Crushes delivery. I get chicken kabob and the man does lamb. Consistently good. Quick delivery. We are full and generally have left overs for the next day. If you want really good Friday night stay in food — this is the spot.

The lentils were hella amazing. The cauliflower and eggplant curries are also pretty badass. The hummus is like watered down baby food. I don’t know how I feel about that.

Tried ordering delivery from them, and it started snowing. Had to call them a hour and a half after I placed my order to find out the delivery guy was still a half hour away, so they cancelled my order. Wish I had ordered from someplace more reliable, instead I’m eating TV dinner lasagna.

This review is strictly for my one experience ordering home delivery. I have eaten at Afghan Kabob many times, enjoy the Bollywood music videos and drinking the free chai. The food is okay and they are open till late, it’s a win win situation. I decided to order delivery from them tonight at 7:15 pm. I ordered the Chopan kabob and asked them to make sure that it is not burnt. After an hour, I got the food. only, it was a gyro wrap. I immediately called them however they already knew of the situation and asked me to accept the wrap complimentary while they prepare and send out my chopan kabob. Till that point, they handled the situation very well– they were polite and apologetic. However, after this, things went down hill: the food arrived in about 40 minutes however the driver demanded payment. I explained the situation to him and was surprised that he hadn’t be informed. He said he would have to go back to his car and call them to confirm, which I was okay with. When I opened the box, the chick peas had spilt in the bag and the chopan kabob was completely burnt. I don’t understand how they can offer such food to a customer and am very disappointed because I wasted $ 20 on nothing. Wrong order, burnt food and a 2 hour wait. It’s not worth it.

I’m a huge kebob fan and not sure why I haven’t discovered this place sooner! This place has generous servings, soft bread, and very tender chicken Kebobs(haven’t tried anything else). Also the spinach is a great side(much better than the cauliflower!). If you are in the area I would HIGHLY recommend this place for delivery — literally get my meal in 20 mins or less everytime. You can’t beat that!

I love this place! Really delicious and affordable considering how much food they give you. Also, free delivery and fast delivery(in my experience)!!! Meat is really tender and flavorful, sides are really tasty and not too spicy.

Stumbled upon this place because it was only place open after 8 pm on New Year’s. I ordered the kabob combo with lamb and grilled chicken. The lamb was hard to chew but tasted fine, and the grilled chicken was pretty good. With the combo, you also get to choose what rice you want from the 4 options available, and I went with the yellow rice, which was delicious. Then you get to choose between hummus or salad. I got the hummus, which was a bit too watery. Next you decide on sauces, and I got the medium and spicy ones. The spicy sauce is pretty hot fyi. You also get a vegetable side, and I chose half cauliflower and half eggplant, both were good. Lastly they give you afghan naan which was very large. It would be better if some garlic was infused in it. Overall, it wasn’t that great and fairly pricey, but you do get a good amount of food.

I’ve been ordering from this place for a few years, and I enjoy their food — filling, pretty healthy for the most part, and pretty reasonably priced for the portions. But they really cut down on the portion size, abruptly, sometime in the last few months. A single order of hummus shrunk by at least 50% and maybe a lot more — same with a lot of the other side dishes, from what I can tell. I still like the place, but I’ll probably order from them a lot less often since they’ve reduced the portion sizes so massively. I could understand small decreases, or price increases, but I don’t understand why they’d cut the size by more than 50% all of a sudden. EDIT: I’ve increased my star rating to 4. The restaurant contacted me in a very friendly manner and offered me a refund, explaining that they are testing new containers to be more environmentally conscious. They told me they will consider lowering the prices of side dishes to reflect the smaller size containers. I believe this is a positive response in customer relations, and I plan to continue being a customer. Great food and great treatment of customers!

The gyro was tender and flavorful. I didn’t like the fact they charge for feta cheese but oh well. The sandwich was a decent size. Nothing spectacular. L

AKB is a great place to grab lunch with co-workers, or for a quick bite to go.

This place totally sucks. Not worth the money. I’m middle eastern and guarantee you, it is the worst place to try. 40 bucks for two awful dishes. Flys were everywhere, just close your mouth!!!

I love service with a smile. It really does make my day and the afghan kabob house definitely delivered. I had the Greek salad with dark meat chicken kabob. It came with a side of afghan man. The gyro meat was nicely spiced, but a little on the dryer side. It was still delicious though. The dark meat chicken kabob was super moist and also very yummy. All in all the salad was a welcome treat, but a little heavy on the red onions. I went trough a great deal of mouthwash after lunch.

It was 2 in the morning and I was hungry and tired and I needed something nice. My friend from Arlington said this was the place to order from. We placed a delivery order for the Combo Kebab, Lamb Kebab and the Chicken wings. The food arrived on time, still hot. The food tasted decent without being amazing. We were really thankful that they were open at that hour and the on time delivery. If I find myself hungry in the middle of the night in Arlington, I will order from them again.

As I sit here super fool of amazing food, I can’t help but think of how no matter how much I plan to ‘eat slower’ or ‘stop when I’m full,’ it isn’t going to happen if I order from here again. The food is really good. Additionally there are TONS of options to choose from. Added bonus: they deliver! and quick too! Today I ordered the lamb and boneless chicken kabobs. Additionally it came with some chickpeas, rice, a small salad, and some naan. For future reference, the salad was absolutely gross looking all the lettuce was at least brown on the edges and most waaaay more than that. Next time I won’t even mess with the pretense, checkmate restaurant. Everything else: A+! I’m so full right now I don’t think I could eat another bite of anything, but if it was in front of me I’d try. Like kabobs and such? Order from this place, you wont be disappointed!

I ordered the combo kabob with one boneless chicken breast kabob, one lamb kabob, spinach rice, sides of eggplant and hummus, and tzatziki sauce. It came with a huge piece of naan. The hummus was watery but everything else was very flavorful and filling.

Went here for Sat dinner. It was my first time trying Afghani food. I’m a big fan of Pakistani and Indian food so I knew I would like it. My biggest fear with any kabob place is overcooked kabobs. My beef kabobs were pretty good– could’ve been a little under but I was happy with it. For $ 15 you got that, a side of bread, and 3 sides. I couldn’t believe the sides included meat curries! And I’m not talking about little tiny unidentifiable meat but huge chunks of lamb and chicken. Well unfortunately the lamb in the curry was way overcooked but still impressed it was a side. The spinach was underseasoned for my taste but it sounds like that’s the way Afghani spinach should be? The eggplant was delicious! I would get that again for sure. My friends said that the kofta and bone-in chicken was fantastic. The customer service was good. It was clean. I liked that they had a variety of ice tea as beverage choices. It teeters on 3 – 4 stars for me but I’m likely to return if in the area so I think that bumps it up. Btw there are 2 big plasmas showing Bollywood-style music videos the whole time and I couldn’t take my eyes off of it. Totally unrelated to the food but I had no idea how risqué those videos were!

I was staying down the street at a hotel for business and looked on Unilocal(where else!!) for some restaurant suggestions. This one popped up and the reviews seemed good, so I give it a shot. I love me some kebabs and this place was tasty! The process of coming in and ordering was a little confusing but the guy at the register directed me on where to order and gave me a recommendation too! A kebab meal with bread, 2 sides and a can of Coke ran over $ 16. A bit pricy IMHO. No table service… order it, wait for your number to be called, go up and finish building the meal by selecting your sides. Gotta buss your own table too. The seating area was very clean and a lady was cleaning tables with 409 spray when I arrived so that’s a good sign as to how they likely keep the back of the house. I was told the wait was 10 minutes but food came out agyer 15 minutes and it wasn’t that busy, although I heard the phone ringing off the hook. I could see they were preparing all food as it was ordered so freshness was great. Food was very flavorful; salad was cold and meat was hot. Totally worth the visit and a tasty, flavorful alternative!

This is a great place to eat, the food is delicious and inexpensive. My girlfriend and I are frequent visitors. We usually get the Vegetarian Platter, you can get upto 4 different veggies with 1 bread and rice. It’s delicious and can easily fill 2 people from 1 plate. Well worth your money. There are always people at this restaurant at any gjven time. They are open late on most nights which is very convenient. We usually get the Groupon deal which is an excellent offer. I can’t wait to eat here again! Love this place!
