I love to stop here whenever I’m up on North campus. Like any similar bagel place, they have different bagel sandwiches and various flavored spreads/cream cheese. These are all predictable tasty. The fragel though — that thing is exceptionally good. It’s a deep fried cinnamon raisin bagel that is then covered in sugar. They fry it up right when you order so it’s always hot and fresh. I highly recommend that you eat it right away.

Coming from out of town for a day trip in Ann Arbor, I was told that I needed to try a «fragel». I had no idea what a fragel was, and I was told it was unique to Ann Arbor and was a cinnamon raisin bagel that is fried and coated with cinnamon sugar. I have to admit I was skeptical at first since a bagel is already so dense, and imagining it fried didn’t sound good. But boy was I wrong. This fragel is fluffy, soft, and perfectly sweet. There was no line, and we were served a warm fragel quite promptly. I’m very happy with my experience with the Fragel and recommend it for anyone stopping through Ann Arbor!

Never had a fragel before. It was AMAZING!!! Exceeded my expectations. I have a deep fryer at home. I might start making my own. Only a little more than a buck here. Hot, moist, and fresh. Kind of messy with yummy sugar going everywhere with each bite. Other items look great too. Might return to try their other bagels, cream cheeses, and sandwiches. All looked good and were cheap. Would have taken a pic to post but I devoured it too quickly. My bad guys.

I stopped by here on the way to work recently to pick up bagels for work. I got a baker’s dozen and 2 tubs of cream cheese plus a couple fragels. Being new to the area I had never tried a «fragel» but had heard good things about them. The fragel wasn’t for me but my other coworkers loved them. The workers were friendly and quick. I really liked the everything bagel I had. I will definitely be returning.

Basically a bagel donut. It’s great and super cheap and super fast! My boyfriend lives right behind the shop so it’s dangerously convenient, especially for those who have classes on north campus. Haven’t tried their bagels but visiting from New York, it was nice to even see a bagel place there!

Love this place! Friendly staff, tons of bagels and house-made cream cheese varieties to choose from. I love the Smokin’ Bird sandwich, which is turkey, Swiss and spicy honey mustard on a bagel of your choosing. I’ve gotten it on their Honey Wheat, which proved to be too sweet for this sandwich. I’ve perfected it with the Parmesan bagel. Oh man. Also if you’re really feeling like you just need to get totally bagel-wasted, try The Matt. This concoction is a Fragel(fried cinnamon raisin bagel rolled in cinnamon sugar) with eggs, cheese, and bacon. Is it too much? Or is it just enough? Try this place out. It’s delicious, and the prices cannot be beat.

My go-to bagel place around Ann Arbor. The go-to bagel is a toasted everything with chive cream cheese. Good amount of garlicky, fatty goodness on any given morning. Comes out great every time. The workers behind the counter are awesome, too. Super polite and always with a smile on their faces.

YOLO, baby! The best things in life are free, but one of the near-best things costs $ 1.18, a Fragel-style Bagel from Bagel Fragel. These are deep-fried cinnamon raisin bagels rolled in cinnamon sugar. They come out warm, chewy, sweet, and delicious. I could feel the blood-sugar rush as I chewed my way slowly through mine. It’s not a diet food, but if you just ran a triathalon or you can’t afford Prozac, try coming in for a Fragel every now and again. Definitely worth it!

First time customers, and next time we are in A2, we will hit them up again! My husband had«The Matt» breakfast sandwich, it comes on a Fragel. I had just the Fragel. SOGOOD! These bagels are soft, and tasty! We also got half a dozen to take home of their regular bagels, they had a very good selection. They were busy when we pulled up on a Sunday morning, so we knew it must be good!

Freshly fried fragels. Say that 3x fast. JK you don’t have to. But in all seriousness, these fragels are amaaaazing. I walked in one Saturday morning to buy a dozen of these and the employee fried them on the spot for me. They were warm, soft, and full of cinnamon-sugary goodness. Love the innovative idea!

The corned beef sandwich paired on this weird dual pumpernickel bagel is my one true weakness in life. I go in and won’t choose anything else because I have found the Mecca of bagel sandwiches. I have tried the fragel though, which was good, but not something to rave about. Was like a huge apple cider mill donut with all the sugar and cinnamon goodness, but I feel it would be better paired with some cream cheese. And a coffee(but bagel shop coffee is always as bad as diner coffee).

I’ve only had the Super Nova on an everything bagel here, after an intense craving for some bagel and lox. This bagel was full of cream cheese and smoked salmon which was well complimented with the tomato and onion. It’s pretty hard to find a good bagel and lox, but luckily I don’t have to drive far to find one now!

This review is strictly for the fragels since it’s the only thing I’ve tried from here but boy is it amazing! I mean, can you really go wrong with a cinnamon-raisin bagel deep fried and topped with more cinnamon sugar goodness?!? It’s so soft, chewy, warm, and just comforting. It makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It’s literally pure bliss! I always get my fresh and hot so that it’s make it all the better. The staff is also always helpful and will let me sample any cream cheese I want. There are so many options so it really just depends on what I’m in the mood for. I usually go with the sweeter ones to complement the sugary fragel. I think my favorite is the chocolate chips cream cheese with Hersey’s syrup… so good. Bottom line, if you’ve never had a fragel, make your way there ASAP. You won’t regret it. Also, I’ve been there several times and the fragel is still good warmed in the microwave for a few seconds. Fresh and hot is always better but if someone still is quite tasty after it’s been microwaved, I’d say we have a winner.

They have a mindboggling selection of bagels, everything from plain to jalapeño and even habanero bagels. I really miss having good bagels since my time in the northeast, these are not quite that good but definitely the best outside of the northeast. I had the jalapeño which was good, it wasn’t too spicy so if you like it hot you can probably go with the habanero bagel. Their sandwiches are really affordable as well.

Oh my goodness! Can you say«OUTOFTHISWORLDAWESOMEYUMMYDELICIOUS»?? I won’t be writing a very long review of this place because there’s not a whole lot to say really. The best thing I can say is that this business is in Ann Arbor, MI and about ½ hour from my home. We walked into this place and it was first of all very clean and orderly. The employee was also the manager. He was very very nice and pleasant. I had never tasted a «Fragel» before. This is a deep fried bagel with cinnamon and sugar on it or rolled in it. OMGosh… it is to die for! Soooo yummy and melts in your mouth. I am sure there is about a zillion calories in just one of these but it’s really worth it for a «once in awhile treat». Oh and they are not very expensive either. not really much more than a regular bagel. They are best when nice and warm and freshly made too. Ok now you are… or I mean… I am making myself hungry for one and my mouth is watering for one right this minute. Unfortunately it is 11:30 at night so they aren’t open and Im not going out… but If it was possible, I think I’d go and get one right now…

I love it here! Not only does their food taste good, but there’s also a wide variety of bagel and schmear flavors. The people working there are friendly and seem to always be in a good mood. I haven’t tried the famous Fragel yet, but on a particularly hungover weekend morning, I’m going for it. I stick to the bagel with cream cheese, or the awesome egg and cheese bagel sandwich(it’s so not like the processed fast food versions of this). They even are friendly to the Utah fans who were in the store on the day of a game at the Big House. Now that’s serious customer service!

Love love love Fragels. I don’t like donuts, but I love Fragels! They’re not too sweet and the texture’s perfect. Be sure to go there earlier though… my boyfriend and I tried going 30 minute before they closed and they already turned off the fryer which meant no fragels. :(

The Fragel lives! Raisin bagel dough, deep fried, rolled in cinnamon & sugar. Fragels and cider used to be a game day tradition when the Bagel Factory operated on S. University. Now, you have to map your approach more carefully to forage on fragels. But the second you touch that fragel-warmed white paper sack, and smell the cinnamon, you’ll know it’s worth it. Your smartphone might even get encrusted with cinnamon and sugar because you’re so excited about writing a mobile review that you don’t take time to wash your hands. Yes, fragels are that good.

Not being from Michigan I had no idea what a Fragel was, finding out it is a sweet fried bagel, I HAD to have one. On our way home from Ann Arbour this was the last stop, since I had no idea what they were I pointed to the cinnamon bagels and asked if this was a Fragel. He told me the Fragels were over there. In a hot glass case filled with cinnamon, sugar and raisens they were nested to stay covered and warm. The taste so simple, so good truely yummy! For my taste too plain, not greasy or much more than a regular bagel but a great treat and nice experience nonetheless.
