Pleasantly surprised. Love the vibe from the outside, takes you back to the «days of old.» You go inside and definitely has a family vibe with a small play area for young kids off to the side.
The pizza is simply the best I have had since moving to southern Illinois. Their sauce and crust both are absolutely delicious.

I’m from the suburbs of Chicago and the pizza at Pizza Villa is as great as the best pizzerias up there. It’s quite unique, too. I’m very glad to have family around Anna, IL so I can visit here again. :)

Drove family 2hrs to eat this pizza and well worth the drive. It’s as unique and tasty as it gets and actually, even though not upscale at all, it’s a neat retro atmosphere, ma-​pop place to eat. Buy a two liter and pour into glass of ice yourself, and paper towel roll on your table. But, seriously, this pizza WILL be the best you have had and worth your drive!

My first thought upon arriving was OMG! Upon walking in my impression was it was ½ day care &½ pizza pallor.
The staff was friendly. Seems to be a family business.
The pizza was cut in to squares and for someone who grew up in the NY metro area that is sacrilegious. It was hand made and tasted OK but I can’t say it’s the best in S IL since I have nothing to compare it to. I must say it was a better then the fast food options in the area.

Even after decades this is still the best pizza by far in Southern Illinois (Dad’s in Goreville in the 90’s was a close runner up). When I come back home I make is a priority to get a few pizzas and some Italian beef sandwiches.
If you are even remotely near Anna and have the need to eat then you must try Pizza Villa… you won’t be disappointed. Call ahead and they’ll even have it ready when you get there… absolutely the best!

I grew up in Anna, so I may be biased, but this is by far the best pizza I’ve ever had, and I’ve tried a lot of pizza all over the place. I make sure to get it every time I’m back in Anna, and crave it all the time when I’m not. I only wish I could give them 10 stars! In fact, I only signed up for this site so I could create a listing for and review Pizza Villa. I do what I can to spread the gospel, because I never want them to go away.
I think their pizza’s even better the next morning cold, but that may just be me…
