I came here once craving for curry, and thanks to thai by thai, I hated curry for months. The curry is so bad and its expensive for a fast food kind of thai restaurant. I rather go to a real thai restaurant and get real curry. The food is Americanized, which makes the taste very bland and the meat was very bad. The thai chicken curry was soooo bad. The rice was so dry too. Overall I would never come back to this place. It’s a nightmare. Thinking of my first experienced, it left me a big scar and the worst curry ever.

They made changes in the kitchen for sure. What a bummer. About a month ago the food started coming out differently – no fresh chilis to be seen anymore just the«shortcut» red pepper flakes and the fried rice is dry like munching on crispy pebbles, there is no good char on the veggies in the drunken noodles or fried rice either! This is what used to be the highlight. I order drunken noodles Bangkok hot and it used to be nicely charred with green chilies through it. And now? Both fried rice and noodles – meh. I thought maybe a couple of times somebody had a day off but five times later –Eeeh food. What happened?

The food is tasty and fresh. I ordered a large order online(to pick up) for a large family dinner and everyone raved about the food. It was also ready faster than what it had said, which was very helpful to me. I LOVE that they’re clear about how to order gluten-free and mark down what foods have allergenic ingredients in them.

Good size portions, but cheep on the meat! Ordered Chicken Pad Thai, Beef Drunken noodles, crispy basil duck, chicken fried rice, and beef panang curry. The beef and duck were very stingy on the meat, even though the duck was like 13 bucks! However, everything was well prepared and tasty, hot and decent portions(mostly noodles and rice for the duck and beef dishes though(I cry). $ 52.31 for the meal. Pretty steep, and where’s the meat! Décor was nice and modern. We ordered online, and the order experience was very easy. Food was ready right when we got there. It would have been neat, if there had been more meat!

Yes! Finally found a Thai place where it’s not an actual restaurant! The quality and quantity of the food was all very good. I got the Panang curry and it filled me up.

Thai by Thai is by far my favorite place to get Thai food when ever I’m craving it. It is cheap and affordable. The service is good and the food comes out quick. I think of this place more of a fast food rather than a restaurant. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. Also don’t forget to sign up for their rewards program so you can start earning points for free food. How awesome is that!

Great place to pick up Thai food. We always get drunken noodles/Kai rabert/sesame ginger beef. Some of the curries can be diluted or not have enough meat, so we stick to our usual and seldom venture off.

It’s OK. The fried pork ribs appetizer is delicious but it’s sad that that was the most satisfying part of my meal. I ordered panang curry which is one of my go-to Thai dishes and I just wasn’t impressed. The flavor profile was just okay and I was disappointed that it didn’t come in a bowl — what I mean is that there just wasn’t enough curry saucy goodness to even fill a bowl and that’s what I’m used to with this dish. It was served almost like a stir fry that didn’t have a lot of sauce to it. My bro liked the fried rice but I mean… it was just fried rice.

We are frequent customers now. The ingredients are fresh and flavorful. The meat is a good quality. We are impressed with the cleanliness of this establishment. The food is prepared quickly and accurately. The customer service is spot on. I am glad that we gave it another try.

First thought when I walked through the door was that the interior designer did a great job. Sleek designs, simplistic color scheme, and unique modern lighting fixtures. I’ve had a lot of Thai food in a lot of restaurants, but this experience is different from the rest. Thai by Thai is a mix of fine dining and fast food, which is a unique concept. Customers go up to order like they would at McDonalds, pay on the spot, pick a seat, and food is brought out to the table. My potato boyfriend went with the Chicken Pad Thai and I went for something on the«Adventurous» section of the menu called Sesame Beef. The Pad Thai was pretty good, same quality as other well known Thai restaurants like Sisters Thai, but for cheaper. I wasn’t a fan of the Sesame Beef but it’s cause I’m more of a chicken lover. It was a good dish, I guess I just wasn’t feeling that adventurous for the Sesame Beef. The food came out fairly quick, tables were clean, no real complaints. I did notice that there was only one guy working at the cashier and serving so no one was clearing the tables. I came in and noticed there were two tables uncleaned, by the time I left the tables were still untouched. I didn’t dock any points for that, but I think it would be smart to clean off the tables within 10 minutes of the customers leaving the table.

As other Unilocalers have said, it’s fast, fresh, and not bad. Though, I felt for the price the portion is a bit small… Drunken Noodle is my staple over Pad Thai, and the noodles here were done well but maybe a tad too soupy… I like that they do have a large range for heat level, and yes, the Bangkok Hot(second to last) is SPICY! So don’t go crazy if it’s your first time. Don’t be afraid to get a little adventurous and if you’re just looking for a Thai place to stop in and grab to go. #AsianLadyLikes

Modern décor. Fast efficient ordering at the register and my meal was at my table in just a few minutes. Very well done drunken noodle and tender chicken Tom kha.

This place is like the Thai version of Panda Express. Very much a fast food Thai place, however, the food was fresh and tasty. I got the spring rolls, chicken skewers, a spicy beef dish with jasmine rice and devoured the whole thing. The interior ambience is very inviting and pleasant. If you’re looking for a fast food meal with an Asian flair this is a great place to go.

This place opens awhile ago in Annandale, on Backlick Road shopping center but I just didn’t want to try. I placed an order via phone and the lady on the phone sounded very professional and very helpful which is rare for an asian restaurant. This place is small but apparently is kind of like a take out. You order at the cash register, pay then they will call out your order. They do have really nice dine in setting which you can choose to dine it, but most people do carry out. They also have reward programs everytime you pay, just let them scan the reward card and get free thai iced tea, free meal, etc.(Please see store for more details). I ordered two pad thai and one entrée. I told the lady that I eat vegeterian and she was really nice to explain that they have eggs and not sure it was okay for me. I told her yes, as long as there aren’t any meats. She placed an order and told me to come by 20 mins after. I arrived and the orders were ready for me. They lady was really nice to explained the reward program for me. My overall experiences for a carry out place is beyond my expectation. The food portion is okay, but the price is definitely doable for a quick meal or you ever crave for thai soooooo badly like I do most of the time. The quality is good, as I didn’t expect much from them. I will definitely be back to do more carry out.

Finally stopped in to try this place, and it was definitely different from what I expected from the outside. Walk-up counter for ordering from a reasonable selection of usual and some less usual Thai dishes. I tried the Kai Rabert, for example, which was brought to my table very shortly after I ordered and paid. I was definitely pleased with the freshness, flavor, and size of the portion(although there was a lot of white rice). Next time I’ll have to try my weekly lunch staples of Larb Gai and Papaya Salad, in order to compare to one definitely legitimate Thai restaurant I know of in the area –Bangkok Golden in 7 Corners. That said, this is a great addition to my arsenal of places to get my regular Thai fix… And it’s a quick, relatively inexpensive option. I think the owner accomplished what she says she set out to do. Oh, and not sure if it’s always out, but next to the register, there was a «secret» Thai menu for Thai people that you can probably get if you ask.

I order the pineapple fried rice –I had 3 pieces of pineapple. So far I’ve visited the establishment 4 times — the 1st3 times I sat down to eat, the food is descent but the wait is super long. So to avoid the long wait, I telephoned my order in on route. Due to my previous experience with the wait time I didn’t believe her when she told me over the phone that my order would be ready in 5 minutes so I decided to stop at the Starbuck there on the corner. I arrived paid for my order without checking, sat down for what I anticipated to be a descent version of Pineapple(Tropical) Fried rice, but other than the vegetables, and a few nuts there isn’t anything tropical about this dish.

Cool concept: fast food meets fresh dining experience. I have dined here a couple times and thought it best to sit down for a full review. Walking in, the ambiance is very quiet and subtle, there is no fast food fry smell despite the sounds of the crackling of a deep fryer while standing at the register. You walk up to order your food, grab a seat and the staff brings everything except for your drinks. There is a soda machine. I like the concept of real dishes(acrylics). The food prices are comparable to dining with lunch specials. I had a chance to try the fried tofu, one of my favorite appetizers. Fresh and fluffy were served! I do wish they had some sort of chili sauce. The two types of rolls(spring and summer) were unusual, not my favorites. The summer roll didn’t contain shrimp only chicken breast pieces. Tables had a variety of spices but not chili sauce. The pad Thai was amazing, lots of beef and noodles were tasty. On another occasion I opted for veggies and tofu(8.45) and was very disappointed by this dish. It was literally a bowl of onions and 2 tiny pieces of tofu and I think 2 tiny mushrooms. The fried rice was good, a nice portion and well seasoned. My friend enjoyed a nice bowl of chicken curry and thought it was a larger portion. The concept is great and some items were great. A few others will probably not be in my future. They do lots of takeout service and their menu shows that they offer catering options.

Not outstanding but not bad either. I did like the placement of the tables and booths. It’s very modern yet simplistic style. I came in about half an hour before closing and there were a couple people still eating. The menu is varied with apps, noodles, curries, thai iced tea/coffee, and even beer. I ordered the Krapow wings which had a somewhat oily and very, very spicy basil-garlic sauce. Also got a side of white Jasmine rice and the veggie pad Thai which was presented nicely but lacked cilantro and a lime wedge. The cook is an elderly Thai man and the girl expediting the food was Thai as well(maybe his daughter?). Overall it wasn’t «restaurant» quality but actually more like a home cooked meal. I’d come back to try the curry.

Stopped by for a late lunch. We ordered Spring Rolls, Pad Jungle, and Panang Curry. We were served the Spring Rolls and the Pad Jungle relatively quickly but did not receive the Curry. We waited a while giving them the benefit of the doubt but when people who had ordered after us had curry on their tables I went and asked. Not sure what had happened but after I asked about it they got us the rest of our order relatively quickly and without any issue. Although we purposely ordered the only item with a 2 heat rating I not did find it particularly warm so if you want it hot I would be sure to say that clearly. The food was pretty good, the staff was nice even if they did miss part of our order, and the setting is very fresh. I suspect I will try them again.
