Lebanese Taverna catered our wedding and we can’t say enough about how great the experience was from start to finish. The restaurant was already a family favorite, and after a tasting(which they set up on a holiday weekend when we were in town) we were convinced they were the right choice for us. The team there, particularly Toni, who was our point of contact, were incredibly responsive, diligent, thoughtful and patient throughout the planning process. We took advantage of their full-service options, and they helped us think through everything from where to set up a bar to how many portions of various dishes to get for our buffet-style meal. Our(many!) questions were answered quickly and thoughtfully, both by email and through phone calls that they were happy to set up throughout the planning process. We were able to have an in-person consultation which was extremely helpful. For delivery, set-up and pick up their team was on time to the minute, and were a pleasure to work with. The table settings and other setup was precisely what we’d envisioned and discussed. And the food itself was fabulous. We were told my more than one guest that it was the best food they’d ever had at a wedding, and we agree! It was beautifully displayed and absolutely delicious. We felt very lucky to work with LT and recommend them very enthusiastically!

Its an awesome location with great food. We ordered the Chef’s platter and a stuffed pilaf. They were kind to subsitute the meat portion with a vegetarian portion on the chef’s platter. The complimentary bread was good too. They service was pretty good.

The best part of this restaurant was the Hummus. Holy crap. The Hummus was off the hook. We got the Hummus trio — it was some kind of Hummus with chicken and another Hummus with lamb/beef bits and then a spicy hummus — all were spectacular! Now, you’re wondering why only 3 stars? Bc the SHAWARMAWASWEAK!!! The meat was SOOOOOODRY!!! I don’t know about you, but when I order Shawarma I expect something moist and sensational… this was neither. Go here for the hummus and thats it.

Three of us went there for dinner around 8 pm, seated in the middle of the half-full dining room. The food is very good, but the service needs a lot of improvement. We had to practically beg for attention the entire evening, despite being right in the middle of the dining room activity. We could often see our waiter chatting with colleagues in the bar area. Took forever to get our wine, both first and second glasses. Highly recommend the Lamb Sharhat and the Salmon Harra. The Lebanese red wine Ksara is outstanding.

I had never been to this location of Lebanese Taverna. I actually almost missed the restaurant because it looks different compared to other Lebanese Tavernas that I have been but when you walk up to it, you can see it has the same signs as the other ones. We were greeted and seated immediately. It wasn’t too busy for a Thursday but there was a steady stream of guests. We decided on an appetizer, a sampler with different Mediterranean dishes including hummus, eggplant, and grape leaves. I love the hummus at Lebanese Taverna. It’s so simple yet very flavorful. It is probably one of my favorite places that does hummus. Then we ordered our entrees. I had the kabob platter of lamb and kafta with rice. The kabobs came out quickly and were well made. The meat was moist, tender, and flavorful and paired well with the rices. I prefer the tahini dipping sauce versus the garlic sauce that came with the dish but they were happy to accommodate my request. Service was good overall, no complaints. Solid location for Lebanese Taverna.

Had a big birthday dinner for my Grandmother’s 80th here – they accommodated every need and brought everything out in a timely manner! Waitstaff was so kind and helpful; overall great experience!

First, I want to say that I like the food here and I crave their hummus and falafel sometimes. I’m a vegetarian and there are a few things on the menu that I love(I can’t speak for the meat dishes). There are also a few delicious cocktails on the menu. The service, however is very hit or miss — I’ve had several good experiences, several just okay, and one truly bad experience, hence the two subtracted stars. The bad experience was about a month ago or so, the mediocre and the good experiences were all within the last year. If you’re getting drinks and food, the bill can get pricey quickly. Lebanese Taverna’s food is usually very good, but for the price, the service should be far more consistent and thorough. I think that happy hour is the best time to come, as there are some decent discounts.

Lebanese Taverna is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. The food is so light and absolutely delicious! I love the chef’s platter because it allows you to try a little bit of everything. It comes with hommus, baba ghanoush, tabbouleh, lebneh, falafel, fatayer, kibbeh, and m’saka. The hommus is so smooth and seasoned perfectly. My absolute favorites are the lebneh and the m’saka with the warm pita bread.

So, I went there for the first time with a group of ten people so that could be a reason for the inadequate service we received, but it is worth mentioning as the service was truly terrible. The good: The Sangria was decent, so no complaints there. The bad: I order a felafel sandwich, you can’t really mess this up, even if you try. But, the minute I got the food it was cold. Everything was cold-the fries and the sandwich. The ingredients could have saved it if it was hot, but it failed to even meet the test as it was cold, like fresh out of the fridge, cold. I’ve had better falafel sandwiches from food trucks, and Amsterdam falafel that are half the price. The service: The waitress was incredibly rude, and hostile to the group. I understand that having a lot of people can be overwhelming, but she lacked common courtesy and simple manners as the group tried to be as accommodating as possible. This was my first time and definitely my last time. This place is definitely not worth it.

This cozy popular restaurant is an ideal place for a Sunday dinner. It closes at 9pm if you’re interested in visiting on a Sunday. The food is delicious. The hummus is authentic and let’s not talking about the well seasoned lamb. It was my first time visiting this restaurant. The price is moderate and it is family friendly. Extremely busy so it’s a hit to the locals in Arlington. If you like cuisine from around the world this place is definitely a good place to visit. I had the Taverna Platter, I figured I would have the chance to taste more in just one sitting. We also ordered the mixed kabobs. Both were great choices.

What a great meal. Had the Ouzi with grape leaves. Fantastically prepared. My wife had her usual, roasted beet salad which is quite tasty with a slightly sweet combination of the roasted beets with Orange and pomegranates. The killer was the drinks. I highly recommend the Arak 75. A takeoff if a French 75 made with Arak, a liquor with a mild anise flavor combined with lemon and champagne. My wife had a Lebanese wine that was a blend if cab, merlot, grenache.

This place seems to have some quality control issues. I ve had their take out food several times and i’ m just not that impressed. Dry meat, above all, to the point it was barely edible. Plus, i’m sorry to say so but the place needs to be cleaner. I was kind of grossed out at the kitchen view at my last visit.

Food is AWESOME. Service can be slow sometimes but just have a glass of wine and chill because the food is worth the wait. Parking is not abundant so arrive at least 10 minutes early to look for parking.

I went to Lebanese Taverna for their pita bread and hummus(Hommos). Everyone should try it. I brought it home for my family and they like it. And it’s a good quick snack to go.

Supbar Lebanese food. I really was rooting for this place considering I was craving it. I got my food to-go for the hubby and I. I got the following – * Baba Ghanoush –pureed eggplant, tahini, garlic, lemon, and pomegranates. This was decent. It had a good balance of everything. *Grilled Shrimp Kabob — lemon-cilantro marinade, garlic, onions, and Lebanese rice. The shrimp was way too dry. I think the taste would have been so much better if this wouldn’t have been the case. Plus being $ 19, I expect a hella lot for quality. *Beef Sharhat($ 21) — sliced sirloin steak, grilled zucchini, potato, lamb reduction, and three herb sauce. Again, dry and overcooked. It was even overcooked for medium well. Good blend of seasonings and flavor if it wouldn’t have been overcooked. I can’t say anything for service, but will be the first to say that this place really needs to improve quality. I hope next time will be better.

Not much to say about this place. The hummus platter is fantastic. I wasn’t thrilled with my lamb kabob — it felt like more of an American recipe than a Lebanese one. But, my dad and brother loved their food, so I may have gotten the lone«meh» dish. Service is ok. Nothing special. Prices are great for the DC area. I’m certain I will be returning for takeout hummus at least once a week.

5 stars for food alone! This is the most authentic Lebanese food in DC. Bottomless hummus at happy hour is an incredible deal. The mezze starters are delicious on their own but for dinner last time I was here I had ouzi with lamb and grape leaves and it was mind-blowing! The rice was so flavorful and the lamb was so tender. The grape leaves were as good as the homemade ones my friends in Jordan make. My friends had shawarma and it was delicious too. Turkish coffee was a perfect finish.

I have had takeout from here many times, but Friday night was my first dine-in experience. I have yet to have anything from this restaurant I didn’t like. It’s quality, delicious and filling home cooked food. The traditional beef/lamb shawarma and arnabeet are my favorite. The restaurant is lovely; it feels more like a home versus a restaurant and our server was very nice. I am a fan.
