Elizabeth B Cornick Lcsw

I began seeing Elizabeth (Puma) Cornick for individual and group therapy in 2006. Over the past seven years, her guidance and counsel have proven invaluable not only in helping to guide me through times of personal crisis, but also in helping me to improve the overall quality of my personal and professional relationships. I felt instantly comfortable with her during our first session and have only grown more so over the years. I have referred a number of friends to Puma and they have all had similarly positive experiences. I have never had a session with Puma where she was not fully engaged. She remembers personal details – many of which were shared in past rather than recent sessions; she challenges my assumptions and judgments, but always in an empathic way and she has always made me feel supported. She is reliable and responsive, particularly in times of emergency when I have needed to schedule a last-​minute session. In addition to being a wonderful therapist, she is also a wonderful person. A consummate professional, Puma is unfailingly astute, honest, compassionate and intuitive. She also has a wonderful sense of humor and has never shied away from sharing a personal anecdote when it was appropriate and helped to put me at ease or feel that I had company in a certain situation. I really cannot recommend her enough.

I have been seeing Ms. Cornick for over 3 years now. She is a wonderful therapist. Her office is actually in Rosslyn, VA. Highly recommend. She also has group therapy, and couples therapy.
