I am quite disappointed with my most recent experience. I came by here with my husband and 2 of our dogs at 2:15 pm for our appointment(you need to make an appointment to come here as they do not like walk ins). Because we had experienced taking photos here before, we asked if we could do a 30 minute session instead of an hour because 1 hour is just too long for us. The person who I made an appointment with over the phone said that was fine. I told her that I would bring my dogs to make sure that was okay and she said that would be. I also told her I would be paying with a gift certificate as well and she said that was fine. Anyways, when we came in, our dogs were happily greeted(we were too) by two female employees(one I believe is the owner/boss). They set up the room for us and we picked up our props and then headed to our room for our session. After our time was up, we were upset and surprised to find out that they charge for pets as people and that we were to pay for a 30 minute session for 4 people instead of 2. They told us that this information is found on their website(which is currently not) but not listed in their studio. They told us this information after I gave them our $ 20 gift certificate that we got a few months ago for posting a photo on my husband’s facebook page when we came the first time. What really upsets me is that no one had ever informed us that our dogs would be charged as people. Someone could have told us when I made the appointment earlier this week or when we walked into the studio before starting our session. They told us after we had already done our session, which is not worth $ 40(which they were nice enough to only charge us $ 30 instead, after the gift certificate, but my husband just wanted to walk out). Especially since we could have easily done this at home ourselves(we took our family photo in our own backyard last year with the same set up of a tripod and camera with remote). I did not appreciate this bait and switch like trick. They made up this additional pet charge because we were using our gift certificate. Honestly, with these prices, I don’t see this place staying in business. And I definitely will not be back(hey, if you want to do a selfie photo shoot, come to my house and I will set it up for you and charge you less).

My long over due review. This place is amazing! This photo studio brings me back memories of high school when we would go to Cues and decorate photos. This place is way better than Cues/other photo studios for the following reason: 1) Photo props(there’s a room filled with cool props and costumes) 2) Spacious rooms that fits large groups 3) You get to keep ALL the photos you want(bring a USB) 4) Creativity(choose your own poses, outfits, etc) 5) No time pressure per photo taken I’m definitely coming back again soon!

Selfie Selfie Photo Studio is a fresh concept that eliminates the photographer and puts the clicker in your hand! With two private studios and a room filled to the brim with fun costumes, you and your friends will have a blast taking all kinds of wacky pictures. In addition, to fun photos, you can also take more serious photos such as wedding, high school senior or head shot style pictures at a dramatically cheaper cost than if you took them with a photographer. After the end of your appointed session, you’ll leave with a flash drive filled with all of the images taken with their state-of-the-art equipment. Located in Arcadia, street parking out front is limited, but you can find plenty of parking in back.

This place has a really innovative idea. Play on the Selfie Vanity craze. So you can take professional photos with any background and lighting at this place. They have tons of props for you to use for free and you can bring your own. Also, you can bring pets! So if you want to have your pet do a photoshoot, the cost is only for you. PRICE: They go by hour and per person. If you have one person, it’s $ 50/hour, 2people $ 30/pp/hr, and so forth, it’s cheaper if you have more people. The price is kinda high but then I think about how much the whole set up with photographer would cost and it’d be a lot more. A lot more. So if you need to do a cheap photoshoot or if you’re Instafamous and need better photos… This is the place. I plan on coming here for my character’s professional Instagram photos. Location: In Arcadia. Tons of parking on the street, you may need to walk if it’s far. In downtown Arcadia. PROPS: They have a wide range of props including a wedding dress, sumo oufits, Mario and Luigi, Captain America’s Shield, hats, basics for photbooths, etc. I brought my own too like my lightsaber and sonic screwdrivers. BACKGROUND: BASIC colors OVERALL: If you want to hide your vanity with professional photos without having an expensive photographer, this a great place. They will give you digital copies. I didn’t ask about prints, but I think everything is digital.

The concept of Selfie Selfie is extremely unique as it is the first photo studio that allows you to take your own high-quality pictures using props and a backdrop. It’s basically like your own gigantic photo-booth except you time when the pictures are taken. The procedure is easy — you come to the studio in a chosen outfit(or bring along a few more to change into), peruse the prop room that is very neatly packed with costumes, outfits, props(such as masks, hats, sunglasses, roses, broomsticks, rings, stuffed animals … the list goes on), settle into 1 of 2 photo rooms, rearrange yourself however you like, get the clicker and start snapping away. The photos are immediately uploaded onto a computer that’s off to the side where the workers will help you load the pictures onto a USB drive that you bring before allowing you to choose which ones you want to print out on their instant photo machine. Because Selfie Selfie is still in its soft opening stage, they offered a promotion of a free 30 minute photo session, and the workers also let me know of a promotion for the following two weeks where hour long photo sessions will be $ 40 instead of $ 80. I was a little hesitant to go crazy at first because I didn’t want to pick out too many props and overwhelm the people who had to clean up after me. I did eventually use a lot of the outfits and whatnot, and I do feel like they make the picture that much more unique. It’s definitely a treasure room filled with props to fit all ages, and I feel like if I bring my parents, they will have as much fun as I did once they start to let go. There are lots of background colors, but I opted to stay with just one since I only had 30 minutes. The room itself contains a camera on a tripod, flash tripods, and a laptop. There’s music playing throughout the studio that gives the place a very relaxed vibe. There are only 2 studio rooms(one for 4 or less people and one bigger room for more than 4 people), so I would recommend calling ahead to make a reservation for a room. There’s also a waiting area in the front where guests can wait for an available room or for the pictures to be loaded onto the USB. Everything was still in the soft opening stages, so no pictures on the walls just yet, but the decorations, fish tank, lights all make the place look really nice and modern. I can definitely see lots of high schoolers and young adults taking advantage of this studio. Price isn’t too expensive, especially if you take advantage of any deals. It’s $ 80 per hour, and if you gather more friends, you can split the price. You also are able to take unlimited pictures in that timeframe, so definitely a win! The girls who helped me were really nice and patient. Their friendly attitude made me want to return. Location is next to Spa Xanadu on Huntington(between First and Santa Anita). There’s parking in front of the store as well as behind the store. tl;dr — A great concept to the photo taking world! Unique, fun and innovative. Reminds me of karaōke, but instead of songs … pictures! I would recommend bringing a few outfits, but also take advantage of their prop room. Definitely will return soon!
