I came this weekend to the Bicentennial anniversary public symposium for the battle of New Orleans that the tourism office put on at Nunez Community College. The speakers were wonderful, and I did not want them to end. Christina Vella was my special favorite, and I would love to have lunch or spend the day with her, just for her to finish telling the stories that she only had time to brush over and hint about. I am so very glad that this is available. This is the third annual symposium, and this year is the 200th anniversary. It is my understanding that the speakers change each year. I look forward to coming back to this (FREE!) event!
