I don’t think I’ve gone to a Ticketmaster counter since the advent of the internet. BUT, I vaguely remembered paying less in fees at counter vs. online so I decided to swing by the Ticketmaster counter at Briarwood when I was doing some Christmas shopping to pick up some theatre tickets. The ticket counter can be found in the middle of the mall at the mall information booth. The good news is that the gal helping me was really nice and helpful. We made small talk about the show I was buying tickets for and she helped me pick out some good seats. A much more personable experience than buying it online. And, since the tickets were a gift, I got actual ticket right away vs. a print out or waiting for them to ship. So that was good. The bad news is that you don’t get to avoid those fees. And for that I still think Ticketmaster sucks. I guess the only way I could have avoided them was if I went to the box office of theatre itself. But with gas it would have been a wash. I’ll stick to buying online from now on.
