gluten free!!! and so so good! I love the gluten free pizza and chicken fingers from this place! Honestly the best and still super yummy the next day warmed in the oven. They also have some gluten free desserts but I haven’t tried them yet. There is either a manager or owner who always seems to be lost and not very helpful other to make small talk. There is a worker there quite often who makes the pizza and works the front desk at the same time. He is great. Overall this is a really great place and nice staff when I’ve been there.

My pizza was very good, though pretty expensive($ 19 for a large«meat lovers», they call it the Four Corners). I really like the standard crust: thin, very soft, not at all tough like a lot of other thinner crust pizzas in the area after a few minutes out of the oven(Whole Foods, Pete’s Apizza).

Great service, very friendly staff and I like that all ingredients are non-GMO, no additives or preservatives. Pizza could have been in the oven a little longer but that’s just personal preference.

Just ordered delivery from here and it’s terrible. The dough had a weird putty taste, sauce tasted like it sat under a heat lamp, roni the same, all dried out. Annnnnd the delivery took over an hour.

Found a piece of metal in my pizza last week. It hit me right in the roof of my mouth. Absolutely disgusting! When I told the manager, he said«well, I don’t know how a piece of metal could end up in your pizza but if you say so». He thought that all I wanted was a free pizza. So when he offered a free pizza I said that I wouldn’t eat a pizza from this place again, that’s when the manager started to believe me. I have a picture of the piece of metal. The pizza is not good anyway. But above all, it’s unsanitary. This is a follow up: Patrick, the chief marketing officer, followed up with me and he said he conducted a thorough review and he invited me back to try NKD pizza again. I appreciate his diligence and customer service. So I will give NKD a try again!

Different but great! Fresh ingredients and about as healthy as a pizza can be. Two large pizzas and a drink only cost me 25 dollars excluding the tip. I definitely recommend this place.

Go here for the natural ingredients, stay for the excellent quality. NKD Pizza(formerly«Naked Pizza») is a pizza joint focusing on fresh ingredients and whole-grain crust. As such, this is a hair different than the usual pizza places — whereas lots of places in DC are quantity over quality, NKD is more quality over quantity. As you may expect, prices are a hair higher than the competition. The dough here is world-changing. The whole-grain flour is just perfect — it’s hearty and substantial, unlike the cardboard-eque stuff usually found in cheaper places. It’s apparently 10-grain and probiotic, but who cares — it tastes good. I’d take this dough over dough found at cheaper joints any day. Needless to say, thanks to the excellent dough, the pizza and breadsticks here are amazing. The cheese is insanely stretchy and fresh-tasting, and the sauce is perfectly mixed without being overwhelming. Nothing tastes dull or fake. It’s just great. If you can stomach the price, the pizza here is great, and I’d highly recommend it.

I’ve liked this place since it was Naked Pizza, but was skeptical last month when it seemed to change identity over night. I had gone to the Pentagon City location and was disappointed to get home and find my pizza cold and incorrect. Thought it was maybe a signal of their downward slope. Returned to my regular location tonight(Ballston) and am finding it just as good as always. The caprese salad is fresh and delicious and the cheesy bread is soft and yummy. I appreciate that they ask in advance if you want garlic on the bread. The customer service at the Ballston location has always been friendly and accommodating; for whatever reason the Pentagon City staff seemed less together. I’ll definitely continue to be a regular at the Ballston store.

Maybe this one star is because I moved from New York and I have high standards or their pizza is not good and overpriced. I just feel like I may be betraying my past life in New York if I give their pizza any higher than a star. The establishment looks good but I am strictly basing this rate off their pizza since I have given them two chances and that’s only fair. I expect the pizza to be cheesier and more loaded if I’m paying their prices and simply the ingredients and the amount they put in the pizza was just not the right balance. It might still be for you but just wasn’t for me.

The new NKD pizza is top notch. Ingredients are super fresh and they cook it to perfection. Excited that they’re open pretty late now for late dinners. Service is spotty at times but not really an issue if you are picking up an order or getting delivery.

The pizza is OK. Customer service… not so much. The first time I visited was for the free pizza promotion during their re-branding. It was later in the evening when I arrived and was told by a very nice man that they had to shut down the free pizzas because the demand was more than they expected. Cool. I can definitely understand that. Who wouldn’t want free pizza! And in return I was given two coupons for a 10 inch pizza on future visits. Nice! Thanks! The second time I visited I went in to use one of my free pizza coupons. Yay free pizza. This time a different guy was behind the counter. No smile, blah greeting. He did explain that I could get any pizza as a 10 inch. Awesome. Gave him my coupon and also bought a soda. Pretty normal experience so far. Then my pizza was ready. Most restaurants/servers/people will hand your food to you. Or politely sit it on the table if your hands are unavailable. I was right there in front of the guy but my pizza was thrown onto the counter even with my hand out to receive it. Ok, maybe not thrown. It was tossed onto the counter rudely as I was holding my hand out to receive it. Maybe someone was having a bad day. Not sure if I’ll return. You don’t toss food to people.

What better way to celebrate Pi Day than with a free 10″ pizza from Nkd Pizza! They also celebrated changing their name by dropping the vowels from«Naked.» The space was clean and simple. They had a couple small tables for eating in and two side counters with extra plates, red pepper flakes, napkins, etc. They offer signature pizzas, build your own, some salads, and a few standard pizza sides(such as wings and breadsticks). I got the 10″ Four Corners pizza, essentially a meat pizza(pepperoni, sausage, hamburger, Canadian bacon). It’s also garnished with parsley to brighten this meat-lovers pie. My pizza came in a box hand-signed by the pizza maker(pictured): «made with love by Wilmer» — thanks Wilmer! I loved the personal touch. I have to say, when I opened the box, it was the most perfectly round pizza I had ever seen. Maybe because it was Pi Day, their math was on point and they were producing perfect circles! Or, maybe(and perhaps more likely), because I just had &pizza a few days before, which is all about the oblong, my perception of pizza shapes were skewed. Anyways, toppings were generous and well-distributed. In terms of taste, the pizza was pretty average; I have had better. The pizza tasted similar to one that you would get at a convenience store, but it is of a higher quality. And I will caveat this by saying that this may not be the case for their pizzas with fresher and more colorful ingredients(aka veggies). Plus, all of the pizzas at Nkd Pizza are made fresh and to order. The original 10-grain crust was soft but sturdy. The crust to sauce to cheese to toppings ratio was also well-balanced. A 10″ pizza is their small, which is a good size, and more than enough for lunch. They also have medium and large offerings(12″ and 14″) respectively. A 10″ pizza ranges from $ 11-$ 14, while a larger pizza will run closer to $ 20. I have to commend the service here — kudos to the effective management. Even with a free food promo, everything was kept organized and flowing — I was in and out in only 10 minutes! All staff members were friendly and engaging. Nkd Pizza’s thing is having all-natural ingredients and offering a healthier version of pizza. Their mission is definitely something I can get behind. Sometimes healthier isn’t always tasty, but in Nkd Pizza’s case, the difference is negligible. Yes, if you eat slow enough, you can taste the graininess of the crust and you’ll realize that this is not your typical pizza. But it still tastes like a pizza should. The top of my pizza was still a little greasy, but that’s to be expected with meaty pizza toppings. The bottom of the box, however, was barely greasy — which was impressive, and definitely speaks to their healthful approach. Three stars for the pizza, and a fourth star for their excellent service.

I went to their re-brand/Pi Day celebration and received outstanding customer service and a pretty good(& free) 10″ pizza. I got the Four Corners style, and the toppings were delicious. The pizza is pretty thin, so it may be a little hard to cook just right — had some burnt edges. But overall, pretty good. Like I said, I got my pizza for free, so can’t judge the prices… but, from a quick glance at the menu board, they seemed reasonable. Overall, a pretty good experience.

Went for the free pizza on pi day. I ate 2 slices and threw the rest out. Like seriously, the pizza just isn’t good. Maybe its the focus on health or no additives, but all the toppings, crust, and cheese just taste flat. Like they left out salt, butter/oil, and seasoning from everything. Maybe this is their thing? I don’t waste my time reading all the word spam this place has around saying what they exclude from their pizza. I ordered the one with the spicy tomato sauce and jalapenos(can’t find the name because THEIRWEBSITEISBROKEN!!?). Had absolutely no kick to it. Just tastes flat. The crust is especially flavorless. Would recommend any of the major fast food horrible quality pizza chains if you are looking for pizza with flavor. tl;dr — got pizza for free, threw it out and ate leftovers for dinner.

Ordered from Naked Pizza through Unilocal a few days ago because leaving my apartment was especially difficult and delivery was the only option for a solid meal. I decided to try Naked Pizza for the first time and I’m so glad I did! I ordered the 5 cheese pizza and I melted almost as much as all the cheese on the pizza was. It was so good! It did have an interesting taste as some other reviewers mentioned, but I found it to still taste like an authentic pizza. It wasn’t overly greasy, either. The food came within 30 minutes and it was nice and warm. The best experience was probably the delivery man. The delivery man was an absolute joy, if that doesn’t sound weird. He seemed so happy to be delivering pizza! It was like he was receiving the pizza instead of giving it. I also received a free Boyland soda which tasted fantastic with the 5 cheese pizza. My only con is the price. $ 20 including the delivery charge for a medium pizza is a bit much. I felt very good about what I was paying for, though.

This five star is for the calzone… The crust was amazing. I got spinach, artichoke, red onion, and sauteed mushrooms. With white garlic sauce and daiya. The daiya was really great– was a little sticky but still very tasty! Will return for the calzone! I think one reviewer summed it up perfectly: «Despite being full, we didn’t hate ourselves afterwards…»

I live right near this place. They have a gluten free crust option which is awesome. The pizza is pretty good too. I generally get the BBQ sauce option and then go from there. The delivery is usually extremely fast. Like amazingly fast. Tonight the pizza was brought 15 mins after I ordered online. I had added the tip online with my payment but I was so impressed with the speed I gave the guy a couple more bucks. Mmmmm pizza!!!

Pizza has a different, more grainy texture because of the ingredients that they use but still very delicious. Got the BBQ chicken pizza and it was full of flavor and tasted like they used fresh I ingredients, not something pulled out of a can. Also ordered a spinach and goat cheese salad with extra spiniach. They don’t skimp you on anything. There was a good amount of goat cheese, cranberries, corn and almonds. good deal for what you get and you don’t feel guilty afterwards either. I would go back and try a few different things.
