Modell’s Sporting Goods

This Modells has a very limited stock. I came in to look for Asics sneakers. I was extremely disappointed to see that out of their small sneaker selection, they only carry two types of Asics sneakers. On top of that, there was nothing in a size 7.
Customer service was pretty nonexistent too. There were about six or seven staffers just standing around in a circle talking while 10 customers waited in line to pay.
Despite its limited selection and lack of customer service, I will say that it does have quite a few clearance racks with good prices.

Hadn’t shopped here before… usually go to Dicks Sporting Goods. Service was very good with lady at the front desk. Prices were very cheap so now I am wondering bout the quality. We will see after the first wash.

It is a normal store. The staff os cool and i found what i needed. It is clean and stocked.

We purchased a pair of cleats for my son a few days ago, and they were too tight. So we made sure they were spotless and took them back; or rather, my pregnant wife, due in a week, did. A story employee made a comment as my wife entered with our son to the effect of, ‘Aww man I remember that sale.’ The employee at the register told my wife that they could not give us our money back because she was using her debit card instead of mine, even though they are for the same account. She asked to speak with the manager. Turns out he was the one who made the unprofessional comment as my wife entered. He told her the same thing, and as my wife became more upset, continued to say he was not going to make a return except for store credit. She asked to speak with someone else, to which the manager replied that she could come back the next morning if she wanted to. Keep in mind he is saying this to a woman who is 38 weeks pregnant. Finally, with plenty of attitude, he said he would «make an exception,» and then proceeded to complain about a speck of dirt on the cleats that he said would require returning the shoes as «damaged.» Needless to say, I’ll be making a complaint to corporate, as I am outraged he treated my pregnant wife with such lack of courtesy and respect.

Modell’s just opened a little more than 3 weeks ago and I’m so glad they came to Pentagon City. It’s in such a great location as it’s walkable from the metro.
It’s very clean inside the store and they’re always running sales on shoes, athletic wear in the store. They have most of your sporting goods you’re looking from football, baseball, basketball, hockey and gym equipment.
With great prices, I see myself stopping in very option. Don’t forget to sign up for their free MVP rewards program!

I’ve never been to Modell’s before, this place reminds me of an affordable Dicks SportingGoods. The store is in a great location being across the Pentagon City Mall across from best buy. Walking in the store is very clean. I was greeted when I first walked in which is uncommon in most places. Each staff member I came across greeted me as well and asked if I need help. Although I was just checking out the store I did buy a few things. I truly hope they keep up with the amazing professionalism. This was a grand opening so only time will tell. Overall I’m very excited and will do alot of shopping here.
