Excellent food. very quiet place and the service was great. we ordered seafood pancake, dumplings, soondabu, wonton soup, OB, and sake. everything was very tasty. banchan is the best part of korean dinner and they had a good selection there. the seafood pancake wasnt as cripsy as i like but still amazing. we ordered a lot of food and drinks and it did not break the bank. soondabu was my favorite. best thing to have in the winter. i would definitely go back and try more dishes.

We had a party of 8 that made reservations for my uncle’s birthday. We gave plenty of time for the reservation. A WEEK notice. The day comes around, we all meet there… and THEYWERECLOSED… at 5pm! The lights were off, doors locked, everything. We tried calling multiple times and nobody answered. We stood outside and waited for 30 min, hoping someone would show up or answer or open the door or SOMETHING. We had to leave and go somewhere else last minute, during rush hour. If they were going to be closed, I wish they woulda called us and let us know! We finally got ahold of them the next day and they said they were open(which was a lie because we were standing right outside the whole time). From talking to other people, we aren’t the only ones that had this issue. Turns out the chef is gone from the restaurant so everything has gone down hill. Now they have bad food, bad service, and they open and close whenever they please. That’s unfortunate because this place used to be awesome. Oh well.

Came here with my family the previous week. My kids loved the food. The hen soup is just like how my mother in law makes it my wife says. The service was fast that day. Even with one person serving. The guy was attentive, but as they are getting busier, they need more help. Food is good so we came back. We are here again on a Friday and it is busy. Word seemed to have traveled about this place. A 2nd person is helping now, but they are slow to give the side dishes. My wifes family is Korean… so they are gonna judge it accordingly. Ok. So my sister in law says their preparation on the dishes that go on the propane is poor. The vegetables are fresh not steamed and prepped ahead of time, and the bulgogi is frozen… OK. Everything just went downhill… the hen soup we ordered… they went out to go get it as i ordered. Like an hour later, it comes and the hen is not thoroughly cooked all the way thru. I do not want to be mean. But they are not ready for the capacity they have in that place. I see that this is an owner trying to make it, but I hope they learn from today. I understand the owner might not have the capital to take the risks. I really hope they make it. If you are gonna come here, suggestion is to let them know ahead of time so they are ready for it. I hope the owner sees this post and try and get the people to call ahead of time, so they give the best possible meal and service. This isn’t a corporate joint, so I am very understanding… But they need to improve on the experience if they want to continue getting more people to come back. They do have good food. I’ll end it at that.

I read the reviews and I had to check it out for myself so the four of us went and ordered fried man doo, Kim chi chi gae, dolsup bi bim bap, gin seng chicken and gam ja tang. Everything was really good. Being korean myself, I was a little skeptical since another korean reviewer said the Kim chi chi gae was too salty. I’m so picky when it comes to Kim chi chi gae but I was pleasantly surprised how good it was, very flavorful and yummy. Everyone enjoyed their food and good portions too! I’m shocked how the place was so empty. If you want very good Korean food, go here! Now! Other reviewers stated how bad the service was but I thought it was good. Believe me, as korean going to lots of korean restaurants, they are not known for their service. So this restaurant was above the rest.

Last Saturday night after read all that review, we decided To try this recently open place. Got there around 6pm and found only 2 tables occupied. I ordered spicy pork pulkoki because they don’t have the famous Korean dish called Bulkoki. And my friend ordered spicy squid. Before that I want some fried dumplings but waiter said All ran out??? Waiter was very attentive and only the one there doing e everything. Later I found that only 1 lady who is owner is cooking in the kitchen. There was no to go menu, 2TV on the wall was off, sat there till 8pm and no one show up for dinning. I felt so bad to this place and I gave few important tips to them as former restaurant manager for decade. But food was good and that was enough for that night. I gave 4 * for food only. They needs lot’s of Improvement overall…

Excellent. Just plain excellent. I ordered the Kimchi chi jjigae, and it was delicious. Everything tasted so fresh, the spice level was perfect, the pork belly was tender. Not a single complaint! My husband ordered the bulgogi, and it too was fabulous! The banchan was a nice variety of well done dishes. The owner told us the make it fresh in the morning every day, and it tastes like it!

Went here with my wife on a Monday for lunch. I forgot what it was called, but we had this amazing pork belly and octopus stew and also bibimbap. Our waitress was kind enough to help us cook the stew at our table. Their servings are very generous and the food is fresh and delicious. The side dishes were fresh and tasty. My wife and I left very full and still had left over stew. I looking forward to coming back and try out their other menu items. It’s been a few days since we’ve been there and my mouth still waters when I think of that stew ;p

I drove past this place a few nights ago and with my love of Korean foods, I had to go. I am no expert in Korean food but it is my favorite food. The interior is nice and clean. The service is a bit slow but that is sorta the usual for the suburbs and ethnic restaurants. It was pretty empty when I went there but the food still kinda came out slow. That’s okay. Not a big deal. I heard about their Cornish hen soup and I wanted to try that. Never had it before. //Goon Mandoo — $ 7.95 — I loved loved loved this dish. The dumplings were order fried and were perfect. Not sure what they were stuffed with but so good. Definitely would come back for it. Crunchy outside with a soft tender inside. //Sam-Gye-Tang — $ 14.99 — this is a big ass soup with a whole Cornish hen in it. It’s pretty hot(temperature). The hen is stuff with some sort of fruit.(I thought it was a heart but after it afterwards. It was good, juicy) I really enjoyed the rice at the bottom of the bowl. They give you some salt and pepper mix on the side because the soup comes out bland a bit. I added half and loved it. The hen stayed hot the whole time which was nice but initially it was too hot to eat. The meat stayed tender and it was plentiful. All in all this place is good and worth a try. I want Togo back to try some of their other dishes. They have a spicy octopus plate that looks scrumptious.

As a Korean raised in Korean culture, I usually prefer home cooked Korean meals rather than eating out. When I think of Korean restaurants, I assume the occasion is for Korean bbq. However, this restaurant isn’t much of a bbq place, which is nice if you don’t want to leave smelling like garlic and beef. The interior is thus very clean– given it’s brand new– and not smelly for an Asian restaurant. As for the food, the banchan(side dishes) are pretty good, especially the gutchuri(a certain kind of Kim chi). The dolsot bibimbap was pretty standard– you usually can’t go wrong with this dish. The Kim chi jjigae was too salty for my taste, though. Even diluted with rice, it wasn’t very good. Overall, not the best Korean food but a nice clean place to eat if you’re in the mood.
