I like and I buy very expensive shoes, but I choose classic styles and take good care of them and wear them for a long time. I needed to have new soles put on a pair of dress shoes, and decided to give George’s a try. In short — friendly, knowledgeable, competent, helpful staff; timely performance, beautiful work, fair prices. Not sure what more you could ask from a business. Even if you pay the same amount for a pair of your shoes as you do for a rubber paw for your premium SUV, no need to fear. These guys will take care of you. Recommended A+++

I really like Kenneth Cole shoes, but every pair I’ve owned the heels are first to go. George’s put a new heel in that looked as good as new. This heel has lasted longer than the original. I may stop buying KC shoes, but I won’t stop going to George’s.

I am in the 1974 KISS Tribute Band «Rock And Roll All Nite» we present a Concert Show of Vintage KISS, Including wearing 7″ Platform Boots. My Boots were damage at our last show, so I needed the repaired. I found «George’s» not far from My Used Music Shop. I called Luke gave me a «rough» estimate. I took them in on a Thurs & they were ready by Sat, as they promised for the lower estimate quoted to me. We will be sending our Bass Player’s Boots to them This week for repair.
Luke informed me he is the 4th generation to be working in his Great Grandfather’s Shoe Repair Business. I will not consider Anyone else after this very positive experience !

It’s so nice to have a family business that’s lasted so many years. I moved to this area two years ago and was so happy to find a shoe repair store. I tend to find a great pair of heels for work then wear them down to the nail, not to mention the many scuffs and marks that show up.
I brought them in and the worker (the son or grandson of the original owner) gave me many options, which felt good because I was nervous I would just get the strong sales pitch and have to pay a bundle. I ended up choosing a more expensive repair ($ 40ish) because I loved the shoes and didn’t wan to shop for another pair.
They lasted through the winter/​spring months and I’m going into the next school yet with them an they look great. Still haven’t had to go shoe shopping! I highly recommend them!

I wish I could give George’s a sixth star. Their work is excellent, the service is fast and friendly, they take credit cards, have free parking and will email you when your shoes are ready (usually 2 – 3 days). It’s also a family owned business. The work is absolutely perfect. I can’t say enough about this place – drive out if you need your shoes cleaned or repaired!

I brought a pair of boots that had been mangled and destroyed by another shoe repair. George’s shoe repair was recommended by a high end department store but after what the other cobbler did, I wasn’t very hopeful. I thought my beloved boots were ruined. Boy was I wrong! They repaired the damage and now my boots are in pristine condition. I am elated! I will never trust any other repair shop in Minnesota. I am now a customer for life!

I had a really worn pair of Birkenstocks that were in dire shape but the style can no longer be found. I tried to get the repair shop in my hometown of Rochester to repair them and was told by their owner (the store in Rochester) that «it wasn’t worth the effort» and «why would you want these fixed anyway?» Despondent, I thought I would drive 100 miles and go to George’s shop with my sandals.
The worker at George’s thoroughly explained the work involved in repairing the shoe and the time it would take to get the shoe bed. It was worth the wait and the time! I loved these shoes before and love them even more now! When I put them on my feet I remember why I loved them so!
Thank you, George’s, for the time and effort you put into fixing my shoes! The quality of your workmanship is superb!

I come here couple times to get my shoes repaired. The cobblers (I think that’s what it is called), shoe repairmen always do a great job. It does take about a week to get them back, and most of the time you have to prepaid if they are easily repaired. If your shoes are in a bad shape, they usually give you advices and estimate the prices right away. Trust me, they won’t rip you off. They are trying to help you to repair the shoes that you love that you have been holding on to for sooooo looooooong (talking about myself here)! :) Anyways, the workers are very friendly and helpfuI. And I believe this is a family-​owned business.
Forgot to mention, they not only do shoe repairmen but they also carry selection of quality shoes, including: Ugg Australia, Chippewa Boots, Ecco, New Balance, and many more… check it out!!!
