My family of 3 went the other day for brunch and we had a good experience. The prices are reasonable, the waitress/​cook was very nice, and our breakfast food was very good. We have lived in town for multiple years but we even got looks like, «who are you?» when we came in so be prepared for that. I would not suggest going here if you are in a hurry as the service is slower but they are friendly. They do not take credit cards so make sure you have cash or your checkbook.

Had a tasty club sandwich and tasty cherrie pie. Service was friendly and fast. The stuffed jackalope hanging on the wall made the evening.

I used to love this place as a child. The food was fresh, and the service was nice.
While I would say that the food and service have decreased in quality, I think it is more true to say that they have not improved.
For example: free refills on anything other than water? Nope!
Want to have a party of more than 6? If you dare and you have good luck.
Want to pay with a credit card? You have got to be kidding me!
Want a kids menu? Why would you want that!
Overall on an average day the food (especially for take out) is good. The service is adequate.
