Went on Saturday night. Sushi rolls was great. Service was awesome. The Restaurant side closed at 12am and we went to the Club side. It was definitely a mixed crowd, we enjoyed ourselves. We will be back

Great place to eat sushi. Delicious, my favorite there is the Volcano. If your nearby, give this place a shot, I did, and no complaints nor regrets. Waitress and waiters were super friendly too.

This place food is not good at all. After we ate the chicken which was lukewarm, one of us got sick immediately after. I had the Catapillar sushi roll which was ok. I’ve had better sushi at Kona Grill. Just a good place to go to hangout. Definitely won’t come back for the food maybe for the atmosphere?(Wish I could give no stars)

Id prefer NOT to go on Saturdays. It’s a lot of people on the building… Too many people on the building but it beats sitting in the house. With that said you want to go on a Sunday. During a cowboys game! There’s enough people to people watch. Get some sushi and a drink. The DJ was playing some good stuff and there were just enough ratchets out to keep you laughing. The hookah is good depending on who makes it. I’ve had one last 2 hours and another hit for 45 minutes, but I digress. This sushi is good as hell. I ordered the Louisiana roll and the California. The Louisiana was soooooo good. Really mouth watering to just look at it and with a splash of soy and eel sauce, you’ve found love. They’ve got a feat selection for and palette. Plus for lunch they have 3 rolls for $ 10(and the Louisiana roll may or may not be on there — okay it is!) The California was good but it’s just that. A California roll. I ordered the Malibu pineapple, which was nice and fruity. GOGETYOUSOME, even if it’s during ratchet hours. ;)

I actually like their sushi but you never know when they’re going to close so it’s super inconvenient. They went from closing at 2am, to 12am according to Google, 10:30 pm according to their store hours, but 9:45 pm according to the rude hostess I just talked to. Okay…

I love this place for its fantastic sushi rolls, great prices and very attentive waitstaff. Also nice relaxing atmosphere where I can meet clients and actually hear each other talk during weekdays. The new management is definitely a big improvement and I can tell they have made a lot of changes. Specials taste great and they even let me try a new special roll the chef invented and it was YUM! I DEFINITELYRECOMMENDTRYING!

Unilocal should offer a no-star rating, instead of 1 star being their lowest. Came here with some friends, who I reminded that there is a reason the other Chaucer locations have closed. This is the same formula: Sushi is a club atmosphere, amongst loud music and people dancing. It is obvious sushi is NOT their main focus from the get go, but just in case you order any food, you will then have no doubt. There are a lot a good sushi restaurants that offer a pleasant atmosphere and good service, so in the future, no Chaucers for me.

Came here for the first time for Mother’s Day, soft lighting and soft music for the afternoon lunch time. Appearance is clean and staff is really nice! Gave me a 25% discount for coming on Mother’s Day! Ordered the salmon, yellowtail 2 piece sushi, they were really fresh and good! Unfortunately the tamago(egg) sushi was not good. The Spider roll and salmon roll was good also! Overall good atmosphere and food!

The service is always terrible when I’m here, very slow staff comes even slower time for our food to arrive. When it does, it has always been WAY too sweet(who makes spicy tuna super sweet?) and way too greasy. I saw a flyer saying that there was new management so I decided to give them another try and to make sure what hours they were open and after ATLEAST5 calls, nobody picked up, no place to leave a voicemail, and suffice to say, nobody returned our calls. Bad service and bad food. Maybe I’ll give this place a try in the future but for now, I’ll have lunch and dinner elsewhere.

Great sushi! The chef made some pepper tuna for me even though it wasn’t on the menu. The spider roll was amazing as well. Service was terrible though(Jamie). My coworker and I were LITERALLY the only two people in the whole place but she managed to forget ½ my order. «My name is Jamie so let me know if you need anything.» Then she goes to the back and I have to go talk to the sushi chef for everything. He got a cash tip but she got nothing… except my coworker tossed $ 1 on the table to show her how much she failed. Glad I asked her if the chef was still working on my spider roll or I would still be waiting for her to put it in the computer! I mean, ONEFREAKINGTABLE, and she still couldn’t handle it. Split the stars 60/40, all three stars to the chef and zero to the server. She needs to stick with being a hostess because carrying the menus was the only thing she got right. Also, black jeans with five huge holes is not even worn at McDonald’s. I recommend sitting at the sushi bar for anyone that goes here.

I like to go for a quiet lunch to myself, sitting at the sushi bar. The atmosphere is relaxing, trendy — it’s obviously a club in the evening. The presentation is fantastic, and the last time I went(last week) they had the fishing channel on the tv in the sushi bar, and I couldn’t stifle a chuckle. Great little sushi place, though I’ve had better, I am a regular.

Went to lunch Friday at noon. Ordered at 1210 left at 110 without any food, we couldn’t wait anymore. Slow slow slow service! Will definitely NOT go again. We ended up at suzushi sushi down the block and was in/out in 30 – 45 min with amazing sushi.

Normally I don’t write reviews, but this place was so good to me that I felt like I had to! I got the tuna salsa roll and it was delicious. We also got a bulgogi dish but I wasn’t a huge fan. I do think that food is a bit pricey. Personally I would stick to the sushi at this place. We were celebrating 3 birthdays that night and they gave us each a free drink and took care us very well. From what I understand the restaurant is under new management and I think they are doing a pretty good job. I had never been to the old Chaucers so I can’t compare to what it was like before. The wait staff was also really sweet and fun to talk to! We had a couple complications with the bill. But It is difficult to handle a huge table and people going in and out. For the month of March they’ll be doing 50% all menu items. Can’t wait to come back. Go early if you don’t like to dine with loud music. They have a DJ come in at 10pm.

I don’t know why I even bothered to come back here but I did. The bartender was very nice but the sushi was horrible we ordered 3 for 10 the California roll, Louisiana roll and a firecracker roll. We came on a Sunday and this place was completely dead nobody was there. The sushi is not good here.

This place needs a female touch!!! You can tell it’s all male management, décor, and the waitresses look like strippers! I doubt daytime business is good hire a woman and put some class in the place. Otherwise the sushi special is good. I just wouldn’t know because the atmosphere is not my thing.

It’s improved but they need more bartenders on busy nights and wait staff to be more quicker. Drinks are pricey but the dj is cool.

A lot has improved since last time. Lunch specials are back. Get 3 basic rolls for 10, or 1 special roll for 10. Service is much improved. They are professional and know what they’re doing. I hear this place get pretty insane during the night time on weekends so I’ll keep this review strictly about lunch.

Atypical Japanese restaurant that has a nice little dance floor. Dancing some nights but would call to find out exactly which days. The food was good but not impressed. The sushi chef was the asian guy with the multi-colored hair. Rolls were sloppy. Sorry I love Jap food and I hate it when it’s not prepared up to Jap standards. Waitstaff service was excellent. Martini ok… too coconutty for my taste. The tuna tower was ok… a little too spiced up for me. I love to taste my raw fish. Octopus sashimi nothing to rave about. I did not take photos of the rolls. They looked so unprofessionally done. There are supposedly other chefs that are better than the one present when we were there. Bummer.
