Went for lunch, quite a lunch crowd as the weather was ridiculous. Food took a little longer than I expected(the server Isabella was very kind and apologetic), and there was a slight issue with our food when it arrived. The manager Brent was extremely quick to rectify the issue and made us feel like he really cared about our business. The food was excellent and their beer is above average in a city with a pretty weak beer scene. I will definitely be back as they really care about their customers and strive for excellent food and service.

Awful service — need better trained staff. I was a little disappointed I really like some of the other Rams Heads in my area. Food was okay — burger was rare when ordered well done. Server had an attitude when I asked for it to be cooked a little longer. We won’t be back.

Food was on the bad side of mediocre. Frozen cooked carrots served with hummus. Dry, over-seasoned and overcooked burger. If it were cheap, I’d give it three stars. Way too expensive for a couple beers and basic pub fare. Beer was decent though.

Had a 7:00 reservation before an 8:00 show. Gave order by 7:15. Food showed up at 7:45. Ordered the Wednesday chicken special which is HUGE… plenty for 2 people. Was good. Wife ordered fish & chips… which was good. Manager stopped by table to apollo for the slow service knowing that we needed to be done. Took half off of our bill without us even asking. Class act.

Ordered a plain cheeseburger with no toppings and nothing on the plate. Got a burger, or something shaped like a burger, with a wet tomato on top. They offered to take it back, I declined. They took away the pickle, tomato along with the top of the bun. Tasted the burger… supposed to be Angus steak burger. It tasted like bad ground beef and something unknown. Did not finish the burger. They brought the bill and had automatically comp’d 50% of the cost. The burger wasn’t worth $ 0.50 let alone the price! STAYAWAY!!!

Some guy said it was bad because they didn’t have wifi, but obviously he didn’t enjoy the beer or the fantastic food! I had the«Hey Mac» and it was fantastic. They made a fantastic medium rare Burger for me with Mac and cheese on it and candied cayenne bacon. They brew their own beers, and have wonderful ambience and staff. Not the classiest place, but a nice affordable place. I’ll be sure to come back the next time I’m in Annapolis Maryland!

Great pub food whether on a date or crawling around downtown with friends. Have always had good service, even when they’re packed.

Very professional Dylan, the bar man, served me up an EXCELLENT wintry dish of grilled brats, homemade cooked sour kraut, homemade mashed potatoes, and gravy. I am a professional chef of French cooking having lived in France for 20 years, and my hat is off to my brethren in the back for this simple, well concieved and executed fusion of continental tastes. Dylan’s recommendation of a Copperhead Ale paired perfectly. All in all, a very fine, non-sandwich(finally) lunch!

We came here to watch the game and it was a pretty chill spot. The bartender who tended us was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. We came to the area for brunch but also I wanted to watch the game so this was a good choice for us. My son ordered their pancake breakfast that was served with a meat choice and strawberries with fresh cream. He was full and happy with this. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits after deciding on french toast and sooo pleased I switched. I could have eaten a full bowl of those grits! The shrimp were ok but I wasn’t a fan of the chrizo. I didn’t think it was chorizo but beau said it was and he knows better than I. It would have been better if the shrimp were grilled and the sausage had a sear on them. There was a lot of peppers and onions which I usually don’t eat because they’re often used as fillers, however these were good and went perfect with the grits. Beau ordered their Dynamite Burger which came blackened and topped with candied cayenne bacon, chipotle aioli, American cheese and a fried jalapeño on top of the bun. Yes, you read right, candied cayenne bacon! I think I encouraged him to order this burger because I really wanted to try that candied cayenne bacon, it was so good. I’m going to have to try it myself in my own kitchen. We also ordered the calamari which could have been crispier. Our bartender recommended we try the pumpkin cheesecake because he had already ordered 9 slices himself lol. We did, however I didn’t like it. I couldn’t taste any cream cheese at all and it only tasted like pumpkin pie to me. Beau devoured it and asked me to duplicate it. I don’t know though, I’m not a fan of pumpkin pie. We’ll return

My Husband and I went to brunch over the weekend on 10⁄11. My Husband Loves the Rams Head and has talked up the brunch forever so we finally decided to go. Unfortunately it was the worst dining experience I have ever had. It started out with a server greeting us with a wad of candy in her mouth. after taking our drink order another server came up to us asking us if we order yet and just saying«What do you want». After we order the food takes 30 min to get to us and the server walks away without giving us utensils or the toast and coffee we ordered. after a full 15 min goes by and no one came back I got up to talk to the manager. I told her that my eggs are cold now and we didn’t have anything to eat the with. She says she will fix it and goes back to the kitchen and actually microwaves sunny side up eggs! The eggs were so overcooked and we never got the coffee or toast. My Husbands French Toast just tasted like regular bland toast. The all you can drink Bloody mary bar is also a sham when the server never comes to refill your glass. It was really a shame that my husband felt so bad after speaking so highly of this place.

After repeated mediocre experiences, I am finally writing a review. Last visit was during a concert and we ordered the crab dip, and were not please to find a long hair in our food which was not appreciated.. Note after complaining about the hair they graciously removed the charge from our tab, but it was understandably hard to find a server during the concert. as a result we were not able to enjoy any food during the event. Come on guys step up your game!

We chose Rams Head for dinner due to we had a concert to attend at Rams Head Onstage that evening. An additional bonus to convenience is that you get 10% off of dinner and your parking validated with the performance package. Unfortunately, our dinners fell short of mediocre and we were very disappointed. We both ordered the Ribeyes with mashed potato and asparagus. Initially, the presentation was decent. The Ribeyes were thin but, for the most part tender with some grisly chewiness in some portions. There was virtually no detectable seasoning other than the char from the grill and the mango salsa on top. It was cooked to order but had very little flavor. The mashed potato was very dry and bland. No creaminess or seasoning. They lacked butter, milk, salt and pepper. They tasted much like the inside of a plain russet baked potato smashed on the plate. The asparagus was cooked to al dente but, again the only flavor was the char from the grill. Our dinners reminded us of something that you would get at a diner or chain restaurant(not of the highest quality or not expertly prepared) but, at a much higher price. Please keep in mind though that the prices are not reflected in this review. Even though the standards should be higher to equate with the prices. The service was pretty good and the waiter seemed pretty well trained in communications and customer service. However, he seemed to be flitting about quite a bit and we were kept waiting for longer than usual at times. For happy hour there were two types of wings available(buffalo and old bay) if you order an alcoholic drink(the waiter gives you tickets). The wings were also mediocre at best. On the other hand, a highlight was the peanut butter pie for dessert. It was creamy, indulgent, rich, and decadent. Needless to say, Rams Head for dinner is off of our list of choices while visiting Annapolis.

Pretty cool bar in the Annapolis historic area that is quite the local hangout. Lots of taps– probably about 15 taps but lots of duplicates so really only about 8 – 10 different beers on tap at any given time. This is the place to try a lot of the Old Dominion /Fordham beers, which are pretty hit or miss. I’m not sure on how frequently they rotate kegs but there seemed to be some seasonals and oddities on tap when I was there. Food is okay– family style restaurant with some good stuff. Bottle list is small, and I didn’t see anything of tremendous interest. Very inexpensive and super casual for the area.. If you are looking for a local hangout with pretty much only local beers on tap, this is really the place to go in Annapolis. Ambiance is the highlight, crowded and fun. Beer and food are certainly at the 3-star level.

Really nice upscale pub with a good beer selection and decent food. During happy hour they had a free roast beef and veggie station that was almost enough for a full meal. Here’s the kicker. Excellent wings! I’ve tried a lot of them and these were the real deal. Crispy outside, juicy inside and good sauce choices. Major bonus! Excellent service for us. Definitely worth a shot for a casual dinner.

We came here before a concert at Rams Head. The pub like atmosphere had great service and friendly wait staff. The food and drinks could have been better in quality and size.

I love Rams Head! It’s a place where there’s seems to be a lot going on. It is busy, bustling and just so full of life! There’s an outdoor sitting, a garden type area, a basement bar, a regular bar and of course the rams head on stage. I was not verry impressed with the food except of course for their different happy hour deals! My fave is the free oyster every Tuesdays with an order of a drink! Whoa, who can beat that? Anyways, if you want to just have fun in annapolis, this is worth checking out!

Very comfortable pub brewery atmosphere — indoor/outdoor dining, with outdoor in back courtyard as well as sidewalk. Swift outdoor table service for a party of 7. I ordered the steak salad option — came out cooked as requested. Everyone was satisfied with their dishes. Charming location that has been a tavern of one sort or another since the 18th century. It’s also one of those bars that features a passport system in which you drink a certain number of beers(100) and then become part of the World Beer Club — name on plaque and all. Very enjoyable meal — good lighting — good food — comfortable space. The Bier Mussels were very good — as was the Belgian Steack Frites. Recommend coming here — whether for brunch/lunch or for dinner.

Nice atmosphere, decent food, decent service. Though I really come for the beer selection. There is a nice back patio. I like the downstairs bar better than the upstairs one. I usually get better service downstairs. If you like beer, definitely check out the World Beer Club they offer.

Happy Hour wings like trying to find a unicorn under a rainbow, then no flavor, hardly seasoned no dips terrible even if they offer them for free at least make them good. They run out constantly even though you have to have a ticket to get a few, they have a guy standing gaurd over them also with a tip jar… Service was good at the bar, the food I ordered was also good, however I judge a place on what they serve and this place served some crappy wings, if I would have paid for them I would have returned them. You can’t have a huge bar crowd and offer free shitastic Wings that suck. Make them taste good and dont run out in 5 secs

Went to this restaurant with a group and we were all happy with the experience. The atmosphere was fun and vibrant, good for all age groups. All of the staff were extremely friendly and always had smiles on there faces. The food was pretty good, but the beer was even better. As for menu prices they were about average for the area, Annapolis is not a cheap place. I would definitely recommend trying this place. Pros: Friendly Staff, good food, average prices, fun atmosphere, and great beer. Cons: Parking, Parking, Parking, there really is none. @Erin M.: We actually did call the restaurant and made reservations. During the call we asked about parking and the hostess said there were meters out front. There was no mention of a garage or validated parking.

For over a year now Rams Head has been a comfort spot for me in Naptown. It’s nothing fancy, but you can surely almost find anything here for all kinds of occasions. Don’t expect any gourmet experience or date-worthy ambiance, but for your everyday casual needs, Rams Head’s got it. Quick beer on a lunch run, immoderate amount of pub food and happy hour drinks after work, or a casual evening affair filled with live music. There are always food and drink specials every day, and the place is spacious complete with an outdoor patio/beer garden, a tea room, and a basement bar. You also get free food(wings, etc) with drink purchase during happy hour. When the weather’s nice sitting on the patio and soaking up the sun can be a refreshing experience. The food generally can fill you up, and needless to say, they have plenty of beers to choose from. Don’t count on the wine, though.

Arghh, as much as I want to give a 4-star, I’m stuck on 3. I only venture down to Annapolis a few times a year, but I head to Ram’s Head every time. And every time I head back home with a much lighter account balance. Their food and drink is very good, but I personally feel is a bit expensive for its quality. Not all items, but a majority of them seemed pricey for what the overall dish offered. IMO, their burgers are the absolute best items on the menu, both in quality and value. I can somewhat agree with previous patrons’ reviews of other menu items, such as the crabcakes and the salads. Nothing out of this world. But they seem to put a lot of effort into their burgers. I’ve had the Round Up, Dynamite, and the Hey Mac. They take seemingly easy burgers and transform them into great meals. Good quality meat, good toppings, good bun. And their fries, which can make or break a meal, always follow through. Along with price, the customer service keeps Ram’s Head from a higher rating. Believe me, I’m the last person to comment negatively on a waiter or waitress, but I really feel they could have been better. Because I only get to experience Ram’s Head a few times a year, I like to try different things every time. I was a little put off by our server’s lack of knowledge about the(non-extensive) menu. I was also put off by their lack of apologetic attitude; they seemed more annoyed than anything by our questions about the menu. It’s a good little spot in downtown Annapolis to stop in and grab a meal and a few drinks. I haven’t really tried any other restaurants or pubs in the area, but nothing about my experiences at Ram’s Head will keep me from going back. I definitely don’t spend sleepless nights thinking about my next meal at Ram’s Head, but it’s always nice to have a reliable spot for my next visit.

This place is solid for the extensive and diverse beer selection. The prices are a little high for the food. But the happy hour beer and potato skins were pretty reasonable. Crabcakes were so-so. Service was so-so. If I lived in the area I could see this being a cool happy hour spot.

We went for a concert(our tenth or twelfth). The concert was great. The food and service was fine. It isn’t clear to me that Ram’s Head can do much better than fine when service has to work in the dark and try to avoid sight lines and EVERYONE wants to cash out at once. The menu is sufficiently diverse to provide nearly anyone content. The servers are available and check back. The kitchen does a good job. It beats many if not most concert venues.
