I like the food here a lot! Seriously, everything I’ve gotten here i have been extremely satisfied with. Everything from the food, service, quickness of the food, and price of the food has been extremely satisfactory to me. The General Tso’s chicken from here is the best in the area. Spare rib tips are great! Chicken wings are fantastic! I like this place, plain and simple. It’s cheap and the food is tasty. Can’t complain at all.

After being underwhelmed with many of the Chinese places in Arlington, we tries Eastern and will definitely be back. the food seemed fresh and the portions were generous and well priced.

This place is a disgrace. The cashier who takes your order could care less. The carryout takes so long that an ice age could have come on gone. Add to this an un-appealing interior that does seem to be have cleaned and you have a place to be avoided at all costs.

Its been a couple years since we’ve ordered from this Chinese restaurant. Their chicken wings were really good and I had a craving for them. I got a bunch of coworkers together who also ordered with me and started calling the restaurant beginning at 10:45 am. At 11:05 I called again with no answer! Does anyone know if this place is still open?

Great place to eat for carryout! Didn’t expect to get THAT much food for under $ 10! What a surprise! Other places give you a portion, I felt as if there was enough for three people. The combo is definitely the way to go — just be careful or you may not be able to walk afterwards.

This is one of the local delivery review I be making. We order the Sesame chicken with white rice. It was ok. Has a little kick of pepper taste. It was hot and not dry. There hot and sour soup was not that good. delivery was fast. Not what to go out of my way get it. But I going to get it during the lunch menu. Near and fast and they can get in the building.

Just when I didn’t think the steak & cheese here couldn’t get any better, they added the options to add green peppers, mushrooms and even an egg. Yes an egg! Amazing!

This is your typical hole in the wall Chinese carry out, so don’t except much. Prices are cheap and they are open late. Real late because I have drunkenly stumbled here late one night and they were open. The staff is friendly enough, they aren’t here to be your best friend or cater to you, they are here to take your order, take your money and give you food. Food here is consistent and I shamefully admit I order here often because it’s within delivery distance to my home and I love cheap Chinese food. Great for hangovers. I’ve maybe gotten a stomach ache from here once or twice, but nothing gut wrenching(I know that sounds awful but whatever). My main go-to dishes, combination lo mein, beef chow fun, sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken or pork, wonton soup, spring roll, crab rangoon. The egg drop soup has been awful the past few times so I stopped ordering it, and the egg roll is gross. Oh and my boyfriend loves their steak and cheese sub(he mentioned it’s better than The Broiler subs). And everything is dirt cheap. Delivery is good too when you are too drunk or hung over to pick it up. They also have mumbo sauce for you DC natives. Cheers.

I’ve eaten here a handful of times and it’s pretty consistent. I mostly go here with a friend and split a meal. Dragon & Phoenix is always fantastic which is half General Tso and half Sweet & Spicy Shrimp. They give it in a standard cafeteria container completely covering the whole area. Tonight we tried Perfect Match which is scallops and shrimp in garlic sauce. The sauce was great, lots of scallops, a lot of filler veggies but overall good. However the size was about half of the other meal. Spring rolls are always good as is the egg drop soup. Tried crab rangoon today and they were good. I don’t know if its typical fare or not but its better than some of the other places around here that i’ve been to. Also the girls at the front are nice and they have mambo sauce. My friend and I like it and continue to use it as a goto spot.

I used to love this place! But the past couple of times ive ordered from here it has not been good! Me and my boyfriend ordered from here the other night and I ordered steak and cheese with provolone cheese, an order of seasoned french fries, and a shrimp basket with french fries. The man who took my order repeated my order back twice and both times he said seasoned french fries. So about 40 mins later the food arrives and I look in the bag and there is no seasoned french fries so I called and told them and the same man who took my order tells me that I didnt order seasoned fries and I told him yes I did we go back and forth about this a couple times and then he starts to yell at me! So i cussed him out and hung up on him! On top of all of that my boyfriends steak and cheese had AMERICAN cheese on it when I asked for provolone and my shrimp and french fries was overloaded with salt that I couldnt even eat it I ended up throwing it away. I will not order from Easterns ever again I will just have to stop being lazy and walk to Andys Carry Out!

Very quick if you order by phone before dropping by. Great value as the food is good quality and they do not skimp on the quantity. I found that the best deal is the combo instead of the a la carte. Albeit you get more of your entrée with the latter, with the combo you get rice(fried or white) and an egg roll. Best of all, there is no question that you can share the combo between two and still get a full belly. My go-to for quick Chinese in Ballston, highly recommended.

I’m still unsure of why BF’s co-worker considers this a must-go. But I must admit, having eaten from here twice, I’m sure we’ll be back when we’re in the mood for greasy Asian at a good walking distance so we can preemptively walk off the forthcoming MSG rush. We’ve had the sesame chicken and the general tso chicken. Apparently, the GT chicken is supposed to be a little spicier than the sesame, but the slight kick I got from the GT was probably no more than a sprinkling of black pepper. Pretty good overall though, as far as Chinese take-out goes. The biggest redeeming factor of Eastern Carryout is the value. The meal deal is slightly cheaper than the entrée, and comes with a very generous portion of fried rice and an egg roll. The rice and chicken completely filled up the styrofoam box, revealing a block of food packed and molded into the shape of the box. The egg roll is unremarkable, just a thick batter of flour blanketing shredded cabbage. There was enough food for a full dinner for three, and the third portion was consumed a few hours later when the characteristic«I just ate a full serving of food – how a I hungry again?» syndrome of Chinese food kicked in. * You have to question the quality of ingredients when the mountain of food only contained a few pieces of broccoli. Could it be that the chicken/rice they use is actually more expensive than the broccoli? ** The little duck sauce and soy sauce packets say«NOMSG» — what’s the point then?

The food there was pretty good, fast deliver and cheap. The foods are still hot when it’s delivered! Is my favorite Chinese carry out restaurant!

Thoroughly adequate Chinese delivery. Sauces tend to be a bit heavy on salt and fat, but the food seems fresh, prices are low, and the delivery is quick.

This is walking distance from me, so used to be my go-to Chinese take-out. It’s really low-frills and decent greasy Chinese. But they’re really inconsistent, so I’d rather drive or get delivery, personally. Being veg, I would order broccoli with garlic sauce and request adding tofu. Sometimes it would be correct, and I really enjoyed it. But sometimes they would forget the tofu… and sometimes I would have shrimp instead of tofu. So it was truly a crap shoot. I’m sure I’ll be back again based on convenience, but there are a lot better places to order Chinese(with more veg options!) in Arlington.

This is by far the worst tasting Chinese food I have ever had. I love hole in the walls, but only if they are accompanied by good food. Totally not authentic nor a good American Chinese knockoff. Don’t order from here, you will struggle trying to get your dog to eat it.

My boyfriend and I got food delivered from here. It was good and didn’t seem as unhealthy as some other Chinese takeout but it was slightly less flavorful as well. The beef with broccoli, while not especially greasy, was also a bit bland. I like that they put the sauce for the sweet and sour chicken in a separate container, to keep the chicken from getting soggy. The food was quick to arrive. I would order again.

This is sort of the quintessential american chinese takeout place you have imagined in your head — there’s no seating, a bunch of picture menus, food is incredibly greasy and covered in those starchy chinese sauces. Of course, they deliver, and the plus side, the food has never made me sick and seems to made of advertised meats instead of say, stray pets. This is the place where you go when you’ve stayed up late watching kung fu films and you are ravenous for chinese food, no matter how gross, right now.

My favorite Chinese delivery joint. A cheap, fast, and fairly tasty place to get a quick meal that really is better than most of its competitors. As an added bonus, I think the wings come from a secret pterodactyl breeding program. I’ve tried beef, chicken, pork, and seafood here and never once spotted«the shining» that can be common at many Chinese takeout places. Give them ring and fill up.
