Par Hair Design

My mom and I have been going to Mrs. Par for over 10 years and she does a phenomenal job! Mrs. Par is just so nice and very accommodating. She is an expert at hair dye, highlights, hair cuts; and the results are always glamorous. We think the world of her and would highly recommend Par Hair Design!

Par is a terrific stylist and colorist. I was very pleased with my first appointment and will definitely be back. I highly recommend her. While she takes «walk-​ins» at least from my brief observation, appointments are better, as she has a lot of clients and you might not get in when you want to.
I have naturally curly hair that she blew out very well and straight. Her color technique is excellent and she only trimmed my hair — some stylists want to take off too much. She didn’t.

I went there to get a basic hair cut and I was a bit disappointed.
The Pro’s:
*Par is a very nice woman who was very accommodating even though I was running 10 minutes late.
*She seems to care very much about her clients experience and satisfaction
*When her next appointment showed up early, she assumed responsibility and apologized profusely to her client even though I know I partially contributed to her running late.
The Con’s:
*When she discovered I found her through Unilocal and Angie’s list, she went on a 10 minute plus tirade about a previous client that gave her a very negative review. I understood and was sympathetic, but she really went on about it way too long. Plus, I was already running late for my appointment, I didn’t think it was a very good judgement to take another 10 minutes out to talk about it, especially since she had another appointment right after me.
I wish she would have realized that since I was there, I wasn’t concerned with one negative review and I didn’t give much weight to it. I tried to calmly tell her a few times that some people will always find something to complain about, but that did not calm her down.
*My hair was very long and even though I asked for the cut to be all one length (I was finally at the point of growing all my layers out!) I discovered to my dismay that she accidentally cut a front portion of my hair about 1 – 2 inches shorter than the rest. She blamed it on my last cut, but I know for a fact that none of my layers were that short. I would have respected her more if she would have just admitted to making the mistake, it happens to everyone!
One more Pro AND Con is that when it came time to pay, she attempted to charge me a bit more than I was quoted. When I brought that to her attention she offered to give me the price that I was originally quoted and mentioned that she forgot to include the price of a wash in the quote.
Overall Par was a really sweet and nice lady but I’m not sure that I would go back.

Par when you first meet her and you let her do your hair it good. When you come back and you see her for couple of times then she is very rude and makes wait and wait. I even saw her treat the shampoo girl so mean i would never go there again.

I have been going to Par for the last 10 years. She has always given me the most beautiful highlights and haircuts. I would not trust my hair to anybody else. Par is extremely accommodating and her expertise in coloring brings people from all over. Her joy and good spirit radiate throughout the shop and make it a pleasure to go there to get your hair done. At Par Hair Design, you will get the best job, with quality products at extremely reasonable prices. I highly recommend her! Once you see Par, you will be hers for life!

Par makes her standing clients feel very special. She does accommodate us and we also accommodate her and her other clients.

Update: I decided to try her again and got an appointment one night at 7. I have to go later in the day because of my toddler. Anyway, I showed up and Par was working on someone. She had mistakenly put me down for 7:30 and told me to come back. I, obviously, did not. Although she was apologetic and nice about it, I was annoyed to have to make another trip.

Par is very nice and accomodating to everyone. Why should she take NEW clients who only want late night appointments. Go during normal business hours to get to know her then she might work with you late night! Par is fabulous, very personable, friendly… Love her!
