Very good food, consistent and great value! The crab angels and lo mein are stand outs, but everything I’ve had was tasty and generous portions. This place is packed during the winter when snowbirds are in town. The service has always been excellent and fast. I am surprised to hear the servers do not keep their tips but I always see the same employees and they seem happy so I guess they are treated well.

For an American Chinese place, this restaurant is awesome. We tried the lo mein because that’s what other reviews raved about and it lives up to what everyone said. We tried it with the BBQ pork. We also had orange chicken(loved the spicy kick) and beef and broccoli(tender meat and good ratio of meat and vegetables). This will definitely be our go to Chinese joint from now on!

Very good meal at a reasonable price. This place does a brisk business. Clean, well run and busy. I’ll be back.

This use to be our go to Chinese restaurant. We would even drive 15min out of our way to go. After tonight we will not be returning. After sitting at our table for 25min after ordering, we were wondering were our food was. So I finally asked. She said she would check on it for us. A few min later she had still not returned so I got up and asked if she forgot to place our order? Her rude response was YEAH. Not even a sorry or anything. At this point I just said forget it. And we left.

First time here and we had lunch. Modest and clean little place. I had the Kung Pao Chicken and found it very flavorful. Just the right amount of spice, tender white meat chicken and crisp, tender, fresh vegetables. Hubby enjoyed his General Tso’s chicken. The Spring Roll’s weren’t great but that’s no big deal to us as they were part of the lunch combo. Under $ 14 for the 2 of us with hot tea. We will definitely return!

Love this place and very cheap! The service is very friendly and fast! Some of the chicken could be of better quality but overall a nice quiet place.

FYI the waitress does not get the tip. They are paid hourly, therefore they don’t allow tips to be kept or even split. It goes to the restaurant. This isn’t disclosed, and should be due to the fact that most folks tip based on quality of service to compensate for servers being paid less than minimum wage. This is not the case here.

We’ve been looking for a good Chinese restaurant since moving to East Mesa and finally found one we were satisfied with. We’ve had some stinkers but Lotus Garden was definitely worth the drive. I tend to judge Chinese restaurants initially by their sesame chicken, and when I first got home and opened the takeout box I was disappointed that it looked like dry breaded chicken. Turns out much of the sauce had slipped to the bottom… a good stir and it was all recoated in a light sweet sauce that was excellent. My kids even had seconds! The Lo Mein with Chicken was also quite good, perhaps the best I’ve had. The sweet and sour pork came dry with sauce on the side, which I’m assuming was to keep it from getting soggy. Everyone had seconds on that too! The mongolian beef was our only disappointment. Not because it was bad, just because it wasn’t what we were expected. It had a lot more kick than we expected, which I don’t necessarily mind, but I just wasn’t as crazy about it. All in all, it was worth the 15 – 20 minute drive and we will certainly be back!

Lotus Garden is a pleasant surprise for a restaurant in a retail strip in AJ. We have eaten in once with family, and taken out several times. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. The owner is always outwardly grateful for your business. The small eatery is always clean. We have enjoyed the fried rice, crab Rangoon, honey walnut shrimp, sweet & sour chicken and soups. The food was hot, fresh and plentiful. This style of American Chinese is what it is, but I enjoyed the quality of goods and services at Lotus Garden.

The food here is amazing, I was rather disappointed to find out the servers do not get to keep their tips. I tip the server not make a donation to the house, thats why only one star, always pleased with the food though, will only do take out from now on.

I found this place on Unilocal, and it had 4.5 stars so I figured I’d try it out. So glad I did! I took my mother to dinner here at Lotus Garden, and the minute we walked in they seated us then brought our drinks and egg-drop soup(Delicious and full of flavor, not watery at all, like some egg-drop soups) I ordered Kung Pao Shrimp and my mom got Almond Cashew Chicken. Both meals were very largely portioned with lots of meat and exquisite flavor! I highly recommend Lotus Garden to anyone looking for clean, classy, and delicious Chinese Cuisine

I’m a little disappointed. I order take at this location because of the great Unilocal reviews. I got pork fried rice & shrimp fried rice. Both lacked the sprouts that I look forward to. Also, the rice was very greasy. General T chicken was okay, not great but I will have to see if it’s any better dining in. Noodles were good, beef & broccoli was again just okay. Overall it was kind of bland and greasy. I will try one more time. Dine in only to see if that makes a difference.

I really like this place, with the exception of the music. It was weird 70’s music and too loud. But the food was great, the service was prompt and quick to please. The food was hot, fresh and fast to order. We even order take out from here often and it is always fresh and hot when we get it home. Prices are fair too.

From my one experience: this place has friendly service, delicious food and great prices. I paid $ 8(including tip) and I got a huge plate of General Tso’s with fried rice, a spring roll and a cup of my choice of soup. Plus they bring out a ‘chips and sauce’ appetizer for everyone(at least at lunch). The soup was very good and the chicken was on point. I was definitely full by the time I left. This place gets five stars because the only complaint I have is the location(a strip mall), because it’s too far away from me!

Great start with what was their version of chips and salsa. Warmed up with the egg drop soup but I feel like my girlfriends hot and sour soup was a little better. Honestly the best orange chicken I have had so far with a little kick to it. Plus the $ 5.79 lunch special beats the $ 8 panda dish any day, with a waitress that made sure my drink was never empty.

This is the first time I’ve visited here. I was a little weary of Chinese food in Apache Junction, especially in a Fry’s strip mall. I couldn’t have been more wrong. We came for dinner. The restaurant is exceptionally clean, the furniture is new, the food was delicious and the wait staff was great! Good portions and fairly priced. We’ll definitely be coming back! We didn’t leave hungry!

I’ll admit, I was a little nervous to do strip mall Chinese in AJ but I wanted Chinese, and the reviews were good, so we went for it. We will definitely go back. The egg foo yung was delicious, not greasy at all. My husband ordered the cashew almond chicken, the veggies in it were still crisp, the nuts were crunchy, and the sauce very good. We normally order spicy dishes when we get chinese, but tonight we were in the mood for mild. These dishes hit the spot with delicious savory sauces. Comfort food, I guess. I’ll look forward to returning to try other favorites soon. Or maybe find out what the piled high plate of giant shrimp and veggies was we saw being delivered to a nearby table and try that! Those shrimp were huge! P. s. service was great tonight, very attentive. Our glasses were kept full and our daughters special food request was happily met.
