Sorry to say this but not a great visit. The only bright spot was the chef he was amazing and cooked the food as I requested. He gets the star.
My issue was this we tried using a groupon and they tried to not honor it. I won’t get into the specifics due to its so lengthy and I do not want to waste my time. I will say this they eventually honored both couples groupons. Just make sure you read the fine print and understand it as I did so you can require them to honor the groupon they sold.
Also the food is so so not worth what they charge for the experience in my opinion. Presentation of food good.

Love this place. While they are all good ask for Austin. He is a young and pn top of it waiter.

First, the service was great. Everyone is friendly.
I had teppanyaki that day. The chef was amazing. I was like watching a show and having decent food. I ordered seafood and steak. But actually I like the fried rice the most. I’m Chinese and I can tell what is a good fried rice. Haha
I have ordered some rolls and share with friends. I have to say those roll are stuffed with fresh fish. And in high quality.
They also got a bar. The bartender was chatty. They make us rainbow shots and some flaming shots.

The only reason I’m giving this place 2 stars is because the hibachi chef was friendly and the food was good. Otherwise it would be zero stars. The rest of the experience was terrible. Our server had a snotty attitude, which set the stage for 2 hours of misery. The only reason we stayed was because we were with a few others to celebrate a birthday. HUGE mistake.
We heard excuse after excuse about how short handed they were. Funny, when we arrived there was only two other parties but our server had an attitude from the beginning and went downhill from there. I’ll be more specific when I get home I’m too angry right now.

I give this place two stars cuz they had good service, but somehow I still walked out of their paying 80 $.
Their cook did 2 «tricks» while cooking. The rest was just a mess. I think I’m a cleaner cook myself.
The rice was extremely salty. I returned it for different, and that was ok. Dry chicken.
The carts are rusty and dirty… Unsure when they get cleaned.

Food: Just ok. Service: HORRIBLY SLOW! I waited over an hour for 2 special rolls, then another 45 minutes for a hand roll and the place was not even that busy. Sloooooooooooow service. I wouldn’t complain if the food was worth the wait. But no.

This review is only about the sushi side of the house. I can’t speak for the other side but will try it eventually.
Why 5 stars?
$ 17.00 all you can eat sushi menu. The sushi is very well prepared with nigiri, rolls, side dishes, miso soup and other soup choices all included. It appears to be a daily lunch/​early afternoon special. The quality of the sushi at that price is outstanding. I find the service to be excellent as well. The sushi bar and bar have TV’s with our local teams tuned in.
Can’t go wrong with the sushi bar, all you can eat or not.

Super Slow Service, Tired of water. Arrived at 7:00pm still not eating at 9:00pm.

Terrible service today to be charged dinner price for lunch time due to Easter Day, but with only one waiter/​wait staff.
They forgot my daughter’s kids steak.
They forgot my steam rice. I didnt get rice until I was done eating my veggies and only a quarter steak left. And no discount or whatsover.
The bill automatically charged 18% tip but after paying with credit card, the printed receipt for signing had the recommended 18%, 20%, etc. figures again… which makes the bill misleading if tip was already charged or not. I bet they’ve gotten double tips with this scam.
Groupon Alert: it states not valid on federal holidays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Valentine’s Day. But they did not accept the groupon on Easter, which is not a holiday!
I dont mind the expensive holiday charges but, make sure it’s worth the bill… make sure you’re well staffed.
The restaurant was less than half empty! Need I say more?!?

This place is SO good!!! There fried rice is the best fried rice ive ever had. I like that they cookin front of you. Its a great show. The hibachi chicken is one of my favorites to order w/​the vegetables just the way they cook and season everything is perfect. This place is so much better then bennihanas. You actually get your own table if u chose to watch them Cook your food. There bar area is beautiful. I recommend to all!

If I had to pick one restaurant, in Antioch, to eat lunch and dinner from every day it would be Kobe’s, hands down! The chandelier in the middle of the bar is gorgeous, customer service is top notch, and the food is even better.
My family always comes to celebrate, birthdays and holiday’s, like today. Usually our party size is 8 – 10 but today it was 14 people full. Our party was so big today that they opened up two hibachi grills to cook quickly for our party. This created perfect execution for efficiency.
Our food adventure began with appetizers that our party shared were the sushi boat, Gyoza and the edamame. For those who ordered a hibachi dinner the mismo soup came out and salad followed right afterwards with no hesitation. Not everyone got a glass of water until the middle of the dinner but it was understandable.
Today, I ordered the Fillet mignon and shrimp hibachi dinner with Tom’s Special sushi roll. The hibachi dinner was amazing; the chef we had on our side did great presentation by lighting up the grill and everyone’s plate. It illuminated our table and made it feel extra special. During the cooking they made sure to interact both tables by playing the food catch game, but no one won. Anyways, the fillet mignon was cooked medium rare just like asked, the fried rice was exploding with flavor just like the vegetables.
Overall our family had a wonderful experience as usual and the staff at Kobe’s was on top of everything! Highly recommend coming here with big groups, family, friends and celebrations.

5 stars for chef Jason. He was so nice and gave us a really nice show. He was trying to have a genuine conversation with us.
The food was really good. Comparable to the Kobe or tanaka of Tokyo in Hawaii. Steak and scallops was soft, Fried rice had good flavor, veggies was alright but would have been better with more onions and maybe some mushrooms.
Only downside was the food took forevveer to come out to start the show. Maybe 30 min. Maybe it was because we had a party of 7?

customer service was non existent here and the sushi was not great at all. Afterwards my son actually felt sick. They use to be mediocre but now not so much.
Atmosphere and look of the place needs work. Not to mention we saw a dead cockroach right by our table ugh…

Wife and I tried Kobe on 1÷23÷16.
We arrived early for our reservations, but were immediately seated. The dinner started well… we had drinks ordered and delivered to our table in less then 5 minutes (!).
Since it was our first visit, we chose to try their hibachi grill. The seating around the grill was nicely spaced out. The entire restaurant, in fact, was very spacious. It did tend to cause voices to echo, and was a little noisy, but not so much that it was a negative.
Both of us ordered a steak and seafood combination. Our chef was very funny, and performed a number of tricks we had never seen before (we have been to similar hibachi-​grill restaurants dozens of times).
The food was good… not the best we’ve ever had at a hibachi grill, but not the worse, either. I would put their hibachi grill on a par with Shirasoni.
Overall, our experience was a pleasant one, and we would not hesitate to go to Kobe again.

I have to say that my last experience here was a good one. The first time was ok… We had really great service last night and an awesome chef.
Most of us ordered the same thing… NY steak and shrimp. I told the chef that I would share with my 5 year old. He was so sweet enough to make him fried rice still. What I respect the most is that it’s really hard to get my steak right at these hibachi places. The chef made mine just right and the shrimp wasn’t overcooked.
My family enjoyed their meals and my son enjoyed the fire show.

My hubby usually eat here sushi. Last night I joined him. It was my first time here! The host lady who was very nice offer us the grill table or regular table. Because we came in to eat sushi we seated in the regular table.
The place is very modern with a big round bar in the center of the restaurant, huge beautiful chandelier on the top center. Also have a sushi high bar sitting, grill tables for up to 20 people with private chef who perform fire and flipping knifes while cooking your food. Kind of a show!
We ordered;
MISO SOUP was so good and salty with small pieces of tofu.
EDAMAME BEANS was fresh, salty and crispy. Love it!
SPRING ROLL was fried in a deep oil and very crispy and delicious .
Side of BROWN FRIED RICE was also very tasty with the right crispy egg.
Side of GRILL VEGETABLES so yummy.
AVOCADO ROLL was very tasty, fresh and delicious.
SOLOMON ROLL I didn’t eat but my hubby said it was really good. One of the best in the area.
VEGETABLES NOODLES was a little bit oily, but still was good.
MOCHI GREEN TEA & MANGO ICE CREAM was very delicious.
We really enjoyed our dinner, definitely will be back!

My husband and I gave this place two solid chances. We love sushi and just moved to the area, so we wanted to find a local sushi place.
Both times the service was horrible, and the rolls were unpalatable. The caterpillar roll, which is supposed to have unagi in the center, was just a solid cucumber (see picture). We also ordered a rock ‘n roll, as what came was a deep fried crab roll. When we told the waiter it wasn’t right, he argued and said that was the correct roll.
Needless to say, we definitely won’t be coming back. I refuse to pay $ 10 for a unagi-​less caterpillar roll.

Wow! We came here because we had a Groupon. We both ordered the NY Steak dinner. The chef was skilled and entertaining and the food was perfectly cooked and seasoned! What a great place for delicious eats and fun! The fried rice was SOOOO good! My favorite part!
Best part is I still have my eyebrows. ;) LOL.
