This is my sister’s parish and sometimes I’ll come with her to Mass here. Fr. Claudio and Fr. Javier are outstanding and speak full of the Holy Spirit. The parish is economically lower class, but it’s amazing to see such devotion to the Blessed Sacrament, that you don’t see much elsewhere. Some people actually out of respect for the Blessed Sacrament, walk backwards in the aisle. They have many unique minstries, including faith formation for youth, an all men’s and youth Eucharistic Nocturnal Adoration groups. Sometimes, they offer fellowship with Mexican chocolate milk and pan ducle(Mexican sweet bread) after Mass. I took my niece to one of the 9 nights they offered a Posada before Christmas and they were so generous for each child! The priests are wonderful speakers and really enjoy their ministry. We also did a pilgrimage from the parish to Des Plaines for The Virgin of Guadalupe’s Feast Day in December. That was a lot of fun and so cool to see a lot of young people participating. The parishoners are very humble and very reverent. If you don’t mind the mostly spanish language Mass, it’s very beautiful. Just keep in mind that, for linguistic reasons, Mass tends to go longer than English Masses. It’s a great place if you’re bilingual and are looking for a parish.
