HORRIBLE, horrible!!! EXPENSIVEANDTHEFOODISHORRIBLE. I DEFINITELY do not recommend this place to Anyone, LATIN flavor are much better than what they got to offer. This place was nothing like I expected. We traveled from CA and wanted to try their famous cuisine but it was nothing like what we had in mind. I gave them 1 start because otherwise the system wouldn’t let me proceed on posting my comment.

Came in at 6:30p it’s 8:50p and our party is still not seated. Although we have 18 in our group, it has been almost 2.5 hours! Ridículos! I’m plain to the manager who only says we need to give tem more time and be more patient. All we have done for 2.5 hrs is give them time and been patient while spending our money at the bar and watching smaller groups be seated. A good manager would have started adjusting tables for our group much earlier than the complain… suddenly after we complain they are moving on it — is that what it takes to get seated here? I suggest big groups here complain much sooner than 2.5 hours in if you want to be seated.

Just happened upon this restaurant while visiting Dallas. My daughter and I stopped for lunch and we were very pleased. She had the steak fajitas. She declared they were as good as her favorite of all time– the ones she had in Cozumel, Mexico. I had the chicken soup. It had a terrific flavor with latin spices, chunks of fresh vegetables, and a generous amount of chicken. Healthy and delicious. I’d be a regular customer if I lived here.

It’s been several years since I’ve dined at Gloria’s. This was the first time I’ve eaten at this location, so I’m not sure if the overall quality of food has changed or if only this location lacked the flavor of the Salvadorian cuisine I used to adore. I ordered the salmon, it wasn’t bad, but I tasted a much more favorable salmon at a chain restaurant the night before. My husband ordered the carne asada, and it was cold, my son ordered a beef taco and he only took a couple of bites, he said he didn’t like it. When the waitress came to give us our checks we all had a plate full of food and no one wanted a to go box. The wait staff was very attentive, and they even gave my husband chocolate flan for dessert to celebrate his birthday. That was a nice touch.

We had a party of 30 there today 5.7.2016…and they brought my son plate out and it had a dam bug rolled up in his chicken enchiladas… and they had the nerves to call the police on me.

Slow service, but great food. Restaurant is located a busy shopping area with several other restaurants. The complimentary chips, salsa and bean dip hit the spot. Could just munch on these all night with the tasty drinks. Ordered the shrimp dish in garlic sauce, nice sized prawns over a bed of rice with roasted vegetables. Lots of other dishes that I would definitely try if I go back. For dessert, devoured the tres leches and was not disappointed at all.

Gloria’s did it for me. I came Monday evening and they had a decent crowd but many tables available. We met our friends and chips and salsa and black beans were already on the table. Salsa was great and had some kick to it. Funny story: we are waiting for our food when we hear and see a waiter and tray fall and smash all over the floor. Turns out it was our food. Damn, we are going to have to wait longer but no! We still had all four orders to our table in about 20 minutes. Very fast kitchen. The atmosphere is casual and the décor is modern. They dim the lights for dinner to set the mood. All around food was great. I heard no complaints from my friends and damn if they didn’t serve me the perfect yuca frita and platanos. I was very happy with my Carne Asada dish. I subbed double Spanish rice for the black beans as well.

Love, love this restaurant! The lunch crowd is the best timing, if you’re looking to avoid large crowds, however, this location is large enough to accommodate plenty of diners. Food is delicious and such a delectable variety to choose from– we are never disappointed. The grilled salmon and tropical salad is delightfully filling, while my husband always feels you can never go wrong with a fajitas combination-he was happy! Drinks are spot-on, selection is plentiful. One cocktail will definitely suffice!

Bottom line: Great service(especially bartenders), great food, and strong drinks! That’s really all you need to know. This location has always been good to me, but the crowd here has been loud and obnoxious lately. For example, when we walked in, there was a screaming match outside and a lot of «I bet it’s because I’m black» accusations. We made a reservation with the hostess while two police sheriffs guarded either side… it’s a tex-mex restaurant, really… I guess that’s part of this neighborhood. The bartenders, even on the busiest night, will be the first to make eye contact with you from across the bar to get your drink order. I typically find that to be quite rare, especially since I’m 5′ 3″ and I usually have to work pretty hard to get a drink. The margaritas are stout and the mixed drinks leave a couple hairs on your chest; just the way I like it. The complimentary chips, salsa, & black bean dip are flavorful with just the right amount of kick to it. I have never had a dish I did not enjoy here. It’s fairly pricey($ 11-$ 18) but so worth it. Their steak and chicken tacos are great with flour tortillas, and the quail is delicious and perfectly cooked. Yay, I’m definitely a fan. –xoxo

The Churasco Tipico was tough to eat… this is the second time that they served me this garbage. It use to be my favorite. Its sad to see this place going down the drain. IF I wasnt so so hungry I would have sent the meal back…

Really good music! Gets you in the mood to dance. Food is good. The service is good as well. They have some really fun plates for the kids. Fridays is salsa dance, so if you feel like dancing they play pretty great music to dance to.

Gloria’s complimentary chips and salsa with black bean dip are delicious. I visited this Gloria’s location on Sunday September 6th2015. Right When I Walked In I Was immediately greeted and seated. It was just around lunch time. I first ordered a mango mimosa and it was AMAZING. You can taste the mango, and the champagne. They run for $ 5.00. Also I ordered a Grilled shrimp salad with italian dressing. Which was $ 14.99 I got full and couldn’t finish the rest of my salad. Our waiter was very attentive and courteous. This location is located in the Highlands in Arlington. Right across the street from Studio Movie Grill. I found this gem waiting on my movie to start. If you are ever in rhe highlands I highly recommend this place. Food at Gloria’s range from Tex-Mex to seafood, and salads. Also they have a full bar as well.

I got the shrimp enchiladas. Topped with sour cream sauce & filled with cheese. Very good. You get 3 of them, which is enough when rice & beans comes with it. Their refried beans are really good & are topped with cheese as well. Their rice, is also good. They’re known for their drinks(also their happy hour) & I got a frozen margarita that was kinda tropical, I had it mixed with strawberry & mango. It was so strong, in a good way. I could handle it.

solid choice for Tex-Mex. Gratis chips and salsa were delicious, and our server was quite friendly and helpful. Three and not four stars because the chicken in my otherwise DELIGHTFUL sour cream enchiladas was dry.

Omg! The WORST Gloria’s I’ve ever been too! First, our order took forever to come out and when it finally did only one out of four dishes came out and it was wrong! So after 15mins the rest of the dishes came out. I ordered the tilapia, it was dry and disgusting. Our waiter was barely even around and when he finally did come around, we complained about the food. He apologized and said the kitchen has been messing up all day and so he called his manager. Manager came, didn’t even apologize or offer any consolation. NEVER coming back to this location ever again!!! BEYONDHORRIBLE!

I was invited to Gloria’s for happy hour and it was awesome! Their house margarita is delicious. I brought my sisters who were visiting me and they loved it as well. My sister ordered the Gloria’s Signature Margarita and Marvin was an outstanding bartender(and cute too)! We shared the combination fajitas and still had some to take home. Looking forward to salsa dancing on Saturday night.

Gloria’s complimentary chips, salsa, and black bean dip are delicious, and of course they make a lovely and strong margarita. They also have some killer appetizers that are pretty and filling. I’m totally happy to come here for a light bite and cocktails, but I find their main menu slightly underwhelming and a little overpriced compared to restaurants that serve similar cuisine/portion sizes. Their menu prices aren’t online, but most entrees will run you $ 15 to $ 18. However, I’d say that Gloria’s boasts a bit more of an upscale and«fine dining» sort of ambiance, so in that sense their menu prices are great. But I just don’t see myself spending that on enchiladas and chimichangas. Last time I visited this location on an early Friday evening, I was in the mood for something small and fresh. I sat on the patio which is not the most beautiful or comfortable space, but it’s great for people watching in the middle of the Highlands shopping center. I ordered a glass of wine and the Ceviche Trio appetizer, which is 3 adorable dishes(shrimp cocktail, orange roughy, and scallops) beautifully presented with bright tomato, creamy avocado bits, orange slices, and pickled red onion. A fried plantain chip was placed in each dish, making it even more colorful and delicious. Very citrusy and fresh! I ate the ceviche on my tortilla chips or just straight with my fork, and I definitely recommend it! There is plenty for sharing(I did not finish it all). Service was a bit slow on the patio, but very friendly. All in all I enjoy Gloria’s, it’s just not one of my favorites.

I’ve been a fan of Gloria’s for many years, ever since I first went to the location on West 7th in Fort Worth. The Highlands location isn’t on the level of the Fort Worth one in my opinion. The food is decent; I have ordered the chimichanga and chile relleno in the past. On my most recent visit I ordered a chile relleno and it was open faced, which was kind of weird to me. The chile was almost too soft and the chicken was a bit dry at times. Their salsa is fantastic and while everyone loves their bean dip, I’m just not a fan of bean dip unless it’s hummus. That’s more of a personal preference than anything. One thing that really shocked me is how much the price of drinks has gone up over the last several years. When this location first opened up I remember getting the Gloria’s signature margarita and it was $ 9. Now that same drink is $ 14 and the small margaritas are $ 9. Whaaaaat? I’m not cheap when it comes to eating out but that price jump was quite the shocker. The service was good and our waiter Fernando was attentive to our needs. When we got our checks there was a 20% gratuity tacked on to our bill. I was quite surprised because they usually tack on 18% and I read and have heard servers complain about the IRS changing the law about automatic gratuities. Maybe Gloria’s hasn’t gotten the memo about that.
