This place is basically a smaller more«upscale» aka expensive Hallmark store. They have some decent cards but expect to pay top dollar here. I’m not exactly their target audience but I’ll meander in here every once in a great while with my wife to buy a card. Don’t get me wrong, nice cards here but nothing to draw me here instead of just going to Hallmark or CVS.

Went to this store to order custom printed stationary. They were having a 25% off sale and as I recently moved thought I’d take advantage of it. I was very surprised to learn that they will NOT allow you to order custom stationary unless you have an appointment. There was no one else in the store and 2 employees. The employee manning the desk said, let me get my colleague, he has more experience with custom orders. The supposedly experienced employee said«do you have an appointment?» Upon hearing no he basically told me he would not help me. Is it so hard to fill out a form for custom orders? Why offer the service if you’re not willing to do it? Needless to say they will not be getting my business. I can easily order on-line form someone else, Or go to a place that actually wants business. I gave 2 stars simply because the first employee was nice and tried to help me. Otherwise no stars were warranted.

Nice selection of greeting cards and high end writing materials, including blank notebooks. Several good small gift ideas. Friendly, helpful staff.

I had a amazing experience — went in to get several gifts wrapped — Jay and Oleg(sp?) did such a fabulous job. They were extremely professional, courteous, timely, and polite. I will absolutely be back! There are no other places that will gift wrap items that weren’t purchased at their store. The cost is little($ 6 per item) and the gifts looked excellent — thanks again Jay and Oleg!!!

Mother’s Day is fast approaching and I needed to get a card for Mom. Mom is so old school, she doesn’t even have an email address. So, she loves a good card. I was in Pentagon City, so I stopped in at Papyrus to find something for her. The Papyrus store isn’t nearly as big as your typical card store, but it has appealing, high-end cards that capture the spirit of the Hallmark holiday du jour. The downside? The cards at Papyrus are frickin’ pricey for a sheet of card stock paper, but in its defense they were a bit more elaborate, on average, than a card you could find at the grocery store. Adding to the sticker shock, most of the cards are too heavy to be sent with standard first class postage. Oh well. Mom does deserve the best or at least a card. I found something that my mom will like. Mission accomplished.

Pretty good service, although slightly expensive. Had a gift wrapped here and I probably would’ve been more satisfied had I not paid the $ 6 for them to wrap it for me… it wasn’t a very good job and didn’t save me very much time. And I had to pay for the wrapping paper because the stuff they had wasn’t big enough. I must say the gift/card/wrapping selection in Papyrus is really nice, though, and the staff was friendly and pretty on top of it.
