If they mess up your order they won’t make it right and will be rude even if you’re nice. When I called it was because the sandwich was missing pepperoni. Post call and after further inspection I discovered the sub was also missing cheese. How someone misses cheese and pepperoni on a pizza sub is beyond me

I’ve heard that Pizza Bob’s has the best milkshakes in Ann Arbor so I decided to give it a shot. I came in at 11pm on a Thursday night and the place was pretty empty. It was one of those hole in the wall places in every respect: one small round table, cramped bar seating, and just one guy working the register/making all the shakes. I ordered a regular strawberry Oreo milkshake, it took him around five minutes to make it, total came out to $ 4.30 after tip. It was definitely a solid milkshake. The consistency was nice: thick, but the still very drinkable through a straw. I appreciated how you could mix and match multiple flavors without an upcharge. When comparing it to Pizza House, the other place on campus that people say have good milkshakes, I gotta say I like Bob’s more. It’s almost half the price, and Pizza House’s milkshakes are so thick and chunky that 70% of the time you just have to take the lid off and scoop it with a spoon. While delicious, it’s more like ice cream than a milkshake. I’ll definitely be coming to Pizza Bob’s now for my milkshake fix.

For the forth time in the last couple months we ordered from Pizza Bob for delivery and each time the order has arrived either incomplete or wrong. Today I drove down to the store to get the correct order and encountered incompetent and uninterested employees. It is a shame, I’ve been ordering from them for 20 years, but I will not do it again.

Sadly disappointed with the quality of service there. Unlike most restaurants or hole in the wall places, the quality of the food is only made better by the quality of the people working there. The girl that was working there(Michelle) made me feel as if my presence was more of a burden than an enjoyable customer. I have been to Pizza Bob’s only one time before and had a great experience! I’m sorry to see a place that that had fond memories have been replaced with bad ones. I won’t be telling people to go there again.

I have been eating subs & shakes from Pizza Bob’s since 1990. I used to get them for my kids when they were younger for Friday Fun Night after my divorce. My kids loved them and so do I! I recently stopped in there with my now 25-year old son and we had subs & shakes again for the first time in quite awhile. He got his usual Torpedo with a Peanut Butter/Hot Fudge shake and I got the Super Sub with a Chocolate Banana shake. Delicious just like I remember them! Fresh and hot(the subs anyways) and the shakes were thick and full-flavored. I’ve probably been here more than 20 times in my life and have yet to try the pizza. I need to get my kids together again for a movie night and serve Pizza Bob’s sub’s and shakes again! Now if I can just corral all three of them when they have time…:)

Been wanting to come here for the last 5 years! I had high expectations for the chipati and milkshake, and definitely was not disappointed. Got the chipati and although salad is one of my least favorite things, that magical sauce they use makes you love salad and bread! The milkshake was the creamiest thing I’ve had in a while: a vanilla caramel hot fudge deliciousness.

What can I say, I lived on chipatis with whole wheat pita and chicken throughout college, and it has become a tradition whenever I am back on campus. Great for dine-in, delivery, or pick-up. If you’ve never had a chipati, do yourself a favor and head in!

More years ago than I’d like to admit, I lived across the street from Pizza Bob’s. I’m certain that I got carry-out from there at least once a week. I fell in love with their chipati(a huge sandwich of cheese, peppers, mushrooms, lettuce and harbinger of my future vegetarianism) and their thick, sweet but kicky malts(strawberry-banana was my fave). So, when I found myself in Ann Arbor on a Saturday morning for the first time since my student days, I had to return here. It was the same as I remembered. The chipati sauce still performs an alchemy on the veggies. The strawberry-banana malt is still a sugary dream. The menu has changed little if at all(good taste time travel for fogey alums like me). This little tasty throwback store is worthy of acquaintance or re-acquaintance.

SHAKEREVIEW: So based on all the reviews of the shakes I thought I better give them a try. I’ve tried both the coffee and the«most popular»(which I think was everything listed in the middle row or something… chocolate, peanut-butter, and other stuff). The coffee shake is tasty, but rather mild and light. An average shake… in fact the cappuccino shake at Jack in the Box or the jamocha shake at Arby’s are both better. The other shake almost tastes warm, perhaps because of all the mixings in it… meanwhile the straw keeps getting clogged. I’m not a fan. While not crazy expensive, it’s a little steep for a hole in the wall milkshake.

I thought this place went out of style with the first SNL cast. But voila… SNL is still around… and so is Pizza Bobs !!! This place is STELLAR !!! The pizza subs are great — its a lot of stuff you shouldnt have. In this age of food police and quinoa everything its nice to find a place that hasn’t changed with the times. This place is iconic and the food is amazing. Its a classic joint and its been there as long as I can remember and I grew up in A2. Its just as good now as it was then. Not to be missed.

Alright, this place smells like the bathroom of an airplane and the workers looked at me like I went to Ohio State when I asked what their most popular milkshake was. So service wise, I give them a D. Just get carry-out so you don’t have to deal with these hooligans. Food-wise, I truly love their chapati. I got the chipopeye once(like popeye the sailor because it has spinach get it??) and it was too healthy to be tasty. Just go with the real thing. The dressing is phenomenal and you feel somewhat healthy for not getting a pizza. Shakes were also really good. You can pick multiple flavors in one shake, so I got crafty and ordered mint, hot fudge, and oreo in mine. Devine. Anyway, just carry it out like Justin Timberlake.
