like roasted turkey and fried things and I’m always happy. Skip the shrimp lunch though, its popcorn shirmp which I felt was a little misleading given the fact that we’re in texas. Easy, simple parking — does get a little busy around noon.

I had the chicken fried chicken and the sides I picked were mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. The chicken was well seasoned and very lightly fried. Mac n cheese had an eerie neon orange glow but tasted awesome. Gravy was great too. I’m not a fan of Arlington and I consider it the armpit of the metroplex but this diner is awesome and I won’t fault it for that. This place is similar to Momma’s Daughter’s Diner but arguably even better.

Trying a new breakfast place. Bill ordered pancakes. I ordered French toast, eggs, bacon and hash browns with onion. Service was excellent. Coffee kept filled. Food was excellent and plentiful. Too plentiful! I left half of it! better for my girlish figure! Highly recommend for country cooking!
