I love this restaurant. It’s a hole in the wall and the food has never disappointed me! I have never ordered anything other than Canh Chua(sweet and sour fish soup) and Ca Kho To(caramelized and braised catfish in clay pot). This is a family style type of order so it comes with steamed white rice. The service is not very good– I have to ask for a drink refill and for more rice sometimes, but the food is excellent and keeps me a returning customer. Five stars for the food!

The place is small and feels like eating at home whenever I have lunch here which is not a bad thing. Bun Rieu and hu tieu are my two favorite things. Very flavorful with the dipping sauce and vegetables. The only downside is that they start charging for extra stuff that you ask for more(ex: fried garlic — $ 2). Service is a little slow but it’s understandable. Overall, food are very authentic and I would come back for more deliciousness.

Went for lunch and ordered Bun Bo Hue. The soup was not bad, it definitely had a good flavor… the lemongrass came through. It was not spicy though and the broth was pretty clear, a very light yellow. Everything in it was cooked well. I have no complaint about that. The service was good too, fast. The lady running the register was very considerate, my total came to $ 8.10 and she gave me $ 2 back from a $ 10. The things is I love the wonderful rust color that a bit of chili oil adds, and that you get when the broth is cooked a bit longer with all the meat and bones in it. I really like the places that cook it a bit and then the onions are less raw, that adds flavor too. This place did not seem to do that… what they did to is serve me two fatty pork knuckles, 4 slivers of beef, 1 tiny cube of blood and a few slices of pressed pork product. I’ve had better, that’s all I’m saying. I do want to say that I would go back to try some other things, I’ve just read some reviews here and most people do not review them on their bun bo Hue.

Best place for Hu Tieu since it’s in their name and that’s their specialty. I can’t review any other food there because I only come here for Hu tieu. First off the parking lot is ample but with other great restaurants in the same center it could be crowded at times. You walk in and wait to be seated, that’s where it could be very slow on some nights and kinda frustrating. But once you sit, things can go quickly. I order the Hu Tieu My Tho, clear noodles, wet and large bowl. I’m a little different so I add the same sauces I put in my Phở. Gives it a little flavor and it’s sooo good. Enjoy

I’m a frequent diner here and they are always packed in the mornings. Food is very authentic and delicious. They are known for their hu tieu. It’s even in their name, of course. I love ordering their bun mam, which is a very traditional Vietnamese dish that has a super flavored broth with thick round noodles that are also used in bun bo hue, meat, fish, seafood, etc. If you’re feeling bold and would like to try something new, I’d suggest you take the plunge and dive into this one. They don’t serve this in many Viet restaurants because it has a strong smell and you certainly won’t find it as well made as they cook it here, aside from homemade. Another favorite is the bun rieu. Many Viet places eff this one up, but it’s tasty here. They have vermicelli in a red broth filled with tomatoes, meat, and orange crab paste– the best part which makes this dish. On days where I’m not that hungry, I enjoy eating their goi cuon thit nuong aka Vietnamese bbq spring rolls. Side note, I was in the process of writing a 5 star review, but docked off a star for the service tonight. We ordered 2 orders of their bun mam and an order of the bbq pork with Jasmine rice. Once the first bun mam order came out(they’re usually brought out simultaneously), my mom confirmed with the waitress if it was 2 orders and the waitress responded, «You said one order of bun mam.» Um. What? My older brother and I CLEARLY heard her repeat my mother’s order of 2 bun mam and 1 rice plate during the process of ordering, it was also written down, and now she’s making it out to be the customer’s fault for not ordering correctly? Nonono. That is a taboo. You do not do that, thankyouverymuch. The customer knows what they want. And even when they’re wrong, they’re right, and you should cater to them properly, fix whatever was wrong, without an attitude. Gosh, I hated that impolite tone of her voice. Since my mom came for the food, she left it alone because she doesn’t like arguing, but our sibling’s blood was boiling, although I’ll let it slide. One more, and we won’t be regulars anymore. There are plenty of Vietnamese restaurants out there and a home-cooked Vietnamese meal is no problem for a Vietnamese family.

Hu tieu with pork, shrimp and squid(H6). Served with soup and egg & clear noodles. Yummy sounds as I try to get every drop of that soup. Didn’t need any of the condiments, just squeeze of lime for me. Always promise to try something else but keep going back to my favorite.

Whenever I come here, it reminds me of being in Vietnam. I’ve never been to Vietnam, but this place makes me think I’m there. Authentic place. Waitstaff may or may not speak English. The older waitress had to get a young waiter because she couldn’t understand my broken Viet. I thought it was a little excessive because all I said to her was, «H1» and even pointed to the menu. She made a confused face and looked towards the waiter boy, and the waiter repeated to her, «H1». The waitress got a little frustrated and made motions like she gives up, and then leaves the young waiter to handle my order. Didn’t bother me. I just wanted to eat. This was one of the best Sunday morning meals here in my life(even though I’ve been coming here for years). I ordered the hu tieu with everything(pork, shrimp, squid, and pork liver). I got the large size because it’s only thirty cents more than a small. Even though I know the small is already a good size for me, it’s hard to pass on such a good deal. I got both clear noodle and egg noodle because I saw the other reviewers had done so. :) I like combinations too. The broth was so GOOD. The pork, squid(both tender), and noodles were my favorites too. I found out I don’t like the dense mineraly taste of pork liver so I won’t be getting that next time. This is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in DFW.

This place never seems to fail me. I’ve been coming here since I started college at UTA. It’s one of my favorite places to eat when I’m in the area. I recommend the H1.

Hu Tieu, or BBH that’s what you need to get! Good food over all though. Don’t be afraid to be adventurous since whatever you pick should be good. Service is fast as well. Calm and just the right amount of noise for it not to be awkward while eating.

This is my little family’s go to spot after mass on sundays. Hu tieu is delicious and feels«lighter» than eating phở. Hubby usually orders the combo w/o liver. I think they give you an extra shrimp if you do w/o the liver. I usually order the hu tieu with chicken. This isn’t your average chicken — it’s free range chicken. You can tell in the texture. We love the crunch pork rind skin that tops the broth off. Their goi(cabbage salad) also comes with free range chicken and mixed in a delicious marinade. It feels very healthy and light. You can order it separately or with the chao(congee) which is also very nice and flavorful. I usually like to eat chao when I’m feeling under the weather. It’s a very large portion. We always have leftovers.

I love this place, it’s my new go to for Vietnamese noodle soups in DFW area. Must try is their duck salad with porridge, mixed seafood dry noodle(chewy noodle), bun mam and salted lemon/salted plum with soda drink

I love love love this place! I first started going here with friends after Sunday school and their hu tieu is on point. I’ve recently discovered the chao vit with a side of goi(cabbage salad) which they serve with nuoc mam gung and it has become my favorite thing to eat there. If you don’t want anything soupy, give their hu tieu kho or my kho — thap cam style. They give you a bowl of soup on the side. During peak times, they are really busy and you’ll for sure be standing and waiting to be seated especially after church on Sundays or on a weekend night. Only con I have about My Tho is that their phones never seem to work. Every time I try to call and place a to-go order, the line is always busy.

MyTho is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Arlington, and there are plenty of really good Vietnamese restaurants in Arlington! You dont come to Mytho and expect great service or nice décor. You come to Mytho to eat their delicious AUTHENTIC Vietnamese dishes/noodle soups. I always get their combination Hu Tieu Mi. It comes with pork, squid, shrimp, liver and I like my bowl with both the egg noodles and the glass noodles. I’ll add a little bit of lime and chili sauce. Delicious and I always finish my entire bowl! The only reason I give Mytho 4 stars and not 5 stars is because I feel that the restaurant in itself could be a little more clean. Tables always seem to be a little sticky and the fact that the A/C wasn’t on during the 80 degree humid weather didn’t help either.

I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to actually try this place! It definitely beats Phở Pasteur all the way(food wise and service wise). The hu tieu here is true blue Vietnamese and I can almost say it beats my momma’s(sorry mom). If you are looking for authentic cooking, come here! I always get hu tieu with shrimp, chicken and pork. Everything in it is so savory! I’ve found myself eating less phở and wanting more hu tieu ever since I started coming here. I’ve never had a problem with service, although there might be a language barrier with others for those who don’t speak Vietnamese. As with most Asian restaurants, don’t forget to pay at the register. If you order to go, they get it to you relatively fast as well! 5⁄5!

We ordered the needles soup. It’s tasted ok, nothing to die for. The service on the other hand is not good. They don’t really speak English at all. I call them while I was in the parking lot before I go in to see if they take cc because I just realized that I am out of cash. The person answered the phone don’t speak English at all. He had no idea what I was asking him. If you can’t speak English, don’t answer the phone…

OHMYGOSH. Their egg noodle soup is AMAZZZZZING! I always bought phở during cold/rainy weather but I wanted to try something new! They’re right next to Phở Pasteur(serves the best phở in town imo) and I decided to give them a try! Since then, I’ve been a fan of their Hu Tieu! I always get the H4 which is shrimp and pork w/egg noodles! Very affordable and they don’t skimp out on the meat too: D

4.5 would be more accurate, so I put 5 to offset. Viet central region cuisine. Duck or Chicken porridge/cabbage salad with vinaigrette is excellent. Catfish sweet and sour soup/braised catfish is also excellent. Of course the signature Hu Tieu is a great choice too.

The Hu Tieu kho was bland. The egg rolls came out cold. I’m just spoiled by Houston Viet food standards. It’s okay for Dallas I guess.

I’ve been here a few times in the past few years. It’s nothing spectacular. My dad really likes the hu tieu do bien(seafood) here though and he went through a phase where he got some at least once or twice a week for about two months. My mom gets the hu tieu kho when we go, so it’s not as soupy. My mom got the bun mam once, and she said it was just ok. She never ordered it again… I also get the hu tieu do bien with both kinds of noodles. It’s not bad, but it never makes me crave it enough to come back. I only come when my dad wants some hu tieu. He does say they have the best hu tieu in Arlington. I personally haven’t tried it at all the Vietnamese restaurants in Arlington to know. The service is okay, nothing special. I don’t really get checked up on except for drink and entrée orders. After I get my food, they don’t really come back unless we call for them. Although now that I think about it, that’s not really a problem for me at a place like this. Everything I need is already at the table. Whenever I do need something, they’re close enough for me to get their attention without much wait or trouble. I’ve never had a problem with attitude here though, and the food doesn’t take long to come out.

I went here with my mom and I ended up getting a rice plate C1 it was ok at best wasn’t anything great to rave about. The rice was ok and the pork was ok, the fried egg was bland. Pretty much everything was ok at best. I definitely have had better rice plates and I definitely was expecting something better. But the other things looked a lot better so I give it 3 stars for now since my mom was raving about the noodles she was eating shows what I know I should have stuck with what she ate. Overall not anything amazing but definitely wasn’t the worst. If I want a rice plate I’ll go to My Lan in watauga.

After another endless night of drinking, I needed something to revitalize. Phở is usually my go to for post imbibing but I didn’t want the grease from that this morning. Some good hu tieu with a lighter, less fatty broth is what I needed. My friend has been going here for years and suggested we try this place. I said let’s do it. We ordered some goi cuon so I could get some food in me quick, a hu tieu dac biet, a bun man vit, and some café sua da. The goi cuon was not memorable so it probably wasn’t worth the money. The hu tieu hit a spot not only in my belly but my heart. It helped me feel better so quickly, it was almost a miracle. The squid was fresh and not chewy. The shrimp was soft and tender. The pork was moist. And the soup is definitely a cure for dehydration. Not too salty, not too greasy. just sweet and flavorful. The bun man vit was my girlfriend’s meal so I got to sample. The soup was not overly flavored with bamboo so that made me happy. All the flavors were great and the nuoc mam gung was a great complement to the fatty duck. The coffee was a bit thick so I had to dilute mine a bit. One of my big reasons for wanting to return is to taste the chao ga, served with what is probably a whole chicken. Looked so freaking good, I was considering eating a second lunch.
