this sushi buffet is all-you-can-eat Japanese, Korean, and Sushi for under $ 20 for lunch. They don’t just stick to normal sushi — their spicy sushi finger sandwiches are quite delicious. great selection. good for big groups.

The main competition to this restaurant is Todai in Fair Oaks. Comparing the two, I liked the sushi at Todai better, although I like how this place offers the fish pieces without the rice. They have a korean bbq option but it’s not very good. They do have the standard crab legs that you can find at any buffet. The hot food options looked alright but there wasn’t a whole lot of variety. The desserts consisted of a variety of fruit and a soft serve machine. Overall, I think Todai is a better option because it looks cleaner and has more variety. The cost is almost the same at the two places. Maybe the place will look better after the renovation. The ambiance when I went was a bunch of old Korean guys getting liquored up.

I love sushi, raw fish, and seafood, so I really enjoyed my experience here. The food was delicious, but the selection was moderate. For the same price, there’s another buffet in VA with a wider selection, which I prefer. Overall, it’s nonetheless an excellent Japanese/Korean buffet in the DC area. It’s extremely expensive.

The thing that makes this place worth it is the raw fish. Most Asian buffets bundle the raw fish with the rice and threaten draconian financial penalties/the evil eye if you leave the rice on your plate. I’ve *heard* this can lead to all kinds of crazy things like people stuffing sushi rice into their bags, shoving rice into hidden nooks and crannies in the table, or mothers eating all the rice left on their daughter’s plates to avoid waste, thus making the daughter feel guilty and unworthy of her mother’s love. These guys dispense with those silly rice bundling formalities and serve boats and boats of fresh, raw fish. They also have snow crab legs, this delicious honey coated tempura shrimp stuff, barbecued meat, and a variety of other stuff. The kalbi is kind of disappointing though, and you might want to go somewhere else for dessert(they have fruit, an ice cream machine, and some uninspiring pastries). Décor is eh, but when was the last time you went to an all-you-can-eat buffet for the atmosphere?

Very well stocked buffet. $ 27 is a bit steep but well worth it if you can eat your weight in shrimp, crab legs, sushi and all of the other yummies they have. When asked for white tuna shashimi, we were presented with our very own plate of ice, with beautiful icy cold white tuna perched atop. WOOHOO! Our party was a rather large group, a party of 9 and were celebrating a birthday for my honey. The staff set up a table in the back room with cut up fruit and candles with a stereo system blaring«Happy Birthday» for us all to sing to for no charge… it was VERY nice! The service was amazing and I will be going back to this place… after not eating for a week… crab legs and white tuna… here I come!

Located in Annandale next to Giant. It’s tucked away. You would think that the filled parking lot would mean that it is filled inside, but it is not. I think one of the reasons that people have not checked out this place is because it is so expensive. I went with family on a weekend for dinner and it came out to ~ $ 27 per person. This price is comparable to Todai. The thing that struck me about this place was that it was clean and nicely decorated. There is a ridiculous amount of sushi and sashimi. The fruit and dessert bar is clean and fresh. The bbq serves garbi, and the soup bar udon. And there are a number of other dishes(mostly seafood) that is equally as good. It really is worth the money. I like the fact that it was not crowded, so you don’t feel like you’re in a stampede. I hear that you can have shabu shabu at the table as well. It’s fresh, clean, and delicious. Definately check it out, but helps if someone else is paying.
