Moms love gardens, so I came here with my mom (and dad in tow) on my recent trip to Appleton.
I was expecting something… well… BIGGER. It took literally 5 minutes to walk around this arboretum. There’s a visitor’s center, and immediately around it are flowers and plants. That’s it folks.
Fortunately, the sheer beauty of the garden makes up for its diminutive size. The tulips are breath taking and there’s also a rose garden with a beautiful sculpture of a woman in the middle (but no roses this time of year, sadly). Overall, I’d say that this garden is worth visiting. It’s free, the scenery is gorgeous, and it’s not at all crowded.
