The selection is pretty good and, while living in Appleton, I found myself going here for my grocery shopping more often than anywhere else due to its close proximity. The workers there are super helpful and very friendly. I have had lots of times when they asked if I needed help finding anything or just smiled and said, «Hi» while passing by me. So, in that sense, it felt like a very solid Appleton-friendly kind of place. My major complaints are that the produce is not always the freshest and the organic section is seriously lacking compared to other Appleton grocery stores. The bulk of my shopping needs usually involves organic products and fruits/vegetables, which makes Pick’n Save kind of mediocre. However, with the friendliness of the workers, the decent prices, and the overall food selection, this place gets a solid three.

I went in to this store to grab some of my usual items, and was shocked to find that they no longer have an organic section. So at a point where all other stores are expanding their natural and organic sections to allow their customers to make healthier food choices, Pick’n Save eliminates theirs? That’s pretty backwards if you ask me. They won’t be getting my business anymore.

By far one of my favorite stores in the Fox Valley. I have a hard time finding just what I need in a store. I do a lot of ethic and eclectic cooking and require a lot of specialty items. While this store doesn’t have all of them, and while their organic section is fairly limited, all the way around they do a good job in a lot of areas. The ONLY major downfall of this store is its proximity to Walmart and the driving nightmare that it is. Logistically speaking the location of this store sucks. But that’s a technicality. This is as close to perfect as it gets for me. And really reasonable prices too.
