Yum! We stopped by for a last minute treat at their closing time and I felt bad and stuck my head in and asked if we can still get something. They replied yes w smiling faces! Great service and yummy ice cream! We will be back and will come earlier :)

Kimi’s has working cow ice cream, & Italian Ices, here they do a little bit of everything from your banana splits, freshly made waffle cones, milkshakes, specialty coffees,& soda floats. They usually change a few flavors out weekly, to keep it interesting and fresh. Staff here has been very friendly and so far with service with smile and some good laughs. Plenty of outside tables/​umbrellas and indoor lounging available. They even host a small candy bar where you can weigh out and purchase by the oz/​lb. TV’s also add to the comfortable as well as restrooms.

Best ice cream I’ve had and best ice cream shop I’ve been to in a long time (not including gelato). Let’s talk about the ice cream… they have approximately 40 flavors of Working Cow ice cream (made in St Pete) so deciding on a flavor (s) is difficult. I got a scoop of black cherry and a scoop of birthday cake. The consistency and flavors were perfect. Bits of cherry and birthday cake added texture and more flavor.
The ice cream shop is located in a newer plaza in Apollo Beach. The interior is contemporary. Plenty of seating inside and out, including 4 leather arm chairs. They had the Bucs game playing on the TV.
Service was very friendly by both members of the staff, offering whatever sample I wanted. The friendly girl asked when I ordered if I wanted a loyalty card but I initially declined based on how far it is from where I live. But I ended up getting the card because I know I will be back. The ice cream is worth driving 30 min for.

OH MY GOSH… we have been here numerous times and I get a different flavor every time… just when I think that I have found my favorite, I find another! The single dip portions, in their awesome hand made waffle cones, are almost too much…
Every guest we have come here, we end up at Kimi’s…love, love, love it!

Used to be superb until original owner sold out. Milk shakes are extremely watered down now. Staff works hard but lacks a boss to take charge when there is a crowd. I will not return. Too bad used to be a top notch place.

The ice cream was very good but a little pricey. The strawberry topping for the banana split should be real strawberries. The attendant was very courteous. The store was clean but the bathroom needed a little attention

Been here quite a bit. Love having a sweet pick me up in the afternoon or evening. Decent prices, great selection, candy, treat and of course ice cream! Plenty of drink selections too. The staff is hit or miss in my opinion. Some are friendly but some seem unable to handle being busy without reacting stressed out and intolerant to people like me, who cant always pick out what flavor they want in 10 seconds.

I think this was the best cookies and crème ice cream I’ve ever had and I’ve had plenty as it’s my favorite. It’s how i judge a good ice cream place. It’s a fine line of not having enough cookies and being all cookie, and Kimi’s nails it.
Plus their salted caramel is delightful.
Prices are fair with 2 generous scoops for $ 3. Plus there is a punch card to get a free one after 9. woo to the hoo.

Visited the other evening in hopes of getting a sweet treat, instead I received poor treatment. The staff was unfriendly and made me feel extremely unwelcome.
The selection was average but the ice cream was good in my opinion. However, the next time I want ice cream, I’ll go for the chain instead of the local mom and pop.

Nice to have an ice cream shop close by (Mira Bay) and the ice cream is fine but just way over priced.
Service was ok selection was average. Maybe on a really hot day I might stop in again if I can get a second mortgage on my house before I go.

Ice cream was crazy good again. Had salty caramel, wow… loved it. The chairs still suck. We sat in the car and ate our treats.

Craving an ice cream today and my husband was craving a thick chocolate shake in this almost 100 degree weather. We decided to try Kimi’s in apollo beach as we have never been there. To our surprise it is a lovely ice cream and candy store with ice cream parlor atmosphere. Few small tables to sit inside and out. Lots of ice cream flavors and different flavors of cones and toppings. Ice cream was deliciously fresh and decadent. Had the butterscotch one and black cherry, ingredients are obviously very fresh. Store is very clean and staff are very cordial and accommodating. Definitely will return as there are at least 15 other flavors I want to try but if I don’t want to buy new clothes I have to pace myself. Highly recommend this little ice cream shop!!! Worth a drive if you don’t live nearby!

Wir sind am Ostersonntag auf der Suche nah echtem Eis «in Ruskin» auf Kimi’s in Apollo Beach via Internetsuche gestoßen — ein echter Erfolg. Schade, dass es etwas verloren in einer Gegend von nicht nicht geöffneten Läden (alles Neu!) liegt — aber das ist amerikanisches Flair.
Super Eis, super nette Mitarbeiter.
Wir sind noch 5 Tage da, und werden sicherlich nochmal zum Eisessen hinfahren.

What a nice little find. Been looking for a «real» ice cream parlor forever, now I’ve found one.
Tons of flavors to choose from, some I’ve never even heard of before. Different cone choices as well. I had maple walnut on a waffle cone (this flavor of ice cream can be hard to find south of New England) so I was very happy. They also have a good variety of candy to purchase as well, including Jelly Bellies !! (Moved here from CA, not too far form the Jelly Belly factory, which we visited several times!).
Staff was great. Didn’t get frazzled by the rush that happened when we arrived (of course). Only complaint is the seating. It was pretty uncomfortable. Don’t think you need a TV in an ice cream shop either, ice cream should be the only entertainment.
Will definitely be back to try some of those funky flavors !!!

Been coming since they’ve opened, and the ice cream and candy are both the same (good stuff)! So why the bonus star?
Events! The second Saturday of the month is coffee and cars, and Wednesday nights are cars night. They’re doing a viewing party of Walking Dead soon! Awesome stuff. Really, a great local place.

Very excited to have a good ice cream shop in the Southshore area! Variety of flavors of Ice Cream. I didn’t look too much I believe they even have a low sugar varieties as well. Good selection of candies by the pound :) I am hooked and will be back!
