Little Tokyo

This is the best little place I’ve been to in awhile, quiet and you can tell everything is made fresh. We ordered $ 90 worth of food and our tummies are very satisfied! Keep up the good work guys!

Ordered delivery. Was a bit slow but not unreasonable for a Saturday evening. We ordered the Volcano Roll. Crawfish on the top was missing. It was drenched in sauce to the point that the roll fell apart. Aside from the missing crawfish and excess sauce, the roll itself was fresh and good. We also ordered the Chicken and Steak Teriyaki. There is no seasoning or Teriyaki sauce on the meat. Sauce is served separately. Fried rice was the best part of the meal. Disappointed in the meal.

The food is outstanding, love the shrimp tempura and the noodle entrees. We always get delivery, fast fast service. The only negative is that you don’t always get the correct sauces to go with the food you’ve ordered. This wouldn’t be a concern if you are dining in.

I want to begin by saying that my visit was excellent!
I was reading some of the other comments and felt despaired that this restaurant received some negative reviews. So, I decided to give this place a review of my own experience.
This restaurant is not a high-​end, fancy, sit down. So I believe some of the negative comments come from the idea that all quality sushi has to be elaborate. It is a to-​go, incredibly fast delivery, and simple and elegant sit down area for those who choose. Yes, there are servers, but from what I observed, they are multi-​tasking and tending to customers as they choose to sit down and enjoy their dinner there. Every time I have sat down, my food was delivered quickly, fresh, and drinks were tended to. I would give a definite ⁵⁄₅ stars for service!
I cannot begin to list my favorites! The edamame, ahi tower, shaggy dog, and the yakisobas are to die for! Oh, and ask about the ramen! It’s made from scratch! It’s amazing!
The décor is simplistic and very relaxing and inviting for a nice chill, and fun atmosphere for friends or even a date! The benches are slightly close together, but granted that they do not have a lot of space, it definitely works, and I would love to see Little Tokyo expanded, and successful! They definitely have the potential!
Overall: Excellent food, service, fast delivery, and perfect atmosphere for a fast lunch if chosen, date night out, or hang out with friends — all serving my favorite entrees for an amazing price!

We had our first meal here and enjoyed the flavors and presentation. The seem to have more take-​out that eat in. That is the same with the other restaurants in this center. Our favorite and first item was the Ahi Tower. We followed that with Paradise Roll, Shaggy Dog and Rattle Snake Roll. We were stuffed when we finished. Hope to return soon.

Their calamari wasn’t not good, and sushi was ok.

Like The Fry Noodle, not that greasy like other American Japanese food

Loved it! It was my first time and I plan to return asap. Very great service, great prices and friendly environment.

I had the combination fried rice and spring rolls and thought they were really good.
Delivery came in about 15 minutes and the food was hot and ready to eat.
Placing my order over the phone was fast & they were very nice.

A local sushi place that delivers?!? Yes please! As a mom with little ones I rarely get to go to nice places anymore much less eat food I love. So having a local place that delivers and has good quality sushi is big for me. They are extremely nice over the phone. The delivery guy is always friendly and fast. Hopefully someday I will get to check out the place in person.

I really wanted to like this place but I cannot think of a reason ever to return.
Is it possible to give zero stars? The only positive I see is their willingness to deliver.
Bad customer service. I was the only person in the place and I was ignored and dismissed. Really? A new out of the way restaurant and you ignore he only person there? Answering questions with short curt responses? Is it just me or is customer service not important?
What is your best entrée: fried rice. In a Japanese restaurant?
Take out food had cold and warm food together. How is that supposed to work out? Mediocre food that was way overpriced for the quality.
Unless you have to have some type of Asian food (just don’t expect Japanese) and you can’t leave the house, go somewhere else.

I was not a sushi fan, but I am now. Tasty food, cozy place, and great service. We will be back.

I stopped in after doing some Unilocal research for sushi and I was not disappointed.
The staff was friendly and the menu was not overwhelming. I went I. Around 2:30 so lunch hours were still in play and I ordered the California/​tempura shrimp roll combo.
It can with a delightful spring roll and a seaweed/​tofu soup. Both extras were very good and neither had an overwhelming taste.
I also ordered an Alaskan roll and a Sunset roll? which were both on the special list.
The sushi was excellent, well-​made and fresh ingredients! I will definitely be back. Actually maybe not because I heard their delivery is super fast :-)

I stopped in after doing a sushi search when I was in the area. They have awesome lunch specials! I’m a fan of small dives, but it is no dive afterall. The food is really good with great value. The décor is modern and the place is very clean. I’ll be going back to try the katsu.

I’ve been meaning to stop by for awhile and finally made it in last Friday. The place is clean and very minimalistically decorated but does have a nice Japanese style to it. There were either six or eight tables very like picnic tables with a wide space between the two rows that probably could have housed a couple small 2-​seaters, but doesn’t. No visible sushi bar, which was unusual, but not a huge deal. I did feel a little awkward taking up a big picnic bench by myself, but there are no small tables so not my fault!
Going for sushi alone really isn’t ideal. One roll is a little too little, two is too much. I ordered two because I couldn’t decide between the shaggy dog and hawaiian roll and it was definitely too much (both food and money). Usually my husband and I split three rolls between us and are comfortably full afterwards. That will work better.
I did enjoy both of the rolls. I would have liked a little more sriracha mayo, they were very sparing with it. The rolls don’t need to be drowning but a little more would have been nice. The flavor was good though and the rolls weren’t mostly rice like some places. I did notice they had some nice looking lunch specials. I will try to get here for lunch sometime.
I know this has been a somewhat cursed restaurant location but hopefully Little Tokyo will buck the trend and succeed.

I LOVE THIS PLACE.
I needed delivery one night and didn’t want pizza… and this place popped up. Delivery took about 15 minutes. Everything was perfectly packaged, warm, and delicious! Needless to say, we order this about 4 times a month… I even had it today… Oh man.
I love their Bento Box, their stir fry, and their miso soup… California roll… The list goes on…
Seriously, the best! Awesome staff as well! So kind and efficient!

The people who work and own this place make sure that everything is right. They had ran out of an appetizer and offered a free one next time I ordered. I forgot and they proactively found it with my address the next time.
The food is always hot and fresh. Typically the delivery is very fast as well.

I thought the food was pretty good. I had miso soup (which is great) to start off with and then a salmon roll and a paradise roll to follow. The salmon roll was very great. It’s better than some other places that serve that type of roll. The paradise roll on the other hand was all right.(was slightly disappointed)
The service was super sweet and polite! There was a mistake with the order for my mother and the check, but after talking to a second server about the problem it was resolved. I would of loved at least one refill of my water. The slower the pace, the more mistakes are able to made. It’s a nice cozy environment.
Over all it was nice! I’ll be coming back! (:
