So bummed. First time ever I was disappointed with my order here. I normally wouldn’t write a review for ONE bad order, but it was fairly gross. I ordered roast pork with cashew nuts, like I’ve ordered in the past, but this time 90% of the roast pork was ALL gummy, slimy fat!!! I really think they must have mistakenly used a pile of fat scraps instead of the roast pork to make my order.. Won’t order this dish here again if I return.

I’ve had the General Tso chicken here and it was very good. I have also ordered the beef and broccoli which I did not eat because it smelled awful and you can find better cheesesteaks elsewhere.

When my cousin told me about this place made cheesesteaks I thought it was kind of weird for a Chinese carry to do that but anyway and it was pretty good. I would definitely come back for the cheesesteak again

Yummy General Tso’s Tofu! This is only carry out, so don’t expect a delivery option! They’re always friendly and the food I’ve gotten has always been good!

After ordering here the first time, my husband and I went back many more times. The food still tastes just as good but we have ordered there at least a dozen more times and more than half of those times, one or more items were missing. I have even asked the checkout employee to repeat my order back to me and I have resorted to checking the bag before I leave because it happened so often. We were charged for these items and never received them. After calling the place to complain, we never received any compensation. This was a chronic issue and they had no intention of keeping us as a customer. It’s unfortunate because we really liked the food but it isn’t worth paying for food we never receive. I don’t think it’s ever OK for a customer to have to always check to make sure they received what they paid for. It wouldn’t be as big of a deal if the place was apologetic and offered some sort of compensation for the items we never received but they were dismissive and unhelpful.

This place is our go to chinese place in the neighborhood! It is your typical hole in the wall type Chinese food but man is it delicious. Our favorites are the General Tso’s, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Beef Lo Mein, and Beef and Broccoli! These are all really yummy, fresh, and the portions are huge!

Let’s be totally and completely real: no matter how much of a foodie you are, you sometimes just want some cheap junky Chinese food. That’s totally OK. And this place is too. Andy’s Carry Out has no pretenses. No tables, no fanciness, just a big relatively empty joint with reasonably priced entrees and a place to order. This is in a very Hispanic shopping center, and the lady at the counter appeared to be bi–(tri-?) lingual. Nothing appeared dirty, but nothing was super sparkling, either. All I can say is, the kitchen looked clean, and that’s all I gave a crap about. I got the sesame chicken because I was a manchild, and it was actually quite good. There was plenty of food, it was well cooked, the meat quality was decent, the sauce wasn’t overwhelming, and the rice was fresh and warm. This isn’t really even remotely close to high-end cuisine in any possible respect — this is a stone’s throw away from fast food in every way — but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Again, let’s be super, super clear: this is not«real» Chinese food, this is not as good as your favorite place back home, this is not going to knock your socks off, and you will probably get fat eating here. But that’s okay. You go here for cheap junky American Chinese food, and if you want that, this place is a decent choice.

The food was awful. I am only giving them 2 stars because I remember getting food here in my early 20s and liking it(must have been drunk and/or stoned.) Maybe the regular cooks took off for xmas eve… My pregnant wife wanted egg rolls and our regular spot(Peking Gourmet) had a 2 hour carry-out wait. The egg rolls were cooked too long so the shell was thick and hard plus to top it off we found celery in the egg roll. The orange chicken was so chewy and over cooked that only half of it was edible and that half was a workout for my jaw. The sweet and sour soup was a bit bland but it was by far the best of the items we ordered.

I don’t know what all these good reviews are about. I have been here for 20 years looking for a Chinese joint that can match the Chinese food of my youth in NY/NJ. Based upon these reviews, I drove way out of my way to try this place. Spring roll was good. Egg drop soup was good. The thing that makes so much of the Chinese food around here horrible is the chicken! It seems to be some mix of plastic and fish meal. What happened to real chicken? I hate that the only place I can find real chicken is at PF Changs. Chinese food is supposed to come from a family run joint — not from a chain! If one Chinese guy from NY would move to DC and make here what he makes there, he would be a millionaire! Maybe the suppliers here don’t offer real chicken as an option?

The General Tso’s was great! the chicken was really flaky and juicy and the sauce was spicy but not too spicy. I wish they delivered, but still worth it if you’re in the area and want to have take-out. The service was fair, the lady was nice to us.

This is the perfect place when you want Chinese food but don’t want to go to a restaurant or go far to get it. The little shopping center it is in looks a bit run down but is a work in progress. I have tried a few carry out places down the Pike and this is the best. The food is good and is cooked fast. They have a huge menu and have the typical selections. Rice, chicken, lo mien it is all good. The soups are not as good but if you buy enough food they sometimes throw that in for free.

5 stars for fast, tasty, and cheap All-American Chinese food. I’ve lived in the neighborhood for over 10 years and Andy’s has been around for as long as I can remember. It’s not a fancy place, nor is the service very good, but you get what a lot for what you pay for. Tasty lo mein, moist and flavorful sesame chicken, mouthwatering fried rice — that is, if you enjoy the hidden treasure of American cuisine known as take-out Chinese food. Andy’s has a decked-out menu with all of the typical favorites and even has sandwiches and wings. If you come around from 11−3PM, you can even try their dirt cheap lunch specials for fewer than six dollars. I’ve had some not-so-good experiences with Andy’s(namely, their soups and the always god-awful Egg Foo Young and Chop Suey), but they do good on the Chinese take-out name and they’ve always managed to save my stomach from starvation on those nights when making dinner seems impossible.

I was really on the fence — but I had to take the plunge and give this place the 5 Star treatment. It’s not because it’s nice inside; it isn’t. It’s awful. It’s a little bit dirty, and the signs advertising their specials are just printer paper — stained with what looks to be coffee — affixed to the wall with scotch tape. It’s not the service. Although fast, nobody working here seems to be having a great day when you walk in and order — and they will likely bring your day down a notch or two with their attitude. But, fret not! You’ll rise a few notches when you get you bill. Because it is so. dirt. CHEAP. You can get mountains off food here for super reasonable prices — you can eat for days with the right combination. And you know what else? The food is great. It is excellent. It is so good, your taste buds will kick your balls out through your ass. Even the sandwiches are awesome! Seriously, I love this place. Granted, since it’s about 200 feet from my front door, I may have some additional reasons to love it more than the usual takeout joint. Highly recommend, will be back.
