There were some noodles I wanted to get that was 99cents for the longest time which I buy all of the times. I wanted to buy a case and asked them if they had any. They took a very long time(15+ minutes) to find me a case. I asked how many packs are in that case, they said 30 and then they proceed to charge me $ 30.95. Wait! Individually was 99cents each and you’re charging me additional $ 1.25 for case of 30? Owner woman said it was the wrong price. I went to show her where I got the package and clearly the tag said 99cents. But she kept saying it’s the wrong price even tho it rung up 99cents for as long as I can remember. She then told the lady in the little office to change the price to $ 1.39 each and wouldn’t sell me at the price of $ 30.95 originally rung up. She said it would be $ 41.70 for the case. Well, I’ve shopped here all of the times because they have good price. Not anymore. That was outrageous 40% increase on a bag of noodles.

This was a hard one to rate, I’d rather give it 2.5. For local asian markets this place is pretty small, and everything is pretty crammed. In spite of this they did carry some items that I could not find at a few other asian markets just prior to going there(I was on a hunt for fresh galangal and kaffir lime leaves). Unfortunately they were out of stock. The lady was real confusing when i inquired about it but was less than helpful. I’m used to asian market employees to not understand me but usually I get at least an attempt to be understood or a fake look of comprehension. I won’t elaborate, but I ended up waiting while I felt intentionally ignored. Long story short, I left and found both my items at a different place and made a Thom Kha Gai that evening that rocked so hard. You’re jealous.
