Gary B. Jacobsen, DDS

My family and I have been coming to Dr. Jacobsen for our dentistry since the ‘70s when the office was in Alhambra. We have since moved to Walnut but still are faithful to the friendly, family atmosphere provided by all of the wonderful people that work in the office, led of course by Dr. J!

I have been a patient of Dr. Jacobsen for over 30 years, since I was a teenager. He and his wonderful staff are so professional and are as gentle and patient as can be. I appreciate the way they keep up with the latest methods to keep my teeth healthy and looking their best. My whole family (husband, kids, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins …) comes here. I recommend Dr. Jacobsen without any reservations!

My dentist, Gary Jacobsen DDS and his office have helped to change my dental life.
I am not a «good dental patient». I am fearful and anxious and just stepping into the waiting room freaks me out. This all goes back to the thirteen cavities I had as a child and my childhood dentist who was less than patient and kind. Then there’s the four extractions and the cutting of my gums when I was ten.
I want to never have another cavity. Just going for a check-​up makes me nervous because I’m afraid I’ll hear bad news. I’ve even dreamt my teeth fell out.
Well, I’ve been going to Dr. Jacobsen for a while now and things are better. I’m still not a good patient, but they help me with my fears. Unfortunately I have had to have a couple of cavities filled (don’t eat Altoids, you heard it here first). I’ve broken a couple teeth — I grind my teeth at night and on the freeway. I now have a night guard.
Dr. J’s gentleness, confidence and dedication to excellence make me less worried during my appointments. When I have to get THE SHOT, they numb me beforehand with some numbing gel and I hardly feel it. After that I’m good to go. The assistants are very kind and cheer me up and the appointment people are always helpful. I’ve even gone in at 6 AM to get dental work before going to work. The insurance billing is good and they take my Delta Dental.
