They don’t want your business. No reservations on weekends for a larger party. The staff don’t know the rules when you call them. Very disappointing interaction when trying to plan my husband’s birthday party.

They used to have really good crab cakes but here lately I noticed they changed the recipe. They used to be served in a nice sauce with crawfish, it has been replaced with a slice of avacado AND they are much smaller. ODDLY the price didn’t change but a reduction in the crab cakes themselves did

We came in with a party of eight. Hosts said it’ll be 40mins, so we pulled some tables together on the patio, which is considered open bar seating. We were served well by our server, who accommodated us perfectly. Those two aspects of the meal were what earns the two stars. The food here is just not that good. All of us either tried one of the gumbos or a side salad with our entrees. The gumbo was watery. Three of us ordered the top priced seafood special, the Alaskan Halibut, all the portions were different sizes and the flavor and cooking technique was just not worth the price point. A few leafs of a brussel sprout, potted lump crabmeat, macadamia nuts(?) and soy sauce. It was a nice dish, but it disappointed everyone who had it. One of us ordered a small fried plate of crawfish. This was the lowest priced meal at $ 15.99, it consisted of fried frozen crawfish and fried frozen french fries.(it looks like something you’d find at Popeye’s for $ 4.99). If you are not paying for well-prepared, high-quality ingredients than what are you paying for? I live in a neighborhood filled with great restaurants which are not chains, I highly recommend to anyone reading this to avoid eating out at chain restaurant like this, because for the same prices you could be eating at some Dallas’ finest restaurants.

Décor: 4⁄5 –limited parking space in the front, huge parking space in the back. There have been times where both lots were full –Entering from the back, I felt like I was walking through a theme park Service: 4⁄5 –very busy restaurant so expect a wait on food, I recommend appetizer or two so you don’t go hangry Food: 4⁄5 –I went with the Caribbean Lobster tail over the Maine Lobster due to cost. I can’t compare to the Maine Lobster however the Caribbean Lobster was great, even better with butter. The mashed potato side was also yummy. –The amount of food you get here is generous. You also pay for it. I believe the most budget friendly dinner entrée started at $ 21.95

I love coming here with the great outside feel. The way they have designed the restaurant you feel as though you are in a jungle or a high class swamp. The food is always solid and whenever I need my crawfish fix this is the only place I go. We started with raw oysters and the crawfish bisque. The oysters were so fresh and delicious. The bisque is creamy, has plenty of crawfish, and some spice to make you remember you are in a Cajun kitchen. My go to is always the crawfish po-boy. There is an overabundance of lightly fried and spicy crawfish that I end up taking half home for lunch the next day. It is just as good cold. The crème brulee is a great finish if you have any room left. It is creamy and has a perfect crispy top crust. I know it is a chain restaurant, but I have never been disappointed with their food and will keep coming back.

Really nice restaurant here. Generous portions too. Pricey like most seafood places. The ambiance is nice. Great place for a drink too.

Great service. Friendly staff, very helpful in deciding what to order, since this was our first time at this restaurant. I have never had cajun or creole before tonight… I learned it is not my style. I am not into a lot of seasonings and sauces covering my food. The fish I ordered was supposed to be cooked medium rare, it seemed more medium to me… not as tender as a medium rare piece of fish should be. I do think this place is not a two dollar sign place. I would easily say three or four dollar signs. The cheapest entrée for dinner was $ 19.95 with prices going near $ 50(I am not sure how much the Lobster was).

As always the Pros– Style and cleanliness were excellent. Seated very fast. Waitress came quickly and introduced herself. Waitress explained the menu and top dishes. I ordered appetizers/oysters really good. Ordered meals, the food was amazing. The Cons: Seated near the kitchen, dishes on trays were flying over my head for the remaining hours. All the customers had trays gliding over their heads. Oysters came to our table eventually and tasted great. The empty oyster plate. I had to ask a roaming bus boy to please take the oyster plate-He let me know the waitress should take the plate. I let him know she’s busy“please remove it”. The noise level/Including the servers was horribly loud. Servers were running around like-I would say ants but ants work together. They were running around like ping pong balls-not knowing which way to walk. There is no organization or structure and appears to have little management lead. The amount of staff was sufficient, so why all the disorganization-I believe training fell short. I’m not sure why another waiter brought our food which took forever to get to our table. My thinking, the plates stayed in the back so long a server just brought them. Bottom line go for the food, excellent meal, this restaurant has a Denny’s feel nothing upscale except the price. But so good.

If you decide to put hot tea on your menu, please consider having honey. If you decide to bring out a variety box of teas out, please have more than 2 choices and try to keep the box full. Maybe it was just a bad day for them, but almost everything went wrong this time. I don’t even know where to start…

Very good food and fair service. Small dining tables didn’t leave much room to stretch your legs. Servers/bussers removed dishes promptly so things would fit. Pricey…

Very bad service or policies. I’m 8 months pregnant, came to lunch early at 11:10a with my parents, and brought a special drink(which isn’t on the menu). Unfortunately the hostess wouldn’t let me bring it in, citing a special policy. Our server Nathan was very nice though and it was otherwise the usual Pappadeaux experience.

Can’t wait to go back for dinner! Never got past the appetizer menu. We ordered three different ones that were amazing. Got full on them so looking forward to a return visit and this time I won’t look at the appetizers! Very romantic setting. Service from the minute you walk in. Really well established establishment!

My third time to this place and it did not disappoint. The food and service was great. Our server Ayofemi was super attentive. I ordered the Salmon Alexander and it was the best dish I had there. The sauce with crawfish, shrimp, scallops and salmon was amazing. At the table we also order the Pasta Mardi Gras and that was another amazing dish. The pasta with sausage and shrimp was very good. We always order the Greek salad which is also very good. We can’t wait to come back.

This is my 3rd visit here and my star rating is solely based on customer service. Their costumer service team(waiters, hostesses and bussers) do an outstanding job. Unfortunately, the lack of stars are for the mediocre food. The average dish is $ 18-$ 24 and a majority of their dishes are fried. The ticket times are horrible and the food is bland(not upscale Cajun style seafood that I expect). After several visits, unfortunately, their personable waitstaff can’t keep me paying their high prices for bland food.

The Chilean Seabass was about $ 38 at the time of this review, and the fish itself is cooked perfectly but not worth it. I’ll just come out and say it. Pappadeaux is good, the service is on point and the drinks are of decent pour. The bartender and server attitude really makes you feel comfortable here, which is important all around but especially to a lone business traveler. The jumbo shrimp cocktail appetizer was good and both appetizers and drinks of this(upper quality chain restaurant) caliber are priced right. However, I simply couldn’t taste the quality in the $ 38 Chilean Seabass. The fish itself was cooked perfectly, though it ultimately lacked both natural seabass flavor and even lacked spice. The dish is served with no side, only a bed of spinach. Everything is sautéed in butter, cheese, and I believe also pinenuts, but also white onion that hadn’t been sauteed long enough and was still crunchy… leading to an overpowering blast of onion which ruined the delicate flavor of a good piece of fish. Long story short, I like this place and will be back. I recommend you come for the apps and drinks and normal priced entrees, but I’d think twice with anything over $ 28. To me, the bang for the buck stops there.

Every things bigger in Texas and this place defines the saying. Huge portions, fresh seafood and amazing service! It was so good my co-worker and I went to Pappa’s 2⁄4 days we were in Texas. I know its a chain restaurant, and I try to hit up local eats when in different cities, but this place was so darn good! I ordered the Halibut on one occasion and the seafood pasta — cajun style one night. Both were so delish and HUGE! My co-worker and I had to share on the last night and we still couldn’t finish off one serving. I cannot wait to go back to Texas just so I can go back here and indulge!

If you are craving seafood this place will not disappoint. First off, if you can’t park in the very front of the building you will more than likely end up parking behind the restaurant and making the long trek from the parking lot, around the side of the restaurant, and finally into the front doors(its a decent walk). As long as the walk feels, it is filled with beautiful landscape and walking thru the outside patio always tempts me to dine outdoors. The dining room inside is massive. You are met by friendly staff and the obligatory small aquarium filled with crustaceans I will be consuming shortly. The waiters always seem very efficient especially because the restaurant is usually packed. The white cloth on the table and the dim lighting gives Pappadeaux an extremely intimate feeling. However, I also like that you can go in there in shorts and a t-shirt and not feel out of place. My wife is a huge fan of the cheese fondue plate — basically just a massive plate of melted cheese with some garlic toast to dip it in. Every time I go I will get the fried alligator appetizer with a side of fries. The alligator dipped in ranch is close to heavenly. I have never actually sat at the bar but it looks very nice with a good amount of flat screens around to watch any game you need. Maybe next time I go I will try it out!

First of all, the food was good. However, good food NEVER makes up for poor service. Our waiter was nice, but the table behind us got nearly all of his attention for the entire time we were there. He spent most of that time talking it up with this couple, going on and on about how he would take care of them, etc. All the while, he forgot things we asked for, until AFTER we had finished eating… He left our glasses empty for most of the meal, and then took forever to bring us the bill. I even heard him tell the guy behind us that he would come back to chat some more, but that he should probably go turn in another table’s order… then he would be back. Wow… Now, when I’m going to dinner at a nice place like this, I EXPECT a certain level of service. Treating us like 2nd class citizens because we didn’t order alcohol, or a list of menu items is not okay. Too bad, as the Pappadeaux experience in other places has not been like this.

Delicious & beautiful! I know I can expect«goodness» whenever I am headed to a Pappas Brothers location. This family owned restaurant group has endured the test of time and is still delivering exemplary experiences after 30+ years. Pappadeaux Arlington was my destination this day for a bit of pre-funk before the Cowboys game. Venue This is a newer location and is conceptually consistent with other locations but with the added crispness that accompanies a new venue. Attention to detail all the way down to the bathroom experience is carefully considered with the customer experience at the center. Food This afternoon I had the Lump Crap & Spinach Dip($ 15) and a cup of the Andouille Sausage & Seafood Gumbo($ 8). Oh, and a MicUltra. The dip was a sinful combination of cream, spinach, spices and ample dosage of succulent lump crab meat. The accompanying bread was just the right amount of butter and garlic. The gumbo was well prepared and was a good complement to offset the richness of the dip. Service All the servers look sharp and are in uniform. Service was pretty much perfect. My server was attentive, knowledgeable, and conversational despite her full section. Summary Yum! Like seafood with a creole flare? Hit this place up. You won’t be sorry.
