I dropped-in to this box for a few workouts while in town for business. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, as were the members. I focus on the o-lifts, so I came to open gym hours. Can’t vouch for wod programming, but the members seemed to be challenged and worked hard. I highly suggest visiting this box if in the area on business, or for general membership.

I have not been with crossfit very long, but already I am so impressed by CFA. The trainers(or I suppose they call them«coaches») are amazingly supportive and encouraging. I was terrified to get started – everyone and everything seemed so intimidating – but this place is so far from intimidating. People have been warm and friendly and unbelievably helpful. If people notice that you are new or confused about what is going on, they immediately step in to explain or help you out. I like that the coaches are focused on strength and good form, vs. a BodyPump class at the gym where they never walk around to observe and adjust. All in all, I just really feel good about my decision to join this particular crossfit. Hopefully it will continue to exceed my expectations.

I’ve been going here for maybe 8 months. They are very customer oriented and offer a lot of daytime classes. Plus, membership allows you to use their CF Falls church facility as well. They have a lot of extra offerings: free yoga & an Olympic lifting seminar that’s free for everyone on Sundays. Parking is more than adequate, though it’s not metro accessible(which is not a factor for me). Also, not sure if this is commonplace, but it’s kind of cool that the entire warm-up/mobility portions of each workout are at the discretion of the particular coach. So if you don’t like the teaching style of a particular coach, there are another 20 that might meet your needs.

I have been going to CFA for about 6 months. I did the Elements(introductory course) in July and couldn’t wait to start doing the WODs(workout of the day). All of the coaches there are excellent — incredibly experienced and always willing to give you guidance on how to improve your form or how to scale a difficult workout. Although I competed in school sports and am rather fanatical about spinning, I was nervous to try to do anything with a barbell — but the great thing is you can make each workout your own. If you can’t do a certain weight or movement, the coaches show you how to scale it down so the move is still challenging but doable so you can eventually gain the strength and skill to do the full movement. The best part about Crossfit Adaptation is the community — everyone I have met there is friendly and supportive and driven.

After recently moving from CT, I found myself missing my old box… a lot. That was, until I found Crossfit Adaptation. The place has that«warehousy» feel(exposed fittings, gritty touches) to it — which provides a great atmosphere to get you pumped for any WOD(workout of the day). The coaches are all really well-trained — and vary in personality types(helpful so that you never get too comfortable with any one«style» — intense, funny, motivating). Also, much like many other Crossfit boxes, CFA has a great community about it. Everyone is incredibly encouraging(cheering for each other during especially hard workouts) and even beginners can workout without having to look over their shoulder to see if anyone is judging how much weight they’re lifting. Lastly, they’re memberships are super flexible and allow you to go month-to-month without jacking the price up — which is a huge benefit if you’re just looking to try it out. Once you try it out though, you’ll probably want to call it «your box».

Love this place. I started my membership 6 months ago with the Elements class taught by Aviv, who was an exceptional instructor. I’ve never had a bad workout here — they constantly remove all egos from the gym and provide an unbelievably welcoming experience for all experience/athletic levels! It’s the best workout I’ve ever had, and I’ve been going to Golds for over 10 years. Highly recommended. Try the free intro classes on Saturdays at noon — you won’t be sorry!

This place is amazing. I’m doing things I never thought I could do and the instructors are awesome. I’m not the strongest or most coordinated person in the world but they always work with me and I’ve improved so much in a short period of time. I love this place!

I visited this place on a Saturday. I’m new to cross-fit, and have been hopping around trying intro classes at other boxes. I have to say so far, this is the best out of the 2 others I’ve tried. I tried one before, and it wasn’t too bad. However they really threw you right into it, and didn’t scale much. This one was a nice balance of everything. The coach was very nice as well, and didn’t push to sell anything. They both seemed knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in helping you become a better you. The workout itself was a challenge, but rather short. However it’s a free intro class. It was all body weight exercises, and a run/jog. There were not lifts. I’m thinking this is normal for trial classes. I had a coupon for another one, so their workouts were normal. I just did a few sessions. I’d say the only downside is parking, it’s hard to come by, and on Sat it’s very bus around their box. In a nutshell, great facility, awesome coaches, and conveniently located for those in the Arlington area.

I have been a member of CFA since it opened. I love it! Curtis, the owner, is a great guy; laid-back but also pushes you to get better. The workout times are very convenient. They’ve got early morning, morning, afternoon and evenings! All fitness levels welcome and it’s a very welcoming environment. All the coaches are helpful and supportive.
