I normally eat authentic Chinese food in China Town or Sang Kee but I also crave fast Chinese American food for lunch. Their lunch specials are ridiculously reasonable — most under $ 6, large portions(I eat half and save the other half for lunch the next day). My favorite entrée is the king pao chicken. About 2 cups of diced chicken that has a great texture from the cornstarch and lots of fillings — green peppers, celery, carrots, water chestnuts, baby corn, mushrooms and peanuts. The sauce is flavorful(not too spicy) neither watery nor thick and not salty. Bonus– you get about 2 cups of rice and also an egg roll or soda. The styrofoam lunch container weighs about 2 lbs! Other Kung Pao Chicken entrees I’ve eaten in the Havertown/Ardmore are watery, no flavor and a ton of celery and peanuts. The other reason I give 5 stars is their delivery– food came in 20 minutes plus no surcharge and friendly delivery person. I will try to be adventurous next time I order and try another lunch special but I’m addicted to the Kung pao chicken. They also have PIZZA Rolls!!! So hard to find on other menus — they are delicious! I vote Pak Yue to be THE best carry out Chinese American carry out in the Havertown/Ardmore area.

P a k Y u e isn’t too far from my house, we frequent this establishment quite often in fact. THE G O O D: Flavorful dishes prepared when you call it in. Big menu with plenty of options. Fast service no long waits for your food. Friendly staff. THE B A D: Most of the staff smokes so depending on how busy they are often time you need to wade through a cloud of cigarette smoke just trying to get into the door. THE U G L Y: One of the drivers that worked for them while parking the car nearly backed into my wife as we were trying to walk into the Japanese restaurant next door. No apology, not even an acknowledgement of what happened. –actually kind of mad about that one.

Our go to place each week for Chinese food with the kids. They don’t like any of the other fancier Chinese restaurants in the area. We just get the basics but they live it. Always get wonton soup, boneless spare ribs, chicken fried rice, Chinese pizza, pork lo mein and an order of moo shoo pancakes(without the moo shoo). Kids love to wrap up the food in the pancakes Owners are real nice. Always giving us free two liters or smaller drinks for the kids.

Very good Chinese food that delivers. I think maybe one time I was disappointed with my order but not enough to keep me away. It’s also nice they don’t give me the«must be $ 15 to use credit card or deliver» speech which many Chinese restaurants do. I recommend this place.

I’m giving this place 5 stars for what it is… EXCELLENT take-out or delivered chinese food. We moved to Ardmore in Dec 2014. We have had Pak Yue 8 times since then. Everything we have ever ordered has been solid, they have a nice staff and fast/nice delivery service — great combination ;) We are thrilled to be so close to good chinese. Do not move!

Standards have been slipping at Pak Yue for some time now, but recently I ordered«Chinese Mushrooms and Bean Curd,» a dish that in the past featured deliciously stir-fried shiitake mushrooms. Today, it was rough chunks of white button mushrooms floating in a foul-smelling broth. Yuck. The meat in my Orange Beef was stringy, dry, and tough. I ate two pieces and gave up. They should have called it Orange Beef Jerky. Yuck. Never again!

Had a Chinese food craving and ended up her on a Tuesday night. Since I’m one of those folks who put much stock in appearances, I was immediately put off by the dirty floor, scattered tables and children(of the owner I guess) sitting on one of tables(with their feet on it) watching a movie on a DVD player. My order took much longer than I thought it would so by the time I got home I wasn’t really hungry anymore. What I did eat was fine. nothing special. I would probably eat from there again but wouldn’t go out of my way for this particular place.

This is my FAVORITE place to order from. The food is so good yet so inexpensive. We get it at my house all the time!

You know how all Chinese delivery is always pretty much the same — only difference is whether it actually tastes good and how much actual chicken is in it, as opposed to that weird bread-like filler? Well, this place is no different except that they are easily THEBEST on that long list of Chinese delivery you’ve had in your life. Seriously it is very good. I’m not telling you that you’re gonna get some magical 5-star philly cuisine from a foreign land. I’m telling you that you are gonna get the cheap, greasy, awesome tasting Chinese takeout you’ve always wanted, and always will. And you’ll love it. Enjoy!

Pak Yue has very cheap, decent Chinese food. I haven’t tried that many dishes, but the ones I have tried have all been pretty yummy. The reason to go to this place over other nearby cheap chinese restaurants(which I have found to be terrible) is the generous employees/owners. I’m a poor college student on spring break, meaning the dining center is closed and I have nowhere to get free food. My boyfriend and I both have very little money at the moment, so we decided to order some Pak Yue for dinner the other night. When I went to pick it up the restaurant did not take American Express, which is my only credit card. I tried to pay with a couple of debit cards but they would not go through, and I had no cash. I was about to give up and leave without my dinner, when the woman behind the counter smiled and said, «You’ll pay next time!» Not only did she give me my food for free, but she did it with a smile and no semblance of spite. I’m so gracious to her for her generosity, and plan on returning frequently to Pak Yue to repay the debt.

My family and I ordered chinese take out from Pak Yue recently. We chose it based on the good Unilocal reviews on here compared to other chinese places in the area. It did not disappoint. The food was all very tasty, the portion sizes were good, it came with a lot of free extras, and the price was right. The dinner combo packages are a fantastic deal and there is tons of variety! I will definitely be ordering from Pak Yue again!

This is the best chinese food restaurant I have ever went to. I will always come back to Ardmore just to have my favorite general tso chicken and fried crab cheese wontons. Fast service as well.

Egg rolls. Hot and sour soup. Chicken chow fun. 12 dollars for 2 people. This place is great. Try it!

This is our go-to Chinese restaurant in the area. The food is consistently good, the prices are cheap, and the delivery is fast. Given the food that we have had from the place I would guess it has changed hands a couple of times, or at least changed chefs. It used to be 5 stars, had a rough phase and settled into a solid 4 stars. One note, if you do take out they make it when you get there, so it is hot, but you have to wait. We always prefer delivery from here. Our favorites: Buddha’s Delight, Singapore Noodles, Doughnuts(I know it is crazy but they are unbelievable)

Ok Sometimes you dont want anything fancy just a good chinese-american take out food. Pak Yue doesn’t disappoint. All you have to come to expect from a chinese take out place is here but i think they do it better than most. When i need my fix of something fried doused with some oyster sauce on top of it this is the place for me. Yummers

Sometimes I think Chinese restaurants are attempting to take over the world or at the very least my neighborhood! These folks are a mile from my home and I could easily visit four competitors. So this place is takeout only. There is street parking that is sometimes tough so most folks cheat a little and park for free at the train station directly across the street. When I walk in the folks are always friendly. Something I really like is that the space is arranged so that it’s easy to watch them cook your food. The menu is solid with all the expected choices at competitive prices. My order has always been packaged well. So what about the food? I’ve never had a bad item. Portion size has been fine and nothing has been excessively oily or greasy. If you’re in the area and have a craving for some takeout this is a solid three star place.

Pak Yue has been sold to new owners. The food is definitely not up to par. Wonton Soup is bland. Egg rolls soggy. Our main courses lacked flavor. I’d go somewhere else!

Great chinese take-out; huge portions and very reasonable priced. I would come here more often but it isn’t close to my house and I end up going to Sang Kee(and regretting it– see my review about Sang Kee’s take-out which is the opposite experience of their food if you dine in). Anyway maybe Pak Yue will open up another location closer to me. I can dream because sometimes dreams do come true.

Best Chinese in the suburbs! Unsure where one reviewer was, but this place is not expensive, and the people are fine, sometimes VERY busy and I would go there even if they were yelling at me. The food is that good. Favorites: My kids love the Honey Chicken — good alternative to Sweet and Sour Chicken, same concept only Honey sauce is tastier and the chicken is perfectly fried. The lo meins and fried rice dishes are the best — fresh ingredients and freshly made, not an afterthought like most places. The hot and sour soup and the house special soup is very very good. Cons: Not much seating, no baby seats. I would suggest take out.

This is my top choice for chinese food in my area. OMG the Chicken Fried Rice has chicken in EVERY bite! Everything is good here for the most part. The servers are friendly and respectful and the service is fast. Parking can sometimes be an issue. This is basically a chinese take out spot so I don’t know if it’s worthy of a Pro Vs. Con breakdown. Overall I give them a 8 out of 10!
