Northern Exposure Tanning

They get one star because I can’t leave a half star or zero stars. I used to be a customer here, and the service was alright but in the past couple years this place has gone way down hill.
The place is somewhat clean and in a hidden location but I work in the city and sometimes can’t make it in until 8:30 or 8:40 pm. This business is supposed to be open until 9:00, and I’ve been told that they are closing at 8:35 — 8:40. It’s absolutely ridiculous. The owner or manager treats people with utter disrespect and it’s hard to believe in a small town like this, that they are still in business. They leave their open sign in every night to attract some customers I suspect.
The employees are totally lazy if this place is allowed to close down regularly at 8:30. Like counting down the drawer because it isn’t busy so they can leave early. If you go here, DO NOT buy a package and think you can go in whenever you like. That’s not the case. I very rarely will leave a bad review, with one star, but this is a joke of a business. There are a few other places you can tan in Antioch with way better beds and products. Beware!!!

Nice beds

I’m a regular here and I really love it! Everyone is nice and its very clean! Only negative is level one beds need to be upgraded. They are very small and no auto fan.

As a regular customer here I expect to be treated a little better than an annoyance to the owner. After I tanned my body was competly blotchy and red so I showed the owner and she didn’t seem care that much. I had then called the company that makes my tanning lotion that I bought at northern and told them about my red blotchy body. They said it must have been how the lotion was treated in the salon or dirty beds. So when I went back to tell the owner I would like to exchange my lotion (that was probably expired and that’s why it was 40% off) she wouldn’t take it back. I told her I find it hard to believe you can’t do anything. She snatchedy lotion and tossed $ 30 at me. AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE! Next time check the customers name in your system I WAS a repeat costumer.

I don’t go to tanning salons that often, but I needed to get rid of some tan lines for an upcoming wedding in a month. I went to Northern Exposure after checking out there web site and seeing what types of beds they have. They have the most state of the art beds in the area. The place is clean, plenty of parking, and the staff is really nice. I only went once since I was only visiting, but I would definitely return if I did live in the area. If you get too hot after tanning, there is a Basket Robbins next door with your name on it.
